Almost felt like home”
Chic Capsule was beyond my expectation. This is not the 1st time i stayed in a hostel in SG, and i dare to say Chic Capsule is among top 3 hostel i ever stayed. I was checked in very late, around 1am. But the staff, Desmond, was really nice even giving me a welcoming drink. An almond syrup, which i regret not asking for more 😄. As i try to absorb the new place, Desmond took his time to settle my bed and tv(?). The female dorm is in level 2, he's very considerate to take my bag too. Spoiled guest, i am. The capsule is nice and clean. Thou the pillow is too thin, i believe it used to be fluffy. Ha! Never use a smart-tv but its quite nice to have my own tv with beat headset. Fancy i'll say. Wifi is really strong at the room. The bathroom is one of chic capsule not-so-fancy features. There is only one dedicated toilet & shower for ladies. I hate the doors, because its to small. But its quite fine with other bathrooms that we can use with mixed dorms guests. I think the bathrooms not equal with total beds so its better to use it very early or very late - to avoid long queue. And its a combi of toilet & shower, so its wet almost all the time. They provide breakfast starting 8am to 11am. It consist of coffee, tea, milk, cereal, fruits and sandwich. They serve you on the coffee table in the reception area. Its quite awkward for me as i'm not expect to be serve in a hostel. But they very persistent with this serving, they don't allow me to prepare by myself. Ish. The location is really near to Chinatown MRT, only 3mins walking distance. Lots of chinese eatery around. I suggest you to drink coffee there instead going to the cafe. All in all, am quite impressed with Chic Capsule. The hospitality is beyond my other hostel experience in SG. So as Desmond said to when i was checking out - i'll stay here again next year.

A inspirational hideout amidst a lively metropolis”
It was my fifth visit to Singapore. Despite having accommodation at a friend' s place I wished to spend one day at the Chic capsule hotel which has already been well rated on travel sites. The friendly staff greeted me in and looked into my needs throughout my stay making sure I made it comfortable and felt home. The amenities available within the sleeping capsule including the smart tv and beats headset, reading light, universal power port were well beyond one's expectations of a backpacker's hostel. The cleanliness of the interior, the washrooms, lockers took me by surprise. The common areas were equipped with hair driers, liquid soap, ironing facilities, free access to high speed Wifi etc. The front lobby was so welcoming and comfortable tranquilizing you with it's soft symphonic music. The breakfast was also served in a presentable manner along with coffee and fruits. The most interesting thing about the hostel was the complementary free city tour of two hours which took place in the following morning where the experienced guide revealed the unknown yet breathtaking facts about old Singapore and Chinatown. It was a great opportunity to get to talk to myriad of visitors from a range of countries. The hostel reception also offered tickets to a variety of tourist attractions in Singapore for reasonable rates. So having said all this I would never be reluctant to recommend this extremely nice and worthwhile place for anyone of you out there who wish to have a pleasant stay in Singapore.

i am a business /solo traveler moving all hotels/hostels from unrated upto 5 , i found really chic capsule hotel is wonderful ,i had a tour inside the hotel before checking in , all the rooms/beds are super clean , well air conditions ,bed sheets/toiles are very well smelled , all the hotel are well organized not like other hostels that you find others staffs/luagges every where inside the room or outside , however chic hotel is really had good space for every thing . there is special lockers for shoes , so the place is always clean /calm . cleaning is supervised many times a day , the staff specially mr.tan is super tentative he assist every guest lifting his luggages from hotel door till the bed , all staff doing same for every guest day/night , you can ask assistance any time they responce immediately . lobby cozy perfumed smell ,good music you feel really at home . breakfast is basic just sandwichs ( sardin or jam or cheese ) with cornflacks with coffee or tea . the bathroom is very clean and modern . there is sperate shaving/ironing facility room , each bed has his own 40' tv with andriod system and wireless mouse you can feel free to watch your country tv channel by tvcloud or choice any movie free or even pay whatever you like . i had been to ADLER hostel , but i found the staff not such cooperative mood as described in others preious guest comments , also the lobby not maintained clean and room is also much less than chic hotel . next time in singapore will definelty will come back to chic capsule

Friendly Staffs, Near MRT, with 300+ food stalls”
ROOM: the room is nice.. i'm 184cm tall, and i can still sit upright on my bed.. if i lay on my bed, there's still around 20cm spaces left.. enough for you to put your bag, toileteries, etc.. for a person weighted around 230 pounds, the upper capsule is fine.. you don't have to worry about your weight.. the ladder to climb into the upper capsule is steady.. and surprisingly, others who occupy other capsules in my room are so considerate with the noise, with the exception of snore.. Bathroom: Well, coming from an Asia country, i don't find any problems with the wet toilet since it's common for us.. and for those who have problem with it, just adapt with the situation.. if you like something nice like in your home bathroom, just stay in your house.. learn to multitask, use the toilet when you do-the-unmentionable-things while you're washing your body.. there's a hairdryer, a electrical socket if you need to use it for your shaver.. service: this is the best part of this hotel.. Desmond was very helpful.. He gave me lot of recommendations for me to get my prefered meals, and where to buy cheap snacks.. their sandwiches (1st day tuna sandwich & kaya sandwich, 2nd day ham+tomatoes sandwich & kaya sandwich) + cereals + fruits + coffee are more than enough to last until lunch.. HOW TO GET HERE: in Chinatown MRT: take exit A, and when you're out from the station, go to main street behind you, turn right, walk straight, and you will see the "mosque street" sign, turn right.. walk straight until you can see the logo of Jang Myon Korean Restaurant, the hotel is located on the right side of the road, diagonally across the korean restaurant. the chinese food around here, you can find on chinatown complex, 2nd floor.. there are around 200 stalls there.. pick what you want.. or you can find it on maxwell food centre. this is the location of the famous Tian Tian Hainan Chicken Rice.. sure i will back here again when i visit Singapore alone!

Comfortable stay at a capsule hotel ”
This was my first time staying at a capsule hotel and I must say that I'm glad I chose Chic Otel Capsule. This hotel received great reviews on Agora and after personally staying here, I have to agree. Staff was very friendly from the moment I entered the hotel. They asked me how I would spend my days in Singapore and voluntarily offered me much information to ensure my visit would be enjoyable. They gave directions or tips to get promotions from Sentosa resort that I was about to visit. They even had discounted discounte. tickets to most of Singapore tourist attractions that were actually cheaper than the ones sold on each corresponding location. Staying at capsule hotel means all I get is a single bed, and I was happy that it is very comfortable. The bed size fits nicely to my 176 cm body. Despite laying on a single bed, I still could find space to roll around and stretch my legs and arms. Each bed is equipped with a reading lamp, an Internet television and a headphone so I could enjoy the TV without disturbing my neighbors. There is also a curtain on each bed to give you that much desired privacy. Each visitor is given a keyboard that works with doors and a locker to store away luggage. There are blanket and towel that can be changed everyday. I also got complimentary breakfast of tea, sandwich and fruits with such quality that I never got when I stayed on another hostel or backpackers Inn. However, they only have three shower room and not much seat on the ground floor to enjoy breakfast. I understand this is due to space constraints so I had to queue with other guests to take shower or eat breakfast. If you plan your time to enjoy these facilities on the hours that is less crowded, I'm sure you could do these without much waiting time.

Amazing first time capsule hotel experience”
The first time i'm arrived, so excited realizing that the location is only 200 m from the MRT exit, it's make me more mobile since mrt is my first choice of transport. Once inside, the minimalist decoration is excellent and clean, rhe staff is super friendly and check in is easy. The room is consist of several capsule, each facilitated with lamp, cozy bed, large screen TV connected to internet(for real! The TV is connected with fast internet that you can stream youtube quickly), personal earphone(this is important, so nobody can hear your TV) and curtain to close your capsule. Believe me, if you thing your privacy will be invaded since so many people in one room than you're mistaken. Privacy is one of my piority and the capsule is so quite and i can focus on my personal things without worrying my roommates will walk pass by or hearing my private conversation(happend a lot in hostel). Conclusion, with affordable prices but amazing comfortable facility and friendly staff, don't forget the nice location, the chic capsule otel is definitely worth it!

Suitable for Solo Female Backpacker”
As a first time solo female backpacker to Singapore, staying at Chic Capsule is a good experience. I was welcomed with a small shot of ice lemon tea after a really long day. I reached the hostel at 10pm! The place is near a street full of local food. Just the next street and pretty near to Telok Ayer where the pubs are. Friendly staff to guide you, nice breakfast prepared and friendly service by the hostel staffs (cereal with milk, sandwich butter kaya/ham, hot tea/coffee, fresh fruits oranges/watermelon). The room security is fine as female dorm is separately locked and can only be opened using a special wristband. Using the same wristband, you can open the locker provided for each capsule. The locker is sufficient for a 40-50L backpack or a cabin bag. Other backpackers would leave their big luggage beside the bed. Toilets will always be wet because its attached to the shower. If you are fine with that, there's no major problem. Shower pressure is nice. Free shuttle to airport.

Wonderful”
Our stay was very comfortable. The hostel was clean and the dorms were spacious. The capsules were large, comfortable and the privacy blind was a welcome perk. Not many hostels provide towels so a bonus for Chic. For the standard of hostel the blanket provided was a bit disappointing and felt incomplete. I think an upgrade to full hotel standard duvets would take Chic to an even higher level in boutique hostels. Another disappointment was the lack of a lounge or kitchen. The communal element of the hostel experience was missing. All you could do was get into your capsule, no area to spend time in outside the capsules especially when traveling in a group. The toilet set up was also unfortunate. There are not enough toilets especially when people are showering as the toilets were in the showers. Other than that it's a wonderful hostel. Their best quality of the hotel is their staff. They were attentive and really helpful at all times of day and night. The closeness to the MRT line was also a bonus. A 2 min walk and you were there.

Awesome place to stay ”
I had a pleasant stay at chic capsule. My capsule was very neat and clean. Very convenient location, less than 300m to Chinatown MRT station. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Ideal place for a solo travelers with a budget. I was able to get attraction tickets for lesser price from the hostal. No cons to state. Thank you Chic Capsule staff for making my stay a pleasant one 🙂

I love it! Everything great on Chic”
I've been visiting capsules in Japan, and I have to say this is something different. The capsules in here are extremely comfortable, clean and luxury. The toilets and showers are really good, like in great hotels. Apart from that, Internet is speedy and, most important, the staff is extremely nice and help you a lot. Funny people that when they're cooking they let you try their stuff. And you had a long night and woke up at 11? No problem, they serve you breakfast. Considering the crazy prices in Singapore for hotels, I'll go back to Chic. Fits perfectly for me.

Perfect for travellers on a budget”
Being on a budget and knowing that my time would be spent mostly outside the hotel, Chic Capsule Otel fit my needs perfectly. Checking in was hassle free and I had a welcome drink before being shown to my room/bed. The reception staff, Desmond, was very friendly and showed the facilities to me. Another staff, John, was in charge of housekeeping and also breakfast in the morning and was also a friendly guy. While it's called a capsule hotel, it's more like a dormitary style hotel. Each room consists of a number of bunk beds, and each bed is self contained with its own light, locker, TV and headphone set. There's also a blind which can be pulled down for privacy. So you get a private bed space in a dorm room. Rooms are airconditioned, and wifi is good everywhere in the hotel.

Go for the hospitality”
Chic might be my best finding hostel in 2015 and everytime i went to SG on my own - no doubt this place comes first. The place strategically located in Chinatown, easy peasy to go anywhere by walking, mrt, bus even taxi. The place always clean and no funny smell. I reckon there are plenty capsule hostel around here but the deal-maker is the Chic hospitality led by Desmond. He greet you warmly and let the guest to take a seat; then he will do the rest - from check in to suggest what to do in SG (if you're on holiday tho).

Exceptional”
My first time in a backpackers hotel is at an "inn" near Farrer Park MRT and it was horrible and put me off this kind of establishment. But booking Chic Capsule Otel was a great decision. I was able to book in a discounted price and it was really worth it. The bunk beds give privacy with the curtains; size of the beds are a bit large for a SE Asian girl like me, maybe a bit small for Westerners; bed was a bit dented in the middle but still comfortable. It was not that cold in my bunk (upper) if the curtains are closed; anyway I have a small portable fan with me. There's only 1 socket but I have an extension cord with several plugs. The use of the smart TV and its remote is tricky though. Only with much fidgeting with the remote did I understand how to use it. Maybe the staff can teach the customers when they check-in. There's 2 shower/toilet on the 2nd floor. Don't know if you can use the toilets on other floors. Simple breakfast are sandwich, cereals, fruits, coffee, tea and milk.

Great choice for budget-conscious travellers”
It's my first trip to Singapore, and I was on a shoe-string budget. While it may be pricier than other hostels, I like the fact that I got some privacy here. I chose Female Only capsule (lower deck). There were only 3 other female guests in my dorm, unlike most hostels that have more than 8 beds per dorm. Each capsule has an Android TV where you can surf the Internet with their free WiFi. However, the mouse that's connected to my TV was problematic at times. Perhaps they should replace it. Unfortunately, the pillow at my capsule was flat and not fluffy. Their breakfast selection was limited to sandwiches, cereals, fruits, and coffee/tea. Location wise, it's less than 10 minutes walk from Chinatown MRT Station. There are plenty of restaurants at the surrounding area too. Just like what most of the previous guests have mentioned - the staff at Chic Capsule Otel are very friendly and accommodating! :)

Chic Capsule Otel A must stay place in Sg”
My stay here in at the Chic Capsule Otel was just one of worth reviewing hotels in agoda . As this is just a capsule hotel where you can just sleep and refresh the following the day.. The staffs here are very friendly and they are attentive to your needs. They can even assist you in looking for airport transfers even if your flight is at the wee hours in the morning..

Great stay in Chinatown!”
This is my second time staying at Chic Capsule Otel. Both times were for a minimum of 7 days. I always enjoy staying there because of the value I get for my money, location, clean facilities and friendly staff. The location in Chinatown is a big plus because it is near several subway stations as well as thrifty eateries if you are on a budget. I would recommend this establishment for solo as well as group travelers as well.

Pleasant stay in central Singapore”
I stayed four nights as a single female and was happy and safe. The bathrooms are mixed though (so don't be surprised to run into a guy before having your makeup on), but the showers have cabins that will grant all necessary decency. The hostel has been established only a year ago and you see how all is top modern and stylish. Big plus! FACILITIES Every bunk bed is like a pod capsule and has a blind (Rollo), giving you more privacy over the usual bunk beds in hostels. The TV screen in every capsule has international shows, even German ones, YouTube and all sorts of entertainment equipped with decent headset, but I was busy going out so I did not use this. The capsules have an electronic locker (keycard) underneath the beds with plenty of space. There is a plug and light in every capsulecso you charge and use your devices overnight AC in lounge and bedroom is fine (I read otherwise here) and a relieve after the humid heat outdoors. SERVICE Upon arrival Desmond introduced me in detail to all facilities, even with a welcome drink. The staff has been most obliging and as this was my first stop in southeast asia I was most impressed. Desmond pointed me to a free walking tour which he used to guide himself also, fantastic free tour (Saturdays 9am and 4pm) in an otherwise rather expensive city! LOCATION The location is excellent, cheap Chinese eateries in the Chinatown complex ground level, normal restaurants and bars all around the place. Lots of bars for nightlife in walking distance. Did also most sightseeing by foot, but when you feel too hot, just jump into the subway which is 3 min from the hostel. Need some cute? There is a cat café just next door. Desmond and team, wish you many more guests as happy as me :)

Excellent location and just the right price”
Chic capsule is just 3 minutes walk from Chinatown MRT, and surrounded by top hawker centers such as maxwell, chinatown complex food centre! The place is clean, and the host (Desmond) is really helpful. Also female friendly as there're female only rooms and bathroom. Overall, recommended for solo travelers as long as you don't bring many luggages!

Excellent Hostel, clean, tidy in a great location ”
I had a great stay. Welcome drink on arrival and was promtly shown around the hostel and was made very welcome. I thought the pod style of the beds were a great idea. With a blind you can pull down you can have full privacy whilst in your pod. Each pod has flat screen TV(with headphones) with a host of apps including YouTube. The quality of the WIFI for watching the TV wasn't the greatest but as I was so tired after my days exploring Singapore I was more than happy just to get some sleep. The beds are firm but comfortable. With a light in your pod and also a reading light it made the whole experience fun and rather cosy. Within the dorm you get your own large sized locker which was just perfect in size for a large backpack such as my own. Access to your locker and the dorm is by swipe card pass that you get given when checking in. I thought the idea of the dorm remaining dark but with enough mood lighting so you can walk around easily was great. In fact this is the first hostel I've stayed in that I've experienced this and it added to the whole calm relaxing atmosphere within the dorm itself. I'm just pleased I was armed with a torch as it came in handy for unpacking/packing. The communal areas and showers are all kept very clean. The shower room was a very modern looking, I was very impressed considering this is after all a hostel. Breakfast was simple, cereals and fruits, coffee/tea etc but they do provide you with a made up sandwich for you to take out for your lunch, a nice touch I thought. For SE Asia this has to be the best hostel I've stayed in and baring in mind Singapore prices I thought it was excellent value. This together with friendly staff and fantastic location to Chinatown I will stay here again and again when in Singapore. Thanks for a great stay!
