Great Choice for McCormick Place Business”
If you are looking for a more reasonable "convention" hotel then the Chicago South Loop is the answer. Great rates, great staff and very nice rooms all combine to make this hotel a perfect choice.
Nice hotel, nice location”
This is a nice hotel for the price. Hotels are incredibly expensive in Chicago, but this one was nice, and clean, and had plenty of secured parking (though I didn't drive). The staff was incredibly responsive. I like a hotel that allows me to relax- not dirty, no odd smells, comfortable bed- and I was able to do that after long days at the Chicago South Loop Hotel.
Exceptional”
It was very cheap for a Chicago hotel inside the city. Good walking distance to Chinatown and McCormick Center (20min). The staff was friendly and had no issues getting checked in and checked out. The room itself isn't the highest of qualities, but it's really good for the price. The only issue was that the dispenser labeled "shampoo" dispensed body wash while the dispenser that said "conditioner" dispensed shampoo.
Hits the spot if staying in the hotel is not your priority”
Decent location although venturing deeper into 'south side' (need to be careful after crossing 18th street going south in Chicago). Hotel hits the spot for price point vs location vs free parking & WiFi, other than that the amenities are bare minimum with no pool, no restaurant/bar/room service, dated interiors for building & room, average room & hotel service. Essentially its a step higher than a motel and 12 blocks away from the closest city action (bars/restaurants/visitors point of interests, etc.) but close to highways & virtually no traffic in this area.
Thank you for reviewing our property after your recent stay at our hotel. Its unfortunate that you think that after 18th street is dangerous, the South Loop/Bronzeville area is a very up and coming neighborhood with rich culture and a wide range of attractions and eateries. In fact Ricobene's & Carbon are only 3 blocks west of us along with other eateries that are within a 6 block radius of our hotel. While our hotel was established 10 years ago we have since updated everything from the carpets, to the linen, pillow-top mattresses and even the vanities. The next time you stay at our hotel please ask any of our friendly and knowledgeable Front Desk Agents for more information about local attractions so that you gain a better understanding of your surroundings. Not much in immediate area, but plenty of delivery services (including alcohol!) and extremely easy ”
Front desk service was great! Rooms were very roomy and bathtub was surprisingly deep! I would definitely stay here again when in Chicago!
We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and took full advantage of our deep soaking tubs. The next time you stay at our hotel be sure to bring a few bath bombs to enrich your bath time! Don't forget to share your experience with your family and friends! Have an awesome weekend! Camille R. Guest Experience Manager
AWESOME Experience ”
Kelly (Reception) was so helpful and so was any staff I encountered!!! 1st: Kelly gave great food recommendation, she was so friendly!!! 2nd: I was new to Chicago and was there for a concert at Soldier Field and the hotel provided a SHUTTLE (small fee but the convenience was very appreciated) I didn't have to navigate the CTA. 3rd: room was clean 4th: deposit was return the day after check out - did not have to wait!!!
Thank you so much for this glowing review of our amazing associate Kelly and our hotel. We can't wait to give you the same awesome service during your next stay! Don’t forget to write a brief review of our hotel at the end of your stay. Have a great day! Camille R. Guest Experience Manager
Exceeded expectations!”
Had to change our booking last minute because the hotel we'd originally booked had gotten some worrying reviews. This hotel was the closest to our price range and I'm so glad we booked it. The room was clean and spacious, the staff was super helpful, and the location itself is only 10-15 minutes from the city center. Highly reccomend!
The Little Hotel That Could. ”
Clean hotel. Close to Chinatown. 15 minutes away from everything you need. Cheapest rate in Chicago for a nicer very clean room. Free parking which we found to be ample. Staff was okay. Disappointing points: $100 HOLD out on that could take 14 days to clear up, no breakfast or food available so we had to go out our entire stay, no pool, no lounge, we had a third floor view of the staff parking lot?
Good”
This place is good as a place for sleeping . There is no much fun in the hotel itself( no pool, no open puffet). But anyway we wanted to get a nice room to sleep at during our stay in chicago and the room was nice. Also, the parking us free so you don’t have to worry about parking you car off street or with an extra charge.
Thank you for rating and reviewing our property after your recent stay. I am glad that you found our complimentary parking one of the selling points of our hotel. We hope to have you again as our guest the next time your travels bring you to Chicago. Enjoy your day! Camille R. Guest Experience Manager
Convenient with free parking”
Travelled for a wedding that was happening in West Loop. This was convenient enough. Liked the free parking versus the $50+ per night at other places. The elevators were a bit wonky/noisy and the room had some constant mechanical (air handling) noise in the bathroom, but I would do it again.
Thank you for this lovely review, we can't wait to have you as our honored guest the next time you visit Chicago. Don’t forget to share your experience with your family and friends! Have an awesome day! Camille R. Guest Experience Manager
Best Hotel Downtown for the Money”
I honestly don’t have any complaints about this location. I am very picky about where I stay and I fully recommend this location. The staff had great customer service and were very accommodating. Additionally, the room and hotel were very clean. Comfortable bed and very nice bathroom. The free parking was what made me choose this hotel and I will be staying here for all my trips from now on.
WOW! Thank you so much for this awesome review of our property. We want our guest to have an amazing experience when they choose our hotel. We hope to see you again on your next trip to Chicago and don't forget to tell your family and friends! Enjoy the rest of your day! Camille R. Guest Experience Manager
Great south side hotel”
South side walking distance to McCormick. Clean. Great staff. Parking lot is free.
Great hotel for events at Soldier Field ”
Came to town to see The Rolling Stones concert. Read online reviews and was concerned about area safety. Our group made severylate night walks to Reggie’s bar and to Buddy Guys with no problems at all. Cabs and Uber wee also available and inexpensive. Would definitely stay again.

Great!”
The hotel was easy to find in a great location. We went there for the Stones Concert in Soldier Field. I was worried about transportation etc. since we are from a small town. Everything worked out great. A big plus was the large parking lot for our vehicle. The staff was very helpful recommending restaurants and providing directions. Check in was very fast.the room was large and clean. We walked 3 blocks to Chinatown which was very interesting. Their was a shuttle to and from the concert which made us feel at ease. The breakfast in the morning was made to order and very good. Would stay here again for any event in the area. Just wish their lounge would have been open.
Ideal for McCormack Place”
Booked this hotel due to its location to McCormack Place. Only an easy 10min walk away. Trips into the city were also simply due to a Green Line station about the same distance, allowing easy access into the city in a couple of stops. The hotel room was very spacious, there is a gym on the ground floor (not used) and a small cafe serving breakfast and I think lunch (although not open every day I stayed). If you want to eat out it’s a bit of a journey but Chinatown is a short ride away. Overall the hotel offered what I wanted and I wasn’t let down.
Not great, but decent value for the money”
This hotel is a good option if you are looking for a low cost place to stay near the convention center. The best part of the rooms is that they have a lounge area. The staff are very nice and helpful, though there is often a line to speak with them. Somewhere the line of communication is broken, because our fairly simple requests took some reminding before they were done. The room needed a repair that needed some reminding to get done and one day, our room went without being cleaned. We called twice to ask for 2 extra towels and were given only one extra towel. The beds are very uncomfortable and I would avoid the cafe downstairs - my friend got sick twice after eating there, and typically has a strong stomach.
Nice Hotel”
The room was clean and had large soaking type tub. The bed was noted as a king however it seemed small for a king. The location was good except that there was some kind of event going on and it took about 25 minutes just to get off the exit ramp due to a lane blockage. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Good but not that close to the McCormick place ”
NEVER USE AGODA, they do not provide the best pricing.... and don’t hold the “best price guarantee” The hotel was fine
Good Value”
Pretty large and comfy room for the price. Didn't drive but they have FREE parking. No hidden fees or anything. Definitely worth staying here, save some money and walk or uber to downtown.
Very Good Experience.”
Location is good near Chinatown and close to RED and Green Line subway. Hotel has a free parking, exlelent room size with fridge, coffe maker, Iron and Hear Fan. Staff is helpfull. Will stay again.
