Where to stay in Chaweng
Chaweng hotels & accommodations

Still a brand new hotel with clean and nice rooms, of course no good views, but perfectly located in the heart of Chaweng. It's not for everyone, but specially for a night before going to airport, that's a good location! It was not my first time (already 25 nights here) and i will come back again next year. :) Only things which could be improved: - motorbike parkin...

The hotel is near Airport though a bit away from good beach (The beach in front of hotel is not good for beach activities) and central Chaweng. Hotel provides few transportation and will be happy to call a taxi. The hotel is built on slope and hence golf kart is necessity if you need to go back to room in most cases, recommend hotel keeps a few more as the slope is ste...

Among all the hotels i have stayed, SALA Chaweng is the best of the best. With great hospitality and very good view, you will experience unforgettable stay in this hotel. Starts upon check in, the staffs already impressed you with special offers for the soap, pillows. Everything will be prepared to suit you. I booked for partial sea view room and it has great view. T...

Really great hotel, lovely facilities. Easy walk along the beach or along the street into town. It took us an hour to walk into town on the first day as there are so many restaurants and shops competing for your attention! It only took half an hour the next day when we were less distracted. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were super friendly. I can’t believe some of...

I chose this hotel as it was the best-rated hotel in Chaweng here on Agoda. Probably I was expecting too much because the other reviews were so good. It was nice, but the resort is starting to show its age a little compared to newer hotels. In 48 hours we had problems with a leaky aircon unit and the power going out for no obvious reason only in our room. I We wer...

This is a fantastic hotel in a great location North of Chaweng beach. It is easily a 15 minute walk along Chaweng beach into the hectic nightlife of Chaweng. However, the hotel is in a much quieter part and is a welcome oasis of calm. We stayed in the main building which has the superior rooms. They are spotless and more private. If u have mobility issues or young kids...

Aside from being under the flight path - which I didn't much notice anyway - this hotel has all you could want from a Chaweng hotel; it's modern, and clean, has a good breakfast buffet and is centrally located, close to numerous restaurants and bars. The pool is good, there's pretty easy beach access through the resort over the road and the rooms are a decent size at a...

Good location near Chaweng busy area The resort has good location near the busy area of Chaweng with many restaurants and all sort of shops. From the airport takes about 15min costs 130bht shared minivan or 500bht for taxi. The Resort has two parts separated by a busy road. The first part has the reception, the main swimming pool, the beach, breakfast and the sea vi...

We got a stunning room (in the building of the Ocean Wing Site), which was beautifully decorated and newly renovated. The hotel is very clean and well located on Chaweng Beach. It is right in the middle of the action, as this hotel is very well located at Chaweng Beach section. A few minutes walk to the Ark Bar, or Chaweng Central Festival etc. The two pools and the gr...

Great hotel, we stayed at Montien 4 times and always had good experience. Good for groups/families, they have a wide range of rooms from budget to pool villa or apartment style with kitchenette. Free baby cot provided, ask in advance to book all your rooms close to each other, they also do pick up/drop off to airport by email booking. Food & drink prices at hotel resta...

We had to stay in crowded, noisy, touristy Chaweng because of a wedding there. We purposely stayed away from the large hotels with big pools and loud music. It's amazing that King's Garden Resort exists. It's such a random hotel that doesn't really fit into the Chaweng identify--which is perfect for us. We wanted something quiet, somewhere where you don't have to fight...

This was a great hotel for our one night stay. The hotel itself is stunning and the room can't be faulted in any way, other than a few too many Mosquitos but that seems to be the case throughout chaweng! If you want a quiet hotel in chaweng then this is a good choice and the Red Snapper restaurant a few doors down is lovely too. The staff at the hotel are also very hel...

The hotel is centrally located just on Chaweng beach. The staff is very helpful and nice. The breakfast is poor, not many choices and average quality. Food in the hotel is quite expensive, but one can easily go out to the neighboring streets for great food with less money. The pool is a highlight. It is very big and few people. But in the same time, there is almost no ...

By far one of the best hotels in Chaweng! We stayed only 2 nights here - wish we could have stayed more however had already booked somewhere else. We arrived to a welcome of fresh drink and towel at checkin and from there it only got better! We enjoyed our stay so much - everything was so great. The rooms had a coffee maker and everything else you could possibly thi...

This was our second time in two years we stayed at the Muang Samui. There is simply no better place for people of any age. It has everything. The best rooms overlook the pool which is perfect. This hotel really is on the beach. Five steps from a pool room into the pool. 5 steps from the end of the pool onto the beach! The atmosphere on the beach is electric both day a...

just stayed at the chaweng regent in 2 spa villa rooms. we had booked 2 premier rooms but were pleasantly surprised when on reaching the hotel, we were informed that we had been upgraded. the rooms were large & very well maintained. the full sized bathroom had an excellent shower area & a jacuzzi that was open to the sky. breakfast at the chom talay restaurant was amon...

This hotel is located in the quiet side of Chaweng beach. We went with our 1year old baby in the end of November and the weather was good - it did not rain for the 4 days we were there. We had a cot FOC, 2 sun hats, 1 straw bag, complimentary fruits basket with bananas and thai orange. We love the views from the 3 floor and the outdoor jacuzzi. The bathroom had a glass...

We stayed at Baan Talay mid January as our last destination in Thailand after a months travelling around the south islands. The room we had was a garden view villa room and although we did not have a garden view we did not mind as you get all the views you need around the corner of the beach and sea! The pool was great and there was always enough sunbeds. The hotel is ...

The hotell is placed at the end of Chaweng beach. You have to walk little bit to the main area to shop. But can take taxi from main road for 50 bath pr person. The hotell is beautifull and clean and offer a quiet stay away from the manny bars in the centrum of chaweng beach. Dining down at the beach is stunning but the prices at the hotell are quite expensive. But you...

Fantastic! This hotel is located in the best area of Chaweng beach. The beach in front of the hotel is great and the pool is very nice! The poolside entertainment is alot of fun! Indeed a very pleasurable stay. Location of the hotel is exactly where you want to be staying in Chaweng beach. I believe Chaweng is one of the best beach to stay after visiting nearby beach. The soft sand and water is different to other beaches in Samui. Hotel's layout is very nice, simple yet sophisticated. Room is a bit small but fits my stay with no problem. All...

We should have been given an option to choose our rooms, as there were some vacant rooms near the beach. Overall, a very good experience in Ko Samui, and definitely value for money given the prime location of the property. The staff were warm, yet not overbearing or interfering. The beach in front of the property was beautiful as well and is a dream for swimmers. Just ...
Cheap places to stay in Chaweng

Firstly I would like to thank the staff as they were absolutely great. I believe it was run by mother and daughter and both were so friendly. The room is nice and HUGE bed, and decent shower facilities. Great location short walk to chaweng beach. Really have no complaints even booked our transfer through the hotel and had no problems at all Thank you very much

Amazing, clean, cold aircon, kind of close to samui airport and the main part of town, can rent scooter from hostel normal samui price, taxis charge way more, no taxi meter on samui! Very friendly korean guy when i checked in. He spoke good english and gave me lots of info and booked me a ferry for 300thb to go to ko phangyang for the next day. Definitely stay again, e...

Hi there! We stayed at Tam's after booking at the last moment through agoda website and it was very relaxed with a friendly and helpful owner. The room was very spacious and clean and we had a hot water shower. It is very easy to hire a motorbike from the owner (you don't have to leave your passport !). In other places in Chaweng you had to leave the passport which I w...

Nice and clean place where to stay. It's near Samui main road so you can easily travel around island, not so far from beach. Stuff is friendly and helpfull. Bed's are big and comfortable. It's a little difficult to find hostel. It's not on place where map show it is. More on south, on lights left ;)

The place is clean and comfortable. However upon checking in, I discovered a bed bug and was pretty freaked out by it. The reception staff managed to changed me to another bed in the next room. Aircon hours unfortunately only start from 7pm. Overall, a good place for backpackers

I had a wonderful 9-day stay at Nid's Bungalows. Nid and Alan are incredibly friendly and helpful as are the other staff. The place was so clean I felt I could eat off the floors in the bathroom. I rented a scooter and booked a car to drive me to the airport for my flight and both transactions were easy and reasonably priced. Breakfast (not included) was reasonable for...

Enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The hostel is well kept and modern. New bathrooms and the rooms are neat and clean. The cubicles are a great idea and offer spacious privacy at a very cheap place. Tv, aircon, power inside the cubicles. Location is 200metres from chaweng beach and walking markets. 500metre from ark beach club if you want to party. Breakfast and drinks at...

Our stay at Samui star was without a doubt one of our highlights of Samui! The friendly owners helped us ring our previous hotel in Koh Tao to trace a important souvenir we left there... They arranged everything getting it delivered to us. We took advantage of the motorbike rental service as well as them giving us a map and detailed description of the best places to go...

To be fair to this hotel, the smell isn't their fault. Perhaps because of the rainy season, the whole area seemed to smell slightly off to me. The hotel's location right on the main street in Chaweng had both it's pros and cons. It was nice to be around the restaurants, nightlife, and bars, but there was some noise from the street at night and, as I said, the smell. T...

I went to samui with family member. This hotel has nice staff and stratergic location. Easy to find food and near to the shops. Just about 4 min walk to chaweng beach. You can just go to chaweng beach through the chaweng resort. The female staff at arina counter is very helpful. You can deal any tour package with her and it is cheaper.

My favourite hotel of all in my month long gallivanting across Thailand. At AU$23 a night, my friend and I were worried we were overpaying for what we would get. But because we hadn't been to Koh Samui before, we decided to take the risk. What we got was fantastic. First thing - rooftop bar/restaurant and pool. Wow. The food was at a decent price, and it tasted amazi...

My boyfriend and I booked the Lotus Hotel for 3 days then another 5 days after a short trip to Koh Phangan. We love this Hotel. It's perfect for the rates offered and location! Rooms: Beds were quite comfortable considering most beds in Asia are like sleeping on cardboard. We loved the fridges in the room so we could stock up on snacks and cold drinks from the local m...

Stayed for 2 nights. Got a great price through Agoda. Staff were friendly and provided an all round good service. Room was spacious and plenty of hot water when having a shower. Limited TV channels but had HBO movies which was handy when spending time in the room. The main drawback was the noise. I half knew what to expect as the hotel is situated yards away from Green...

the arina boutique residence is one of these hotels where you basically get exactly what you would expect for a hotel in this price range. the rooms are clean and spacious enough, but not particularly exotic. but there's a/c, a tv that actually works, a decent-sized refrigerator and a shower with hot water. the woman who runs the hotel, khun bet, is a nice lady who...

Good point 1. Great location(1min walking distance to the chaweng beach, 1min walking distance to tesco, Just cross road food market, and 3 convenience store) 2. Really kind and cool boss and staff!!! I traveling almost 5month..only Thailand! You know we stayed many hotel and guest house. This is super best what Here staffs are kind and helpful and warm heart. Fir...

So I got some problems with the payments with this hotel at first, because they wanted to get paid in cash while I just lost my ATM card. They were very helpful in suggesting other methods of payment, like Paypal. The staff was also very helpful in booking the bus to go back to mainland. The distance from the property to the beach is about 15-20 minutes away by bicycle...

This is one of the best Guesthouses i stayed in Chaweng. Big rooms for the money, laundry at place, even rent motorbike if you want, big friedge, 2water free of charge Every day, tv , hot shower, towels, soap, house keeping Every day, there is a 7/11 just 1min walk away. A LOT of restaurants in a walking area of 5min. This place is NOT recommended for familys with smal...

Queen Boutique is located off the main street of Chaweng beach in Samui, which makes it less noisy at night. If you plan stay longer in Chaweng, it is easy to get to any attractions to see in the area from here. Beach is walking distance as well as numerous restaurants and bars. Staff was not always up to speed. Our room (separate beds for 3) was only prepared on our a...

The Rooms are a great place to stay on Chaweng, the hotel is set back off the main strip through Chaweng so there is less noise from the ever busy street. The reception was well run with very friendly staff. The rooms were clean and modern, all you need really and there was WiFi available. If in Chaweng you should consider the rooms as the rates are low and you g...

Superb hotel for a really cheap price. Less than 10 mins walk to the main Chaweng street - far enough from the noise yet close enough to walk to the main areas. Hotel was small and cozy, and the beach cafe is awesome - you can basically dine just 2 metres from the seawater! The staffs were friendly and helpful with enough basic English proficiency. Would definitely rec...

A group of friends and I stayed at VOP over New Years and were extremely pleased and impressed with their flexibility and willingness to accommodate us. Our other hotel, which we had booked over a month prior to our holiday, double booked our room and left us stranded for 3 days in Koh Samui. Thankfully, VOP Suites sympathized with our situation and invited us to sta...

What a joke!! I had a booking. My brother did not. So they charged me the price that was on Agoda and without breakfast. My brother who was next to me got a cheaper price and breakfast include. I asked her to give me the same deal. She refused because i booked online. Come on , use your common sense sometimes. I cancelled the room and finally paid in cash like...

I've extended my stay... twice. Staying in a deluxe room 3 bungalows back from the beach itself. The room has good AC and is clean, bed is firm but not rock hard like so many in Thailand. Breakfast is basic but does the job, you get coffee and juice plus a choice of 5-6 set meals. The staff here are polite and helpful - this isn't a five star hotel so don't expect...

hotel is situated north of the chaweng hotel. it takes around 10 minutes walking to the chaweng street. but i do love the hotel's design. everyone is living in an individual bungalow, with balcony. you could enjoy the sewview everyday! be aware of the insects inside the room, especially the ants.

Stayed at this hotel as I wanted to be in Chaweng beach before leaving Ko Samui. I did not want the hotel to be right in the middle of Chaweng as the place is very noisy. Akyra Samui fitted the bill like a "T" It is just a kilometer from Chaweng but had access to the beach, and beach side bar, restaurant. The checkin took longer than expected but the staff attended me ...

Everything was perfect in this Villa.(You can stay here with 4 people) Own pool, 2 showers upstairs and downstairs. Room service to order some food to your room. You can hire a motobi...

Airport pick-up and drop was provided, as arranged. The Resort is a 15 minute drive from the airport. It has 30 cottages and we had booked a sea view room, which was fabulous. You could see a wide view of the beach and sea sitting right inside the room. My wife who took a couple of morning walks up and down Chaweng beach insisted that our resort was at the best part of...

1. Location: beachfront and in Chaweng Road (center of nightlife and restaurants) although a bit on the end side (10 mins . walk to central Chaweng). Can stay by the beach or the pool. Waves/ current, however, was always on red flag, but you can still swim just don't go far. 2. Room quality: bit old already, but well maintained and clean. Room are spacious ( a big pl...

This resort was where we started our honeymoon trip. The hotel staff was anticipated our arrival and everything was kept in order for us to check in. No waiting time. Stayed at bhundhari for 2 days after checking out from another hotel. Had a beach front private pool villa which was outstanding. Very well maintained by the staff. Big Buddha is also 5 mins drive from the re...

I really enjoyed my stay at Chalala resort. my bungalow was very nice, clean and had all what i needed. few steps away from the beach and its nice restaurant. pool area was good as well. i did not need any help from the staff but everyone was always smiling and polite. having rented a motorbike, distance from the fun part of chaweng (i'd say 10-15 minutes walk) was no...

Loved my stay at the Pawanthorn in January 2013 and we didn't want to leave. Complimentary shuttle to and from the airport and Chaweng Beach. Chaweng Buri made it my best holiday ever in the last 5 years. The first impression I had was service and hospitality from persons working there. All employees would greet you every time they met you. Another thing is the location of the hotel. As it is located at heart of the most popular Chaweng Beach, it is centre of everywhere. The hotel is 5-min distance to pubs, ...

This charming villa is a lovely design and very spaciuos with all that you will need. Three separate bedrooms all with large En-suite bathrooms makes easy living as a group or family. This is not a 4 star resort as advertised! This is a 1-star hostel. This used to be a large resort that closed down and only a few rooms have opened up. The photos are from 10 years ago. Though our stay was only for a night, it was probably one of the best Villa that I've stayed. Our host was excellent, very responsive to our questions. The villa was clean, spacious, quiet and mind-blowing view. Our host arranged everything for us, the rental of a bike, the airport transfer ... Such a pity we couldn't stay longer.. I had a great time at Yupa villa. Its a little out of the way; a car or scooter is a must. The villa is a little tired but has everything you need with beautiful bedrooms all exiting onto a fabulous pool with waterfall. Although tucked away form the main drag, supermarkets and 7/1 are quite close with restaurants and bars a short walk away.

Love it. The villa was really awesome, had a great time. Beautiful seaview from the room, private pool right below the room. But the down side was that I was told the checked in timing was 2pm.
