Nice stay in a very peaceful place”
Me and my husband enjoyed a lot our stay at Chomdoy Bungalows. It is beautiful place outside of town with a nice view to the green hills of the jungle. A very peaceful place to have a Lao Beer on the terrace of the restaurant when the sun is going down. After a short walk down the road you reach a typical village. From there we explored a little bit the sourrounding jungle and one day later did a guided 3 day hike organized by Len. Amazing experience!

Bungalows outside of the city, close to jungle”
These bungalows are outside of the city so you have to drive 20-30 mins before you reach civilization. The family there will be happy to rent you there scooter (125 ccm) for 50.000 kip/day (i was in 2019-03). The family there will also bring you to the city because you normally won't get a tuktuk from there to the city. The bungalows were good but and cheap but they didn't have a mosquito net. i wonder why. The family is very nice and the landlord is also owner of one of the tour providers. You can get the cheapest (great) trekking tours to the jungle, kayak, rafting (in the wet period) and so on... i really recommend this bungalows if you want to be away from the hectic of the city or if you like to drive scooter - for me, it was both :)

In the mountains ”
For the price the bungalow was great A fan is all you need and WiFi strong . An electric shower was a bonus and the lovely food and cold beer after a day of mopeding around amazing sights was well received. The view of mist covered mountains and the cool that hits you when u wake is lovely . On my last morning was dropped off at the bus by the owner and his 2 fun kids ... do do do stay here

Comfy stay un the countryside”
We had à quiet and Comfy night at the bungalow, on the top of a hill with a nice view on the national park. The bungalow was very new and clean. The family there is really nice, and the breakfast was good. The place is 10 km from City center but the family has à tuktuk and drives you for free down town!

Excellent”
We already knew the bungalows were quite far from town so this was not a problem for us and suited us well. It is in the mountains so prepare for it to be cold! We asked for an extra duvet which made it really cosy at night. The dinner and breakfast made by the owners wife was some of the best food we have had so far! I would definitely recommend walking to the local village which has a couple of hike trails which you can find on maps.me for you to explore straight from the door and the owner drove us to town in the morning. Would recommend staying here!

Oasis at the edge of Nam Ha NP ”
True laotian experience, we stayed 2 nights. Ideal for groups, we negotiated breakfasts and dinners by shared laotian style for flat rate. Owner, Mr. Len, runs Ethnic Travel Laos company (opposite to Dokchampa hotel in LN), so any kind of outdoor activity is available from here. We did 1 day trek through primary forest in NP with swimming in Nam Lang at the end. We cycled to Dokchampa bungallows from LN along excellent LN Valley Route (about 25 km with many detours), no guide necessary. Len took our luggage from his office in LN for free and returned our bikes to Zuela GH for reasonable fee. He even provided his private 12 seater van for a tranfer to Luang Prabang for the price of bus ticket (1,3 mil kip for 11 people) . I will be back with another group for sure.

Exceptional”
Very friendly and helpful family. Even if his wife didnt speak any english, she tried to help us as hard as she could. The location is far away from the city, very quiet and beautiful with funny locals. Unfortunately they only rent manual motorbikes. We can only drive automatics, and without a motorbike you cant move anywhere from there, so we needed to leave. But else everything suited us well there.

good if considering the price”
advantage : Even if it is a little far from downtown, it commands a good view... and staff are kind and smiling at you... you can rent motorcycle there. you can use tour there. I used one day kayaking tour. It was good but too hard for me also. disadvantage : There are some bugs in the room. Only manager can speak English. When he is not in the hotel it is almost impossible to communicate with other staff in English. When I leave this hotel, I heard they will take me to the bus terminal by tuktuk and it is free. but when the driver took me to the bus terminal he asked me 50,000 kips. He can not speak English so I can not explain to him what I heard. so I gave him 50 kips. there must be some misunderstanding.

We left after one night even though we had booked three, not clean enough, been woken up at night by rats and there is no restaurants or anything around. The owner is friendly though and she made us nice breakfast in the morning.

Not clean at all”
When we arrived, no one was there. The bungalow we got could have been nice, if only they had cleaned it. The bathroom was really gross with hairs all over the sink and the beds also weren’t clean. One day the water and electricity wasn’t working. There is no restaurant at all. There is no WiFi. One night I cooked for the two of us and two of the staff (who were really great btw) but at the end, without a warning, we got a bill of 300.000 Kip from the owner, which meant that we had to pay for the food for staff as well. That just doesn’t feel right. The location gives some great views but is very far out of the town, so make sure to arrange a motorbike or something (there are not a lot of taxis in the city).

Dans un trou pas de réception au bout de 10 minutes une vieille femme arrive ne parlant que vietnamien. J ai appeler le gars qui est sensé s’en occuper, il m’a dit de retourner en ville soit près de 15 km en tuk tuk payé pour rien Surtout n’y allez pas pour moi c’est du vol qualifié. Pourtant si vous regardez mes commentaires sur les autres vous verrez que je suis plutôt sympa

Loin de luang namtha si vous n'avez pas voiture/moto, salle de bain assez sale, chantier à côté des bungalows, restaurant apparemment fermé... Personnel assez sympa et lieu proche de l'entrée du parc national.

Très loin du centre-ville à 16 km obligatoirement prendre un Tuk tuk Prix exorbitant 50 000 kips Situé au bord de la route et à côté d’une carrière donc les camions passe toute la nuit et toute la journée impossible de dormir

Joli bungalows”
De jolis bungalows avec salle de bain et au chaude. Max de services à disposition: location moto, tuk tuk et contact direct pour trek. Le personnel est formidable malgré qu'ils ne parlent pas de langues étrangères mais maîtrisent google translate. Le seul point négatif c'est bruyant à cause des travaux à proximité et de la route mais nous avons passé un agréable séjour car bien positionné pour les différentes visites possible dans le coin luang namtha. Merci à eux...

Tout le confort de la ville avec un paysage enchanteur”
Tout ce que vous avez toujours voulu réuni en un seul lieu... Le confort, le service, une bonne douche a l'eau chaude, l'internet fiable et bien sûr, d'excellent repas le tout dans un endroit tranquille et pittoresque et ce, a quelques kilomètres de la ville; et si vous êtes a pied, pas de soucis, service de tuk-tuk sur place ou si vous préférez, vous pouvez louer une moto directement sur place.

Experience trop mitigée ”
Bon accueil du gerant, chambre ok, douche à peu pres chaude mais expérience très mitigée d'1nuit. après avoir séjourné en ville nous voulions passer notre dernière nuit plus côté campagne. Raté les bungalows surplombent une route très fréquentée par les camions (Nous étions plus au calme en ville). De gros "jours" sous les portes donc il fait assez froid. La sdb n avait pas été lavée. Proposition d'être conduit au bungalow en tuk tuk mais nous avons attendu longtemps qqun à la gare routière (coucher de soleil que l'on comptait voir depuis le bungalow : manqué..) Dîner bon mais une seule personne cuisine donc il faut attendre et on mange à tour de rôle.. Petit déjeuner inclus : même carte qu'au dîner, rien de sucré de possible, et il faut attendre très longtemps aussi (un de nous a dû du coup partir sans manger)

Nous avons été incroyablement bien reçus par la famille qui tient cet établissement. Le bungalow était impeccable, nous nous sommes comme sentis à la maison. La cuisine est excellente et nous avons même eu l’occasion de partager un apéro et un karaoké avec des locaux venus au restaurant! Le lieu offre une vue imprenable sur la montagne et se situe juste à côté de l’entrée du park national Nam Ha. Les propriétaires des lieux nous ont d’ailleurs arrangé une journée de trek tout près, durant laquelle nous avons pu visiter un village traditionnel.

Okaye Unterkunft”
Wir hatten ursprünglich für eine Nacht gebucht, haben dann aber verlängert. Die Unterkunft ist ziemlich weit draußen, wir haben dann ein Motorbike beim Hotelbesitzer gemietet, sodass man einen wirklich ruhigen Wohnort hatte und trotzdem mobil war. Die Familie des Besitzers war nach einer kleinen Aufwärmphase sehr nett und wir durften auch einen laotischen Trinkabend mit dem Besitzer verbringen. Sauberer könnte es ein bisschen sein, aber insgesamt hat es uns an nichts gefehlt. :)

Ideal für eine Auszeit”
Die Unterkunft liegt 12 km außerhalb des Stadtzentrums, ein paar Meter abseits der Straße mit schönem Ausblick in die grüne, hügelige Landschaft. Ein Leih-Motorrad ist daher empfehlenswert. Frühstück ist reichhaltig und lecker; Essen im Restaurant ebenso. Der Besitzer spricht sehr gutes Englisch und ist unterhaltsam; allerdings nur abends zugegen. Tagsüber sind Frau, Eltern und Angestellte mit wenig Englisch im Einsatz.
