Very well maintained rooms. Like a family villa/mansion (Was just surprised at first that a living room welcomed us as we entered, but it just got better after that) The Open-air onsen at night where you can see stars when clear, is the best.

on the day I arrived at the hotel I felt very private and relax especially at the outdoor onsen.Breakfast was very nice they tried to promote local contents with superb chef.But one thing to improve is how to get to the hotel for the one who have not got their own cars. Thank you for your service.

Pleasant and comfortable”

Great Onsen hotel”

We enjoyed outside onsen bath very much even if we have to pay private use fee. Great view from window and balcony with bath. The owner couple are not able to speak English well but they are very friendly and endeavour to communicate in English. The hotel is situated at very steep hill so if you drive up, you may needed to be a experienced driver or prepared to go up steep hill with extra care. Otherwise, we had really good time and we would visit again.

A Hotel difficult to reach by foot”

This is more like a guest house than a hotel. It is not at Hakone and we have to travel out to odawara and took a JR train to Yugawara. It is an apartment converted into a hotel and run by family of 3 members.It is not worth for tourist who want to see Japan as is situated on a hilltop and not accessable by foot unless you want to climb up the steep staircase of 10 mins walk. With luggage along, it is killing. Took a 10 mins taxi ride from the train station. There is no restuarant except the hotel itself. Yet, it has limited food and opening hours. The hotspring is opened only for very short and limited hours. We do not even have the chance to experienced it as we arrived at the place late and it is raining. You have to climb up a floor which is outdoor not shelted before you can reach the hotspring. If it rains, don't even mentioning of going out there. Only plus point is the owner is very helpful but english is not so proficent. Also, surprised that there is a piano and my son enjoyed playing it.

Bed & breakfast hotel with a great view”

My family & I felt very welcomed. This hotel does not feel like a hotel, it's like home away from home. We had a good night's rest. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Hakone.

Hotel with good view & nice breakfast”

There is a hotel rate dispute with Agoda but they're helping to resolve this. Long story short, the description on Agoda isn't exactly the way the hotel owner describes it. Anyway, I hope everything turns out alright as I'll be very disappointed for being with them for so long. Anyway, about the hotel, the owner & his family is very helpful though they hardly speak any English. I recommend to stay here only if you're driving as it's way up on the hill & you wouldn't like it in the night time.

Lovely hotel wih good privacy”

Nice hotel. Japanese and Western rooms are quite big and maintained good privacy. Internal hot water bath took us to relax mood after site seeing. Even though has to climb the hill to reach the hotel but closer to Yugawara station. Only item that gave us little shock was even after staying 3 days but asked for additonal one hour on departure, still asked to pay.

Small, friendly hotel”

The hotel is perched on a hillside overlooking the city, ocean, and mountains. Take a taxi from the train with your luggage, because it is a steep hill to climb. The staff (probably owners) spoke little English, but were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and we had dinner there one night, which was also very good. Japanese hot tubs were nice after a day of sightseeing. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The smoking area just outside our nonsmoking room was not ideal, but not a big problem.
