Impressive design and service. Great location by the ping river and reflects the term of "sanctuary" claimed by the hotel. (own vehicle required to move around). Breakfast was one of the best we ever had with great selections - local and international, served by a la carte menu style (doubt if it will be too busy and slow in peak season) . Will recommend to anyone (already did actually) . Love it and it is has become our most favorite place in Chiang Mai. will definitely return there.

I stayed 3 nights in Tamarind Suite. Room was spacious and nice. When I was considering about booking this room, red wall over the bed was quite annoying but in reality it was not a bit.(Red in pics is quite bright than really is) All staffs were very kind and ready to help. Swimming pool in roof top was not huge but big enough to relive stress and enjoy sunlight of daytime. Breakfast was very good, you would not disappointed with any menu on the list.(My recommend is French toast and omelet.) Location would be debatable, but good enough for me; you can reach most part of the city(old city, night bazaar, Nimmanhaemin) in 15-20 mins with grab and the resort provides shuttle to old city 3 times a day Overall, I would recommend this hotel to friends when planning Chiang mai trip.

Chedi Chiang Mai was a very positive experience for me. A friend of a friend recommended it and I became very well impressed. To start the staff exceeded my expectations from the moment I've stepped in the hotel. I let them know previously that I would be check in late and when I arrived they not only were waiting for me but also had upgraded my room to a more luxury version. Great present! Then, during my stay they did everything to help even with little things that can be time consuming such as booking transportation to Chiang Rai, cookery courses, etc, and were very keen to give recommendations regarding things to do in Chiang Mai. Additionally, the hotel is very well located, close to the night market and has a beautiful setting overlooking the river. It is very relaxing to have breakfast in their restaurant sitting under this beautiful tree while enjoying a view to the river. The pool is extremely refreshing specially after a very warm day visiting temples. If someday I return to Chiang Mai I would stay again in the Chedi.

This is probably the best neighborhood in Chiang Mai. And I'm Chiang Mai native. This small boutique hotel is located in a way less touristic area of Chiang mai but is still in a short-strolling distance to Chiang Mai main spots like the waroros market, night bazaar, Ta Pae gate and etc. There are lots of cafes, eateries, art galleries, and boutiques nearby. The hotel has small numbers of room so it's quiet and is very relaxing. The hotel room is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. The decoration is pretty cool and unique. Definitely a boutique hotel with its own character. There is also a small swimming pool (long enough to do lap swimming). Hotel bar makes good cocktails at very affordable prices. And there are lots of pubs nearby that you can walk to.

The At Ping Nakorn Riverside hotel, is a nice and relatively small-size hotel. The hotel facility is new,. Noticed that trees & garden have been recently planted (from observation). The old-style decoration makes the hotel looks nice and quite impressive, all flowers placed in lobby and restaurants are so nice. The breakfast is quite good, and staff service is great. The only drawback is the spot for car park is such limit. The entrance to the reception is also not designed to ease luggage transport. (Too many steps to pass on) But ultimately, this is a very nice and lovely hotel. I strongly recommend to all guests to stay at this hotel.

after leaving bangkok to discover thailand's north, rarinjinda was a refreshing resort to escape the big smoke. in a fantastic location by the river, it was an easy walk to the centre of chiang mai but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle of the local markets at night. don't think that this resort is secluded though. there are some great restaurants on the same road as rarinjinda, such as deck one and the good view restaurant. if you also walk a little further down, there are also some beautiful homeware stores, which is where i bought a lot of gifts to take back home. if you stay at rarinjinda, make sure you put some time aside for a day spa treatment. it was very reasonably priced and a memorable part of the trip. with such fantastic service and at such a reasonable price, we would definitely choose to come back and stay at what we believe to be, is the best boutique resort in chiang mai.

The resort is not in town area so you will have to get a transport to go to the Night Bazaar or other places in the old city area. It is located in a small street and its subtle minimalist design is a pleasant surprise in the neighbourhood. Fantastic and helpful staff with good english. Breakfast is ala-carte buffet style and it's fairly good. Rooms are clean and overlook the Ping river. Extremely well-kept grounds. Will I recommend to friends/relatives? Yes. Will I stay there again? Probably - not that I do not like the resort, but there are many resorts/hotels in Chiang Mai that I would like to try out.

First time in chiang Mai, but I travelled the world. I can honestly say , we loved every second of stay. We had a pool room and moved to a seaviews suite as we prolonged our stay as we loved it so much. Let s start with the rooms, big, nice, clean, quiet and the view... Breathtaking. The attention to details in this hotel is amazing, everywhere you look it s pretty, art, flora, the smiles. The personnel , flawless! Really exceptional ladies always smiling and aiming to please. It s a few minutes from the noise and lights of the city, it s an oasis... We came here to celebrate my birthday, and it will always be engraved in my heart. Thank you

We stay in Sibsan for 5 days with kids of 7 and 9 and it's our favorite hotel during our 14 days trip of Chiang Mai. The room and swimming pool are amazingly gorgeous and the staffs are very poliye and friendly. I can feel that the manager put a lot of efforts to the resort from quickly relying my mails to the beautiful flowers in vases in the resort. And special thanks to Ice, the lady showing us the different types of rooms. We can't wait to go back there again.

Its a new hotel, very good located near to the night market. The pool area is simply great and peaceful. The hotel provide us with breakfast (buffet) snaks and coffee the whole day and always water for free. There is 2 min by foot a 7-11just in case one need smth. The staff is fantastic, they are always ready to help and give some tips in case you ask for them :) If we go back to Chiang Mai we will definately go back there! It was great!

The outstanding part of a boutique hotel is service and Chiang Mai Riverside is excellent in service. All staff are very accomodating. The hotel is new. It is tastefully decorated. Things used are all of high quality. The bed and pillow are very comfortable. Everything are kept very clean and in very good condition. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed. High privacy. We enjoyed very much during our stay. It's not around the city centre but I chose it becuase of it's quietness. Even it's a little bit away from the city centre, the staff would arrange transportation to you. It didn't cost too much between city centre to the hotel. We have several vacation time in Chiang Mai. We had stayed at the right side of the Ping River, and also had stayed near Nimman Road, and this time we stayed at the right side of the Ping River. All places do have their own pros and cons. Yet, to me, I will avoid crowded areas and explore new attractions in the fringe around the old city.

We booked 3 nights in this hotel but decided to stay for 7 nights because we really liked it. The location next to the river is beautifull and the staff is really friendly and helpfull. The hotel itself is an 120 year old building and is also really beautifull with very nice rooms. We enjoyed our stay here and when we are in chiang may again we will certainly book this hotel again!!!

At first I was unsure about this hotel, as it is quite a ways away from the old city and center of Chiang Mai, and I was given a room on the street side, which felt quite cramped and had no view. But upon asking to change rooms, the very friendly, helpful staff quickly accommodated my request and moved me into a beautiful riverside room, which was absolutely perfect. Thereafter, they made me feel right at home. The staff and the peaceful. tranquil location are really the pros of this hotel. It's a perfect way to feel as if you're staying in a villa away from the city without breaking the bank. I noticed a lot of couples and families (I was traveling solo), so you have to be up for that crowd. There are some minor inconveniences: getting to and from the city is easy (the staff call a red car to take you back and forth) but can add up at 150 THB per ride. the pool and hotel kitchen are adequate but unspectacular. Still, compared to staying in the old city, this was a wonderful change. The personal hospitality was really a plus-- as a woman traveling alone, I felt right at home. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Chiang Mai.

I am very satisfied with this hotel so if you wish upper and river side(or mountain side)room for incredibly reasonable price,you can choose this hotel.Dont expect too much for food or cleaness so you can enjoy beautiful night view,really magnificent　sunset or sunrise and it will make you happy and be satisfied. I think this hotel could be very good if many customers came and hotel pay attension to satisfication of customers and invest on their facilities and staff sarvices.If you understand above,you can choose this hotel and review this hotel after your stay.thank you.Good luck. Very enjoyable, relaxing, tranquil and peaceful stay - Little bit from the old town so Taxi App Grab is essential - Only negatives and very minor at that - Massive trees block out the sun from the pool area and as such water remains baltic all day - Breakfast could offer a little bit more of a verity like some cereals - Would definitely recommend Granary Resort as a place to stay whilst in Chiang Mai

The Grace House is an awesome place to stay! It was about a 20min walk from the train station and was easy to find. We got in at about 8am and they let us leave our bags until check in, around noon, while we walked around town. Very close to the Night Bazzar and a leisurely 15min walk from the Old City. Upon checking in, the room was clean with a big comfy bed (double room) and clean, private bathroom. The air conditioning worked very well. We made the mistake of staying somewhere else the next night to try something different but came back to the Grace House for our other 2 nights in Chiang Mai. The staff is very friendly and will help you book tours. Breakfast is small but suffice and tastey. Standard 2 eggs & toast with (powdered) coffee and juice the first night but if you stay 2+ nights you can choose from more options. Nice quiet neighborhood. Excellent WiFi in rooms &lobby/cafe

Baan SongJum is a super friendly place, run by two sisters who live on-site and speak perfect English. They are from Chiang Mai, and have travelled extensively, and so understand travellers' needs. They have knowledge about the whole country, and offer recommendations on how to get where you want to go, both in Chiang Mai and to other destinations, especially northern Thailand. The rooms are basic but clean, and the whole property is peaceful and full of plants. The only negative was finding it. Ask for Samsen Villa; Baan SongJum is at the end of a small lane across the road. Highly recommended!

Location very good, near tourist area, easy to find, rather quiet environment. 7-11 nearby. Small place, rather old building, not very orderly nor sparkling clean, but has kinda homy feeling. Downstairs cafe&bar, upstairs the dorms and private room. Shared bathrooms. Spent very comfortable 3 nights in female dorm. Not much space, yet ideal for backpacker and light traveller. Good wifi, ac room during night, convenient sockets near each bed, hot shower, laundry by request (extra charge), excellent bicycle rent for free, motorcycle rent not free. Host was very warm, sincerely attentive to guests' needs and very helpful. Regret being too busy getting around so never had chance to try their menu. Love the creaking wood stairs and floor, the comfy mismatched home slippers, the funny bathroom lock. Thank you JAO, it has been very pleasant stay in Chiang Mai!

This place was perfect for our family of 4 (32, 32, 5, 3 yo) ; we wished to stay at a place where we could connect with locals, experience chiang mai from outside of the tourist zone and have a quiet inviting space. The 1st floor is a restaurant / store. They serve indigenous cuisine from ethnic minorities of thailand/ american style breakfast/ local organic coffee at affordable prices. The store has handicraft and clothing made by and supporting indigenous women. 2nd floor is a resting area, a library, a resting area and a terrace. 3rd and 4th floor are rooms. We had a big family room on the 3rd floor(as pictured in agoda) with a queen bed and a pull out bed (twin), that rolls under the queen. There wad a separate shower room/toilet, with separate access and a sink and mirror between the 2 doors. There was a private balcony with view on the river and a clothes rack ( we did laundry at a local laudromat (there are several in the small streets and alleys around the block) where there were machines that cost 10thb for up to 2kg and 20thb for up to 5 kg and then dri3d ourself on the balcony. Yes! The 5th floor is a roof terrace with a great view on the river. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgable about local foods, directions, etc. And fun to talk to. We stayed 4 days, the room was cleaned daily, towels changed and water refilled (4 bottles in the fridge). Excellent choice if you are independent, curious and want to be close to the circus of touristic centers but not a part of it. Oh! A good mix of cheap local food and hipster/cool food&drink options nearby. A indy bagel/cake place (khagee) ; a super retro/geeky café tastefully decorated with toys, figurines and memorabilia from japanes tv shows and video games (where you can actually play old nintendo, famicon, ps1, atari games while you wait for you drink (the toys club) ; a supermarket with imported organic goods, etc.etc. Hope this is helpful!!

the train into chiang mai was four (4) hours late (brake problems), so about 1am the tuktuk driver helps me by waking the night manager and they are happy to help me with my bags up to my room, leaving paperwork to daylight hours. mr sawat has travelled a lot and is good to speak with (great english as well as french and dutch). (manager and cook) also speak english, french and dutch. staff are all very cheery and fun to be around. i wiil get back to visit them the next time i need a bed in chiang mai.
