It’s basic but what do you expect. Heard from friends that it was better than greenvalley nearby. It was also ฿150 cheaper than the dorm some other friends were staying at nearby (given the dorm had a pool and ac but still. Everyone that worked there was great. If you need to rent gear, Max who runs the climbing shop here is awesome, super friendly. If you’re staying in tonsai and don’t need anything fancy I can’t recommend this place enough!

Little Hidden Jungle Paradise”
Even if it was only one night we had a really really good time! +Staff is more than friendly and helpful +food is cheap and delicious +the location is a little hidden but that’s what we liked most +Barkeeper was super fun to talk to and hang out with. He gave us good Tipps for our trip -electricity is only on from 6PM - 0AM. We didn’t know before booking and honestly in that heat without AC/fan we barely got any sleep. We would still highly recommend and will come back!

Dirty and bathroom didn't work”
Tap didn't work at all. Shower was grim and didn't work properly, room was filthy, it hadn't even been swept before. the electricity goes off for 8 hours a day so fan and everything stops, room gets sweltering. Also Internet is extremely poor. You can only get WiFi by the bar. Would never stay again.

Most people are our exploring in the day, so its not a issues for a lot of people. We are sorry your thought your room was really dirty. If you had seen reception, we would have moved to another room, or fixed the problems with the current room. We are unable to do anything, if we do not know at the time. Pros: *staff is very friendly awesome people! *tonsai is incredibly beautiful and small so the location is great The power is off all day. This didn’t bother my partner or myself as we are out and about. This accommodation is very simple and for someone who is out climbing or outdoors all day. If you want to hangout in your room all day maybe not for you.

Best place for climbers ”
This was the perfect stay for us; chill vibes, clean and spacious room, amazing staff and great many great encounters. And of course, climbing spots everywhere around! It is in the jungle so people should be aware of this before booking if being a bit close to nature and its inhabitants is a problem for them. For us, it was the perfect hidden gem!

Fantastic location in the jungle ”
This is one of most amazing places I have visited the bungalows are in the jungle with a rustic feel. The noises you hear and animals frogs and insects is just an experience I won’t forget. The bungalows are basic and fit with the surroundings but are clean. The food was great and the staff are helpful and friendly. Would love to go back

Not comfy at all”
I know it is really cheap place, but it was way too much uncomfortable. First of all, its too far from the beach so we had to walk all the way and climb the ladder with a luggage. And the room was old and dirty. There was cockroach in the toilet and there was only little blanket on the bed. (No duvet) So we had to decide to go another place to sleep, it was little bit pricier than here, but worth it.

A very pleasant stay at Chill Out, I was aware there is no electric in the daytime but that wasn't a problem as I spent most of the time at the beach which was 5min walk. Big and Lorena where very friendly and accommodating and a great atmosphere at the bar.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few days over New Year and the staff were so friendly and welcoming, it instantly felt like a home away from home. Great location for climbing, relaxed atmosphere. Make sure you book enough days because we liked it so much we had to extend our stay!

Ton Sai will always have my heart. ”
Ton Sai is just coming back from a hard two years. Nothing bad to say but definitely basic. You get what you’d expect…..bed, cold showers and not necessarily the cleanest. But……the location is worth it!

Basic chill place on Tonsai”
Getting here is an adventure. The day we came was rainy and waves were too big so no boats were running to Tonsai. Hotel emails you before your stay on how to find the place but we got lost. It is quite a hike if you are coming from Railay east but we managed with 2 backpacks each. The easiest route is either going through the hotel on the right side of the beach or taking the paved path on the left (right by a red shack on the very end of the beach). We came here for climbing (unfortunately it was mostly rainy) so most of the climbing was on Railay. Bungalows and very basic, not the most clean and sheets still felt wet. Electric only runs from 6pm-12am. The people here are what make this place stand out! Be sure to stop by and do some climbing with Max and Jam (shop attached to the lobby). Also had coffee shop and restaurant/bar with great food people and prices! You get a more local experience here which is what makes it great!

Thank you for your review, unfortunately, yes if the waves are too high, as the boats can't go, it can be more difficult to get to us in low season, but as you said, we do send a message, to hopefully make it easier for the guest to be able to get to us. Electric is now back on 6pm-6am. We are glad you enjoyed the Tonsai vibe and got the local experience you were looking for,
