near grand palace and wat pho. but the cleaning staff are dead to English. I have to wait for the reception guy to check-in my room. the only way to contact is the number of the hotel, no emergency call shown on the desk.
Cool neighborhood great staff ”
Everybody is very helpful as always in Thailand, very good restaurants around, magnificent What Po across the street, great bars with view on the river and What Arun on the other side, convenient little market near by.
Great place, very conveniently located. Rooms are not huge but well appointed. Will stay again.
Good location ”
Goo Location for The Palace , Temple and Old Town.
Best location in riverside Bangkok ”
Walking distance to Wat Pho, royal palace, China town and flower market, and many more. Have dinner at the deck where you can look at boat passing by and Wat Arun in the background. Will book this hotel again next time.
terrible customer service”
even the front desk staff is away , i’ve stayed for two days, didn’t see anyone there. we customers hve to carry our own luggage to the second floor and carry back down, by staircase, how is the review 8.1?
The location is good if you want to stay near the riverfront. Just across the road, there is Wat Pho. Walk down few blocks, there is a candle light dining place where you can see the night view of Wat Arun which is awesome. Nearby there is a restaurant few blocks away, Nai Nai restaurant if not mistaken, the crab meat fried rice is the best worth the value and with big chunks of crab meat.
Staffs are great, location is good. Worth the price.
The location was amazing for all the sightseeing we wanted to do. It was quite and small but the bathroom and facilities were clean. Nothing luxurious but very nice for what you pay. I would definitely stay again!
very close to major attractions of Bangkok”
Wat Pho is across the street, grand palace and emerald Budha is around the corner, Wat Arun is across the river, pier is at the other corner. money changers are 'every where', food stalls are at every corner. Halal resto is difficult to find, but we can choose fruits, and sea food salad.
Among Wat Pho, Wat Arun and Great Palace”
Awesome location and great low cost choice to avoid Bankok traffic jam. For check in later than 7:00pm you need to proceed to another hotel nearby. Location is great, Among Wat Pho, Wat Arun and Great Palace, and several antiques / souvenir shops. Dont miss the fantastic food from AMA restaurant one block from hotel.
Great location, small room”
The best thing is the location. Just in front of the Reclining Buddha temple. Plenty y of restaurants, bars and a 7Eleven one block from there. Small room and clean. Good things: location and staff. Clean place. Things to improve: mattress TOO hard, room really small and the bathroom flooded after taking a shower. Overall a good place for a couple of nights. We give it a 7.5/10.
Great Stay, Good Service”
I just stayed at Chetuphon Gate few days ago. First of all, I'd like to thank you to the staff who upgraded my booking to a deluxe with free of charge, I really appreciated. This place is suitable to explore the cultural, old town, city tour - no rush just to relax. The room was really clean and the location is very good to access many place like Wat Pho (just opposite Wat Pho), Grand Palace, etc. It's very easy to get taxi or tuk-tuk. Wifi signal was really strong and easy to connect. Also, The staffs were nice, helpful and polite.
Great location for seeing the palace and Wat Pho, as well as close to the dock to see the Wat Arun. It was annoying that we kept having to ask for towels and that they were taken each day, but otherwise it was a good stay.
Best budget hotel ”
Located just in front of wat pho, 10 minutes walk to grand palace and a dinner at the deck i.e Arun Residents is a must ! The view from Arun Residents is amazing! We spend a lovely time at the bar on the roof top too. Will visit to this hotel again .
Close to khason road, palace, bang ok river”
It is in the cut when you get of the fairy you might get lost beachside it is on a side street facing the palace. But it is 5 min walk from fary when you know where you going. They had no rooms so set us up at there sister hotel arum resonance it was great river views, Japanese loft style rooms, and cool roof top bar. There is no night workers so they close the barn like doors in the front and you have a key to get back in at night, no biggie.
Highly recommended Boutique Hotel”
We couldn't be happier with our choice to stay here. On arrival (we were late) the friendly staff welcomed us and showed us directly to our room, which was small, but fitted out with all the modern facilities you need and extremely comfortable. We had made a dinner reservation at their sister property, Arun Residence, with their help via email, and the staff had already notified the restaurant to hold our table. When we arrived at the restaurant, they had given us the best table on the terrace, right beside the water. The food and service at Arun Residence, not to mention the staff, ambience and decor, is outstanding. A must if you stay in this area (for lunch or dinner). The location is fantastic, in the oldest area of Bangkok, walking distance to so many major attractions, the water (for river boats) and the flower market / River Walk. We would definitely stay here again.
Not expensive hotel in the center of Bangkok”
The location is simply wonderful - just 100 meters from the entrance to Wat Pho! Near the river and Royal palace. The room is basic and very small, but neat and comfortable. The room was not very clean but for Thailand acceptable. They have no own breakfast, just in affiliated hotel and not so good and a bit expensive. The girl on the reception is very friendly, she helped us a lot - saved us 2000 baht! We were very happy to stay in this hotel.
Nice, clean and comfortable hotel. Good place to visit Wat Pho, Grand Palace and Arun Wat. Only downside was my standard room did not have a window and the place is very quiet at night with only a few restaurants. The restaurants have a nice view of Arun Wat though.
Thai style with modern sense, riverside, nice view”
It was fab!I would recommend it and wanna go back during my next trip to Bangkok. stayed at the top floor-bunk bed room. in the midnight, i openned the window and sat on it, watching the temples while feeling the holy serenity. Staff are friendly. Beds are comfortable. Worth th money and time.
