Good value for money ”
The property is close to surfers, walking distance to food and beach. Our room was clean and the bed comfy. We found a lot of the furniture and fittings were getting very tired with dining chairs upholstery splitting, lounge pillow coming undone and vertical blinds facing different ways/uneven and so on. Still functional and considering what we paid still OK. There is 3 floors and no lift for those with mobility issues. Pool clean and we'll maintained. Value for money
Staff were absolutely fabulous and helped out with anything you needed to know.
Handy site if need to access rest of Gold Coast area”
For a single person that needed a location handy for Southport but also to the Gold Coast hinterland and up to Brisbane, this was good (this was not a beach/theme park trip and my plans varied from day to day). Freeways north and roads to west easily accessible, supermarkets etc about 3kms away, plus useful row of shops round the corner. Apartment was basic but all the equipment was clean (and the kitchen knife was sharp!) and bed very comfortable. Secure parking good to have.
A Very Comfortable Place to Stay”
My room is clean and tidy. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is also near surfer paradise and public transportation, you just need to cross the bridge first. It has a swimming pool too. Me and My friend have a good time stayed here. Thank you so much Chevron Palms.
Nice place for the price. It has a security gate that was not always closed and at times was chained open so people could come and go from the premises. We did notice that it wasnt always guests of the hotel that used the pool.
Nice Place close to everything. great for the money. Didnt see the staff so cant comment on that
Great location but not much else!”
We were a little shocked when we checked in to our little home for the week. A massive stain of the floor as you enter should’ve tipped us off. It was more outdated than expected and the cleaner hadn’t done a very good job to say the least. There were crumbs and small chunks of bread left in the sink (we suspect from shaking out the toaster), the microwave had food on it, two of the hot plates had greasy black stuff on them and we had to wash every piece of crockery, cutlery, utensil and glassware before we could use it. Even the kitchen drawers had what looked to be tomato sauce spilt on them when you opened them. There was an odd amount of certain items e.g. 3 of each cutlery item, yet there were 4 bowls and dinner plates, only 3 side plates, only 1 wine glass and none of the items were a matching set. The coffee table was sticky and even the couch felt like it could use a clean. I understand you get what you pay for, I’m just glad we were out and about most of the time.
Needs some TLC”
Lovely and comfortable but needs attention. Some lights didn't work. Wine glasses still had previous users' lip prints on them! And parking for high vehicles limited. TV also small and no TV in bedroom. Not biggies but easy fixes. Guy on front desk was awesome, though.
Nice room but Aircon was down for 3 days . ”
Nice room but the Aircon was down for 3 days of the 7 days booking. The stafff agreed to refund for a 1 days Rental but till now still haven’t received the refund yet.
Arrived at the accommodation, with a little more than half a role of toilet paper. No shower gel or shampoo etc. Bed is hard. Place is noisy - neighbours don't seem to sleep! music till late night (after 1am), and starts again 5am! People talking in the balcony, loud. Luckily we checked, but the room balcony doors were not locked. Bathroom window blinds are such bad fitting, someone can easily look into the shower cubicle! Rather traumatic experience, to even take a shower! especially since the unit was on the ground floor. Tap could not be turned off properly .. the dripping went on all night. Pool size was small. No AC in bedroom. Good to only get back to crash. Have to give it to the Receptionist. We arrived as she locked up, but she took the trouble to go back into the office and got me sorted out.
Managers were very friendly and helpful
