“Great Place Just a Few Issues”
This is a great place to enjoy the nature and play some amazing golf. The rooms are a little dated, although the bathrooms have been renovated. But the staff is nice, the restaurant is solid, and the overall environment is great. We did have a rather foul odor coming out of the bathroom, which seemed to be worse at night. I’m not sure if the plumbing fixtures were vented properly. But it seemed like we were getting some sewage gasses coming back into the room. Not an easy fix if the plumbing fixtures are improperly vented. But maybe it was something else, and a more simple fix for the hotel. Either way, it was the one big strike, that was the hotel’s. The other big strike was that the wall between the rooms are a bit thin. And we had some morons next door who wanted to party in their room all night until the sun came up. Even after a 3:30 AM knock and there door, and a polite request for them to stop making so much noise in the middle of the night, they continued until 5:45 AM, when I finally decided to give up trying to sleep. Not the hotel’s fault. But it did sour my experience. Losing an entire nights sleep is not one of my favorite things to do, when I’m paying for a place to sleep. But again, fix the odor in the bathroom, and get me some respectful neighbors, who actually sleep and night, and I’d return again!
