This is a delightful oasis, close to the beach but in the neighborhood that is otherwise kind of run down. The street is teeming with sketchy looking massage shops and dive bars. Some fine lunch and dinner restaurants to, but in the morning there was no place open to get coffee. Otherwise a great location, and a very comfortable room.

I unfortunately had a major back problem late at night, the staff rallied round and helped get me on my stretcher into a waiting ambulance they had called for me. Very much a family atmosphere with all staff eager to please.

I stayed at the Chivatara for two nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. They have a very nice pool. The hotel is close to the beach road is very close to the beach. There are several good restaurants nearby and of course there is the beach which is close by and there are many beach restaurants to eat at as well.

The hotel is situated on a small street and we have to walk about 400 m to get to Bang Tao beach. That 's ok. Hotel has nice swimming pool for adult and child. Room is clean and correct. Staff are very nice and polite. There are 4 places for parking. The area around is a bit tricky, special massage, pubs and bars but mostly close when I arrived because of Covid, somehow I fell into a massage place in which I told myself I should have believed my feeling and not step in. it is not so nice for family with young children. Restaurants around are less local thai food.

Older hotel but in good condition, rooms were acceptable, pool was large but another hotel we struggled for sun loungers in the sun ! So we headed to the beach every day. Breakfast wasn't great and the resturant food also, but outside were many resturants within 2 mins walk. The best beach on phuket is 2 mins walk with many bars/resturants.

Average hotel with nice swimming pool & garden”
Swimming pool and garden around it were super nice. Good location just few minutes walk to the beach and restaurants, suverier shops, minimart etc. Breakfast variety during the week stay was average but ok. Bigger problem was that food, juice, coffee and clean dishes run out every now and then, You had to wait quite a lot that staff refilled those. Bang tao beach has everything you need. Perfect for relaxing not so grouded beach. Easy to have taxi to other beaches Surin, Kamala etc and Patong´s nightlife & shopping. Take a longtail boat to the Banana beach nearby. Small restaurant and snorkeling on both ends on the beach. If you like to play pool without thai girls near Chivatara resort is good pool bar Orange corner.

Worst hotel breakfast I have ever had. Selection and quality of food very poor. Loungers at the pool were in the shade most of the day so not very good for sunbathing. Shower in room was not very powerful. The room and resort were very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful
