The staff is rude. Showers don't have sepparattion on the floor, so you step on other people's dirty (and peed?) water. Other than that it's livable, and for the first booking it's good value. Extension is more expensive so it's better to go to a different hostel then.

The worst hostel I've ever stayed in and the dirtiest place in Australia. The room smelled the cigarettes and when we opened the window it was impossible to get the fresh air because of the cigarettes outside. We had impression that the sheets weren't washed for long time as they were stinky and quiet old. There was the smell of urine in the toilet and the shower was really disgusting. The walls were very thin and we heard every noise from the hallway and the stairs at the entrance. The only good thing was the location but for few dollars more you can have a better standard because on the same street there are at least 10 other backpackers hostels. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOSTEL.

1. They said free breakfast in the Agoda and i booked, but they are not given any breakfast nor arranged any alternative. I paid extra and select with breakfast booking. 2. Ground floor rooms are horrendous (no light, no air and stinks). i request for any other room and they give the top floor room, that's much better but things are dumped everywhere on the floor. 3. toilets are so tiny and no toiletries. 4. Reception staff (male, maybe Indian), so rude and not at all welcoming and rough. use rough to talk. 5. I strongly suggest many better options around, unless these places are improved in all aspects. 6. I request the management to inspect the rooms and keep tidy and liveable to have good comments.

ACHTUNG ABZOCKE. attention rip-off”
Habe zuerst für eine Nacht gebucht um zu sehen ob es passt. TROTZDEM DAS es NICHT SAUBER WAR habe ich für 6 weitere Nächte bei Agoda gebucht und musste 15% zusätzlich im Hostel DAZU BEZAHLEN, weil ich schon im Hostel gewohnt habe !!! Laut Auskunft vom Hostel sollte ich an der Rezeption buchen zum höheren Preis. Hatte keine andere möglichkeit. Ich habe 73 Länder bereist aber so eine dreiste Abzocke noch nicht erlebt. Außerdem UNFREUNDLICHES UND ARROGANTES PERSONAL die sogar wenn jemand den Schlüssel vergessen hat im Zimmer fürs aufsperren geld verlangen. ++++++++ First booked for one night to see if it fits. Despite the fact that it was NOT CLEAN I booked for 6 more nights at Agoda and had to pay 15% extra in the hostel DAZU, because I've stayed in the hostel !!! According to information from the hostel I should book at the reception for a higher price. Had no other option. I have traveled to 73 countries but have not experienced such a raunchy rip-off.

Probably you will take an infection staying there. They made my check-in and the room was not done. Dirty old room and facilities. No cutlery at all. Dirty kitchen. Dirty toilets disgusting. Just go if you are gonna pay 12 dollars per night and you Do not have any other option.

I was sent to a horrible and tiny room which was share by 4, It smells like a toilets room, the blanket and pillow is not replaced and looks messy, I call the night manager to change room and he rejected. Due to fully booked. The kitchen is messy too. It doesn’t offer kitchen facilities such as bowls and folks... you must prepare to pay more for stay here anyway!

It is a good place in Sydney: cheap and good location. The kitchen in the evening is very dirty because the guys in the hostel they don't have any education about it. There is right that will be a fine of 50$ if you don't clean but at that time in the hostel there is any worker so no control. But all the rest is good and very nice atmosphere and the staff was very nice.

Cheap. Nothing fancy. Does the job ”
We just stayed one night in Sydney on our way to Asia so wanted somewhere cheap. I don't think I would have stayed longer than one night. Some of the toilet locks don't work and the breakfast is very basic. Right next to king's cross station which was handy! We had a good size room with aircon so very good for what we paid for! But the view out the window was a small smelly storage space so we had to keep the window shut it smelt so bad! Overall pretty decent basic hostel

The only bummer for me is my age. They won't allow someone older than 35 to be in the dorm room. So you have to pay for the higher priced double room. Free continental breakfast in the am. Very helpful staff. 2 nights per week free dinners!. Place is kept pretty clean. 2-3 minute walk from Kings Cross station.
