Clean rooms, Good Location and Best Staff Ever”
I want to commend this great hostel for it's cleanliness, quietness, good location, and great value for money and most of all the staff. I came here on June 4th with big luggage and funny thing thought my phone got pickpocketed. They (Michael and Lumi) tried to help me check it in CCTV or call my phone. Luckily it was just stuck inside my luggage cover. They also helped me carry my luggage. They maintain the peaceful and relaxing environment by always reminding people not to have calls or showers late nights. And not to slam the doors. Michael is such a wonderful manager. Elle is also lovely. She helps with breakfasts and I had chance to had conversations with her on my last day and even packed a bagel and cream cheese for me. I would definitely recommend and will stay here once again once I get a chance to visit NYC next time.

Great place to stay”
Nice to have your own space and the bed was comfy! Not a place to party, and probably not the best if noise bothers you when trying to sleep as the pods don't have a real roof and sound transmits very easily. I am a deep sleeper so had no issues. Bathrooms and showers were clean and breakfast was a nice bonus! Staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay again.

Chelsea Cabins are so cozy!”
This is a wonderfully clean, and SUPER quiet place to stay! Michael, who runs it, is so friendly, so helpful, and just makes you feel at home. There are enforced quiet hours between 9pm and 9am and it is so great to not hear people yakking on their phones or overhear random videos playing. It's a place you can really rest and wind down. I will definitely return! Thanks again, Michael!

Most friendly staff!”
The general manager was there daily to set up their complimentary breakfast and help anyone check out/in. He is so friendly (along with all other staff) and is easy to talk to, very down to earth. He gives a safe space for solo travelers (especially solo female travelers) by separating floors by gender. Rooms and facilities were clean and maintained.

The owner and staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The cabins are well thought out and impeccably clean. The warm service and high standards makes it not surprising that there is a community of people who come back and make Chelsea their choice whenever they are in town.

I really liked the place and I totally recommend it. Michael, the owner, does everything possible to make you feel safe and comfortable (specially if you are a young woman traveling by herself, like me). The only not so great thing is that, because there's a shared bathroom and shower space, there might be some dirt inconveniences when using the amenities (bathroom, showers and common spaces are cleaned daily) because other people might not be so clean as you (it happened to me, but I have high standards). Finally, just two comments for reference: it is a third floor space with no elevator. The ceiling space of each cabin is open for ventilation, so you can hear mostly everything of what's going on. I am a heavy sleeper, so I don't care about this, but some people might have problems in this regard. All in all, I would totally recommend this place!!

I stayed at the Chelsea cabins only 1 night but it was a great experience, it was very clean and surprisingly comfortable! Breakfast and coffee was included which made the world’s difference! 10/10 would recommend!

Good for a place to sleep/shower”
Overall, I had a very good experience. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Keep in mind the place is a no frills inexpensive option to a hotel. It did the job, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend staying here if you want to spend a lot of time in your room. I would stay there again.

Best for solo travelers sleeping in small spaces”
One must be comfortable with a very small sleeping place and fake walls , which are great for separation and privacy but not for sound. You are provided with a sound machine to muffle out sounds if you are sensitive. But staff is good about reminding people to be considerate. I was fine and slept comfortably. Further, the mattress, pillow, sheets provided were perfectly fine. The showers were clean and worked good. The bathroom with a few stalls was clean also. I will definitely stay here again, for the price, and location, especially a solo traveler.

Clean and safe”
Very clean place. Its a tiny room but you are traveling solo anyway :) even the share bathroom is also always clean. The host, Michael is incredibly nice and kind. He provide simple breakfast for us every morning. It's simple, but more than enough. Don't expect a 5 stars hotel's breakfast in a single cabins place. Highly recommended for anyone especially female who travelling solo to NYC.

Very good Youth Hostel type accommodation, in a great location.”
This type of accommodation wll not be for everyone, but for me it was really great. The shining star that I want to comment about first is Breakfast. It is just superb. It is a meat-free menu but it's a 10 out of 10 from me. Cereals, different breads, meat free toppings, fresh organic fruit, Ground coffee. Provides a great start to the day. Staff are, by and large, helpful and friendly. The rooms are tiny with no wardrobe but the price and location make up for this, for me. The ceiling in your room is a wooden lattice and sounds from the adjacent rooms can be a problem depending on guests staying when you are, so make sure you have good ear plugs if you are easy woken by noise. So, some good some not so good but all in all, Chelsea Cabins a great little find and I will have no hesitation in using the accommodation again when next visiting New York City. A word of warning: I booked with Agoda. They mislead you by saying you can either have a large bed or a windowed room. It's nonsense

Friendly staff and cozy room”
Perfect if you need a place to rest after a long day. Small rooms but comfy bed. Pods have everything you need for a good couple of nights’ stay. But the real highlight is the staff!! Super friendly during check in and breakfast. Couldn’t recommend enough. I’m a solo female traveler and usually feel insecure at places by myself, but this is a great spot.
