Nice hotel but far from Sapporo”
Really enjoyed my time at the Chateraise Gateaux. Would definitely stay there again. My only complaint is that it's difficult and expensive to travel from downtown Sapporo to the hotel. The hotel bus from the downtown bus station made it a bit easier, but you really need to plan accordingly in order to meet the bus.

not centrally located but nice resort/spa”
Overall a good experience, the hotel sits on a waterbody so the surrounding seemed peaceful. nice friendly staff at check in, clean and comfortable room facing the pond/lake. Its location is quite far, so it would be more convenient if you drive esp if you want to do day trips etc. we got the coupons for spas/pool. The spa/onsens are big and i enjoyed the outdoor ones (they call it earthen bath, water is yellow). they also have saunas and steam bath in the spa/onsens area. good selection of restaurants with varying budgets. the fitness centre is not part of the hotel room package, need to pay an amount to get into the fitness centre/gym.

Great Outing for the kids”
After 7 days of travelling around Hokkaido and staying 4 persons, 2 adults and 2 children, in prison size rooms this hotel was a welcome relief. It was clean like many Japanese hotels but the big plus were the large rooms, a water theme park with heated pools which felt fantastic on a cold day, a great onsen with 8 soak pools and 2 saunas with different temperatures. Fantastic! Location is a bit far from downtown Sapporo but that suited us fine as we were done with sightseeing. Pool and onsen also needs a bit of walking but its worth it. We ate by the poolside in our wet swim wear. Food was reasonably priced and tasted quite good too. Overall our best hotel stay in Hokkaido.

Extremely huge, its a Kingdom!”
This hotel is open by Chateraise, well known for its cream puff. They have their own pastry shop near the onsen. Onsen was satisfactory. It snowed heavily on the night we arrived, snow piled high about half of our Toyota Serena. That's one downside for outdoor parking. Spent about an hour clearing the snow for our vehicle. It would be a very fun hotel to stay in the summer.

The hotel environment is excellent”
The hotel environment is excellent, facilities keep well but getting old and need re-decoration. Room is much bigger than hotels in Sapporo, it is clean and comfortable. Shuttle bus stop can easily found outside the North entrance of Sapporo JR station, but it take 40min for each travel. Special thanks to Mr.Ito, he is an excellent and professional staff who help us a lot during our stay. For sure we will consider this hotel when next trip to Sapporo.

Hotel provides shuttle bus from Sapporo JR Station. It takes about 45 minutes from Sapporo Station to the hotel. You could shop and eat at JR square and then return to the hotel to enjoy spa and fitness facilities.

overall satisfactory except for its location,it's abit far from city of sapporo. there's a free shuttle bus from sappora station to this hotel, so if u stay here remember to opt for this shuttle bus instead of taxi, it took me to get to this hotel from sapporo city centre

we reseved for a semi-double room but the bed was wide enough - about 140cm in width. the bathroom was spacey unlike most business hotels. though the hotel was a bit old, we liked the spa and the pool. for only , it's really worth it!

This place was wasted on me (I only wanted a place to stay the night, which is hard to find in the Summer, on Saturdays in Sapporo). Lots of activities. Spa was closed when I arrived (very late close to midnight).

Didn't expect the hotel is in the middle of No Where Too far ....from shops or Sapporo CBD. It's 45 minutes by the shuttle bus , the Hotel is good for young family with kids under 10 or for the elderly.
