        Dormitory with hotel facilities”

They stay was very pleasant. Two bathrooms in a 6-beds rooms, hot water and electricity guaranteed (generator). Confortable big bed with curtains, light and power sockets. In a quiet area, close to city center and the river. The breakfast is worth the price, just missing a breakfast included option in dorm booking.

Definitely the best place to stay in town!”

Super good location close to the Old town and markets. The staff is lovely, the room is clean (not always the case in other Guesthouses...). So it may seem to be a bit expensive for a dorm without breakfast but it is worth the money.

Comfortable stay in a local favorite”

This review is for the second room I booked. There were only two rooms still available when I made the booking, one each of the standard and deluxe twins. I stayed in the deluxe, my 2 business colleagues in the standard twin. Had a great stay and breakfast was good as usual, except I felt it was difficult to bring down all that food in the morning due to all the bread. I might consider choosing one of the local options next time, which may be easier to digest. Loved the free refills of green tea, orange juice, water and black tea/coffee though. Although I'm no fan of instant coffee so I would never order that.

Comfortable stay in a regular favorite”

As usually we had a great stay in this local favorite decorated with many cultural artifacts. Had lunch here the day before, on our way to Yangon, which was great as usual but didn't arrive in time for dinner on the evening of our arrival, so had to go to a riverside restaurant instead. Anyway, variety is always nice and I've had meals at the hotel restaurant many times so no reason to complain. Wifi worked well and the TV has many international channels, unlike hotels in Hpa-an, which only offer local channels (which I found quite strange). Breakfast was nice but in some ways too big - you find yourself unable to finish everything because of all the bread that is served that really fills you up. That is if you order the continental breakfast. Might be better to order one of the local breakfasts instead, they do have 8 choices.

A good choice where there are few options”

Cinderella, overall, is fine . . . nice, even. Clean, conveniently located, and the restaurant is a nice space. I am, however, going to say something here about the staff. It is well known that travel by bus in the country often places travellers in situations where they arrive in the very early hours of the day. In my case, 6am. This staff, like many around the country, handle this with grace and hospitality. However, as I was scheduled to stay in the dorm, I was especially sensitive to the disruption checking in early may cause to others still sleeping in the dorm. So, while I appreciated the offer, I asked to simply put my bags aside, since I was planning to make my way to the early morning market for breakfast. But, the staff absolutely insisted, and indeed, we surely woke all four people in the dorm still sleeping. There is a sense of "we know better than you" that frequently pervades communication with hotel staff in Myanmar. Sometimes, the guest may have the better idea.

        Pleasant stay as usual”

Great as usual. The only minor disappointment was that on our first morning, we had to leave just after 5am for an appointment in Yangon and weren't able to be provided with a breakfast box. This was because we only informed the staff around 10pm, just after we finished dinner as they normally prepare these boxes in the restaurant the evening before. This meant we had to stop somewhere along the highway for breakfast. On the second morning things were more relaxed and we were able to enjoy the breakfast as usual.

Nice garden area in the back for meals and breakfast. Breakfast was nice. Included fruit and lots of options (western and local) They weren’t great at advising me on tours. Also couldn’t borrow a towel after checking out for the swim part of a tour. They didn’t have to. But what’s the harm.

I was there for 2 night in the mixed dorm. Breakfast was not included but only 3500Kyat and awsome! The Dorm is pretty big and has his own showers and toilettes. The Hotel is modern and the friendly staff speaks english well. It was a little bit expensiv, but you get something for your money.

Very clean dorms and comfortable beds, good showers and proper towels. Staff very friendly and helpful (but you’re paying for the hotel style service). Breakfast is not included, but there are good options for restaurants nearby. Also went out to some of the nearby attractions with a driver organised through them, would probably say that the reclining Buddha was the only thing worth seeing. Overall a very nice place to stay, especially given the limited options in Mawlamyine.

Excellent value for money, nice friendly staff, beautifully decorated hotel and guest rooms. I liked the freebies in the room and the room was nice and big too. At first the hot water took a while to come on, but in the end it was fine. Dinner was superb, though unfortunately because it was getting late we couldn't avail ourselves of the entire menu, just the Thai/Chinese dishes. Breakfast was also amazing. We will surely be back again on our next trip to Mawlamyine.

        Staff performance, room facilities, food

We arrived at the hotel after a long day of meetings and driving from Yangon around 7.45pm. Check-in was fast and efficient, the bellboy however took pride in his ability to explain every little instruction as if we had never stayed at a hotel before, LOL. Around 20 minutes later, we were ready to head out to the church but I wanted to have dinner first. Clearly it wasn't going to be a quick dinner because our food took over 30 mins to arrive and by the time I had finished both meals we ordered, nearly an hour had elapsed. My dad already went to visit the church half way through dinner as he figured it would be too late otherwise. However, you don't eat at this hotel in 10 mins, you stay and take in the ambience. The food was excellent and I noticed a whole new menu they didn't have last time, as well as new outdoor seating. Next morning we had to leave around 4.30am, but luckily we were offered a take away breakfast option. A pity we couldn't enjoy the usual great breakfast, but considering that part of the road from the Thanlwin river bridge (which only opens at 5am) to Ein Du is in disrepair, if you have to catch a flight in Mae Sot like my dad did, then there's no mucking around as the drive to the border took an hour longer than it would have taken from Hpa-an so around 4h30m overall.

Handicrafts and culture/history displayed throughout the hotel, room comfort and breakfast

This was my 3rd stay at the Cinderella Hotel and I was not disappointed. After check-in, we were provided with a fruit platter full of rambutans and of course, the usual free cookies, tea and coffee were provided in the room. A couple of noticeable changes since my last visit: the bathrooms have been upgraded and now complement the rooms, whereas before they were somewhat shabby. Unfortunately, there was no more free tablet provided for guest use, although since I always travel with both a laptop and smartphone, personally I'm good, but it was a nice touch for guests that might be without these items in order to access the internet. However, they do have a couple of computers located on the ground floor for guest usage. Breakfast was nice, consisting of one local speciality plus some traditional Myanmar snacks, papaya and tea/coffee. Will be back again next time I'm in Mawlamyine (Moulmein).

Nice hotel ! I stayed in the dorm with a friend and it was very clean and confortable. It's well located, just 10 minutes walk to the riverside and 15 minutes walk to the pagoda to see the sunset. The staff is so lovely and helpful. Also the restaurant serves delicious food and not too expensive !

Great value for money. Air con, hot water, super clean, comfy beds, robes, busy and quirky decor, helpful staff who helped us arrange our onward travels. The restaurant is inviting and servers charming but the food was just ok and priced a bit high. One exception: the Oreo smoothie was fantastic!

I think this place got mixed reviews on agoda but it's one of the nicest dorms I've ever stayed in while traveling. Really fancy and clean. Staff are friendly and know enough English. Good location. Extremely accommodating. I would 100% recommend spending the extra few bucks to stay here instead of the other options in town
