Chili Cafe Guest House

Overall the hotel was in a good location whereby the beach is right in front of the hotel, food were easy to find because it is all located along the beach side, lots of souvenir shops around too. Unfortunately the hotel was not a good place to stay because they had bed bugs which we only realized the last day when we checked out. The whole family suffered scratching from the first day we checked in but we could not clue out the reason until we witness it on the bed the last day. This is not a good experience at all. In fact the hotel lobby has mattress so called to relax yourself but it was filled with filth, flies and it was so awful to have a mattress laid on the lobby. Addition to it we have booked the hotel based on the availability of wifi but everyday was like a war zone for us to get the wifi password from the owner because they keep changing it twice a day which I find it ridiculous. In fact the last day breakfast was not served on the table as they made us wait for 2 hours before they could serve but out of my surprise there was no crowd in the breakfast area, as we were the only people there. Chilli cafe guest has potential to grow because of their location and it is indeed a great place to stay but if this is the way it is going to be then they will losing out opportunities to their competitors.

All in all it was what we paid for. Plus friendly staff and great beach.

It was an OK stay with a clean room but rest of the hotel is semi built. The rooms are certainly over priced considering there is no hot water and not even a blanket to use when the AC is on. Friendly staff but a lot has to be done to bring it up to the mark. You get the sense they do not trust guests as AC remote and soap are only brought to room on your arrival. We did not eat there but food looked OK

This hotel is not exactly located on the beach. So, there is no sea-view as such. But, you come out of hotel, cross the road and you enter the beach. Though the location is not on beach, its like 10 meters away from it. Everything else about the hotel is, considering the price segment. It has very good bed and bathroom, and a corridor with chairs to relax in case you feel like. The staff is friendly. You have a lot (really lot) of restaurants on the beach and this being just next to it, the food availability is no concern. However, the beach has lots of stones (not just small, big sized too) which can ruin your fun beach time post noon as the tides start increasing. The water is decently clean and the crowd is jolly. No security concerns too in the location. Overall a good experience, only the stones made it a bit sour.

Room had a funky smell, bathroom had no water, their beachfront cafe was actually further up road... Wifi wasn't going. Went elsewhere.

Nest the beach, fine rooms and nichest and cleanest bathroom in the country, good breakfast

The hotel was nice. Friendly people, good location. Clean. Two things I do not like: - 2 times cockroaches were visiting us. Not surprisingly in Sri-Lanka, but it would be nice to put some kind of net to the windows in WC. People in the hotel took care of them, but it was unpleasant - We made an arrangement with a tuk-tuk driver, who used to park close and was very friendly with people who work in hotel. He didnt come. Guys at the hotel were calling him, but he didnt pick up. The worst part that we have paid him already. It is not directly related to the hotel, but overall impression was spoiled.

The place was in quiet area away from the main road, we had room on a ground floor which was curious, it wasn't very big but it was clean and comfortable, also the bathroom with hot water. The place have nice beach bar with sunbeds and parasols 100m from the guest house. Owners and tha staff were very nice and friendly. There are several nice seafood restaurants.

It was especially unconfortable because of: dirty and small room, dirty bathroom, lack of fresh towels and sheets, and the staff was not really professional in managing boocking reservation.

Big room, comfortable shower, lovely balcony, nice employee.

If you stay in Unawatuna be sure to stay away from the main road with dangerous traffic. The side road to Chili goes paralell to the beach and is a safe place to stay. A nice beach with sunbeds and cafe service is just 20 meters from the guest house.

The place was very difficult to find despite our familiarity with the area, especially because there are no sign posts. Cleanliness standard of room was on or below par of most budget accommodation. Bathrooms looked clean but hand shower plumbing was broken and didn't smell right. Luckily I managed to find some last minute rooms next door.

Great stay for 3 nights in a great spot along Unawatuna beach

Good location, close to (but not directly facing beach). Owners friendly but not worth what was paid. No hot water in our room. Room was small (smaller than bathroom) and was not as clean as I would expect. At best, this is a per night room, at a push.

This place is just back from the beach in a great spot. The staff are all very friendly. The wireless is at the beachside bar only. It is great to have access to the bar and banana lounges on the beach as they look after those that are staying int he guest house. Fun people and a good place if you feel like a few drinks whilst in Unawatuna.

4 Rooms upstairs with balconys, 1 room downstairs which is a bit close to the road. As with many local places, take your key if you are coming in late!

Clean and simple rooms.Great to have some fun days in Una.

酒店是一对夫妇经营的，环境比较一般，其实整个unawatuna不适合家庭出游，适合驴友或者对旅游条件并不是太在意的游客。酒店有餐饮，看着环境没敢去吃。

Гест хаус находиться через дорогу от моря, если пройти по берегу будет кафе принадлежащее гест хаусу, где можно пользоваться лежаками бесплатно. Вокруг много магазинов и кафе. Персонал любезный, без проблем поселят раньше или продлят пребывание, порежут фрукты и т.д. Завтрак хороший (фрукты, яйца, тосты, масло, джем,чай кофе). Хозяин гест хауса очень любезный и радушный человек. Все комнаты на втором этаже объединяет большой балкон, где приятно посидеть вечером. Ставят спираль от комаров.
