      Located near the Village Ski Center, this hotel is 8 miles from downtown Galena and offers views of the Mississippi River, on-site dining options and an indoor pool. Free WiFi and free parking are available. Every room at Chestnut Mountain Resort includes a cable TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom with a hairdryer and free toiletries. Some rooms also offer a seating area and view of the river. This resort has lodging conveniently located near the slopes, a ski/snowboard school and ski & snowboard rental on-site.       Nice location ”

      The bar and dining area with the view was the best part. We didnt really roam too much though because we stayed one night. The room was okay, pretty standard. The food was pretty good too. The front desk upon arrival didnt really inform us about much other than checked us in.

      Great but lacking”

      Everything was dated BUT very clean. The hot tub was out of order. One of the restaurants was not open. There were no fitness facilities. No elevator but that wasn’t a deal breaker. All the bike trails were closed as well. No continental breakfast included. For the cost I would recommend the resort updating their website with the closures or update their facilities.
