Find hotels near Cianjin District in Kaohsiung, Taiwan

The location is very convenient, closely located to an MRT station, though after a long day of work arriving only in Kaohsiung at 7:30pm, we opted for the taxi from the HSR. It was about a 15-20 min taxi ride costing ~$230NT (this was due to Friday evening traffic. Our return trip back to the HSR was only $200NT with no traffic and speeding). Although it is located next to one of those 24hr Taiwanese arcades, the noise is not a problem once you enter the hotel on the 3rd floor. Upon arriving to our room, I discovered I made a mistake when booking on Agoda. I had booked the Elite Twin, which I was sure had the option of choosing between the 2 single beds or 1 double bed. I asked Charlie about this, and she went to double check my booking, and despite my mistake, she was kind enough to allow us to switch to a room with a double bed (a smaller Luxury Double Room perhaps?). On our second night, we were upgraded from the Japanese futon room to (what looks like) the bigger Luxury Double Room. Both rooms were very nice. Beds and duvets were very comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean. The bigger room's bathroom included a bathtub and a bigger shower. We particular loved the beautiful light fixture on the ceiling. it was dim enough not to be invasive, but bright enough to see everything. Breakfast was average. Not a lot of variety, especially if you're staying for a few days. However, no need to fill up on breakfast as you're in Kaohsiung with easy access to some of the most delicious seafood. But another bonus is that there seems to be a WiFi router set up in each room separately as your log in name is your room number.

I travel a lot around the world and have stayed in all kinds of hotels. I was very surprised with the staff in this hotel being extremely polite and eager to provide the best service. You can only obtain this quility service in a 5-star Japanese hotel. Equally, the services and room quality are better than many 5-star hotles, even though this hotel is only rated for 3-star. The quality of their breakfast is the best I ever had. It is the best value for the money you can ever get from a hotel. By the way, the location of this hotel is also excellent. It is all within 5-minute walking distant to the subway station and the best night market. They even provide free use of their washing machine with free detergent and dryer. I found this to be extremely helpful in a hot climate when you sweat a lot.

Room was great plus the place was really clean. Totally unexpected for its price. Great buffet breakfast and a lot of freebies like ice cream, coffee, tea, plus noodles. Location is a few minutes walk from or to city council (old) station. Plus they lend out bikes for free, especially useful when going to art district and Cijin island. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I stayed in Kaohsiung for 3 days. My first hotel was horrible so I opted to check others and stayed in Khan the following day (very last minute booking) Upon arrival, the front desk person was very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean, carpeted and has the things you need (it even has a fridge). The pillow was not the cotton fluffy type but was acceptable. Also, they will give a guide to where you can eat near the hotel. cons: no breakfast. a bit of walking from mrt but tolerable overall, my mom and I enjoyed our stay here.

The only thing I can say about this hotel is I will stay here again if I come KH. Located at the center of the city and the famous night market-Liouhe night market is also here. The room is very clean and comfortable. All the equipments used in the room are very good. I like the shampoo and shower gel they provided :p. Free snacks and drinks everyday and 2 cans of coke also. You also can borrow their bikes for free to explore a lot of nice places like Xiziwan（西子湾）for some great view and if you like shopping, you must go Xin Juejiang shopping district. Great price with very nice clothes and shoes for guys and girls. For girls , a lot of nice shoes are all under NT400, shirts and pants (long & short) and guys under NT1000. The greatest food I love in this place are the Angel Fried Chicken(NT70) with the supercup milk tea with 1000cc(less than NT50) just beside the chicken store. The fried chicken is awesome, the meat is thick but well-cooked and soooooo juicy, the skin outside is very crispy. If you come this place, you won't regret! I stayed in KH at 2 Jan- 5 Jan. it's not cold at all, you dont have to bring the winter clothes but there are some raining days so umbrella and rain cloth are very necessary. I had a great time at KH and Jia's Inn and I hope my review could help you in some way . Wish you a nice trip in KH.

Surprise surprise surprise. This hotel is full of wow factors which I cannot praise them enough for. They actually have the standards for being a 5-star hotel. 24H snack bar with a great range of food and beverages, self-service laundry, complimentary daily newspapers, massage tub, huge and comfy bed!!! I guess they're rated at 3 stars for not having a gym and a pool... It is also not located near the KRT station. However, there is a shuttle service from Hanshin to the train station, which is a minute's walk down the street of the hotel. Otherwise it would definitely be the cream of the crop! Really missing this hotel. Defintely a satisfied customer :)

Good compact room design, comfortable and clean room. Very near to City Council station (MRT Orange line). Easily access to nearby shopping districts. Light and ample breakfast served with both Western and Chinese foods. Helpful and efficient staff, fast check in and check out. A simple map showing nearby area and MRT lines is provided to ease tourists upon check in. In short, good value to stay.

This is one of the best hotel in Kahsiung to stay in for the price range. They provided good variety of breakfast and even serves you supper from Sunday-Thursday. The room is clean and spacious. The only cons is that the location of the hotel is about 15 min away from the nearest MRT. They do provide shuttle van to the station but needs to be booked earlier and not everytime you can successfully book it. It is near to the nearest Liu He Night Market as well. Definitely recommend for couples who do not mind walking a bit.

My stay with Harbour 10 hotel has been awesome, they have friendly staffs and great facilities. They even organized a Complimentary Welcome Tea session at the cafeteria. The view from the hotel is impressive as the hotel is located directly opposite a part of the Love River which is a nice place to chill in the evening. Although the nearest train station is not very near but there are buses that makes it quite convenient to commute. I will definitely book this hotel again should I be coming to Kaohsiung!

I stayed 3 nights. Excellent location. Short distance to walk to MRT tube station. Easy to travel around. The Hotel room is very clean, new and comfortable to stay. The staff are very helpful in providing detailed train information and giving useful traveling advice. The washachine is handy to use. One thing I am not impressed is the beeakfast. Overall, The hotel room is very good value. I would strongly recommend it.

stayed at legend hotel in kaohsiung for 4 days 3 nights before traveling on to taipei, and i must say it was better than i expected. from the outside the hotel doesn't look like much, but once u pass through the lobby glass door, you'll be greeted by the friendly staff. they will be more than happy to assist you should u ask them. there are also bikes for rent, and xbox in the lobby to keep the kids busy. although it is a small hotel (one passenger lift) and the rooms are slightly smaller than what you may be used to, the rooms are clean, and fitted with all the amenities. my room (and others too i would assume) was equipped with inbuilt multi power adaptors, so you don't have to worry about forgetting the power socket adaptor that you may require. the room also had over 100 channels (most similar rated hotels i've been to only had 30+) for your viewing pleasure, and the aircon is cool and clean. beds were extremely comfortable and clean. we had breakfast each day even though we didn't book the room with breakfast. even though the breakfast wasn't a 5 star buffet, it was decent one, providing typical chinese breakfast of porridge and a few western menu like pasta and chicken nuggets. the hotel is also located conveniently within 10-15mins walking distance to two kaohsiung train stations (farmosa and city council stations) you can travel to most parts of kaosiung from these two stations. the hotel is located within walking distance to liouhe night market, which a great for cheap seafood and might market food. overall, i am extremely happy to have stayed at legend hotel and wouldn't think twice of staying there again should i go back to kaosiung! :) two thumbs up!

Room on the 8th floor was big and comfortable but wifi was very bad. However managed to get a router with NTD1,000 refundable deposit from front desk and wifi improved dramatically. Front desk very helpful and friendly although we can only speak basic Mandarin. Breakfast was above average with Taiwanese and simple Westen dishes. Although hotel advertised free parking, it had very limited lots and we had to leave the car to the valet to park in the basement using mechanical lift.

One of the best hotels in Taiwan that I've stayed in so far. Really clean room and hotel with a convenient location near Central Park train station and the Xinjuejiang shopping district. Also situated right beside Holiday KTV. Best thing about this hotel is the good flushing system which enables you to flush down small amounts of toilet paper, which is hard to find in other hotels in Taiwan. There is also a free snack area and laundry area open 24/7. Staff around the snack area are friendly and nice, but those at the reception area are quite rude and unhelpful. Another weird rule to note is that you have to surrender your room card to the reception whenever you leave the hotel, and then collect it back only when you are back. If you are fine with this bizarre rule then I guess this is a good hotel to consider in Kaohsiung.

it takes 15 mins to wake from mrt station to the hotel and it is very close to one of the famous night food market. we were arranged to live in the vip room.the room we have is very big,with a living room, bedroom and a toilet.in the living room, the sofa is comfortable and we enjoyed to watch tv on the sofa. the bed is king size and comfortable too. slippers are comfortable too. although there was some voice formed due to heavy rain outside, we enjoyed living there. by the way, the breakfast is in taiwan style, and not special but acceptable in all.

I visited Kaohsiung with my girlfriend and stayed at the Riverside Hotel and I'm really glad we did. Everything was great and if I ever return to Kaohsiung, I will gladly stay there again. Three minor comments: 1. Staff didn't really speak English. I know enough Mandarin to get by, so it wasn't really an issue for me; just be aware of that. 2. No real view, but who cares? The Love River is a tad over-rated and you should be strolling along it anyway, not looking at it from an over-priced hotel. 3. No door between the bathroom and the bedroom, only a curtain. If you need privacy, run the faucet and tell your partner to listen to some music and you should be fine. One of my favorite hotel experiences ever. Seriously.

It's a budget hotel. The hotel and rooms are a bit old, but you get what you pay for. The location is good - in between City Council and Formosa Boulevard stations, so you can choose from which station to get out of. It's also very near (~5 min walk) to the Liuhe Night Market, where there are lots of street food. There's a nearby resto selling noodles with seafood - very tasty and it seemed to be popular among the locals, as there queue was long. The aircon was strong, which is always a plus for me. The hotel staff didn't speak much English, but were very helpful when I reported a problem with the aircon and TV. It's not fancy, but it's cheap and suits well for budget travellers.

This hotel is underrated. It doesn't have as many amenities as some others such as the Ambassador, but the room is perfect and the staff is great...VERY clean and VERY comfortable. They don't speak much English, but enough. If you don't care about having a river/harbor view, La Ping will beat any other more highly starred hotel in Kaohsiung. We will be staying at this hotel again on return trips.

Conveniently located just within 3 minutes walk from from Central Park MRT station. You can enjoy the scenary within the park on your way there. The hotel is easy to spot as soon as you leave the park. The room and bathroom is very spacious and is themed with imperial style decoratives with woods and golden-like furnitures. You might not like the atmosphere if you're not fancy with imperial style. The included breakfast (start serving at 7AM) is very appetizing and offers a wide variety of cuisine including asian style porridge, western style fries and breads. Be sure to eat a wholelot of them before starting your journey!
