Great hospitality and location!”
Shinjuku might be a red light district but don’t let that discourage you from staying there with your family. Japan is safe, clean and friendly and even the red light district maintains a civility lost in other places. The Citadines Central Shinjuku Tokyo hotel staff are lovely, welcoming and helpful and did their utmost to make our stay in Tokyo pleasant. The rooms, while small, are well laid out and the presence of the Lawsons conbini downstairs meant that snacks and drinks were always available. Access to Shinjuku Station was a short walk which opens up the whole of Tokyo in turn. The hotel is located close to modern cultural icons such as the Robot Restaurant and the izakaya collective in Golden Gai is literally right outside to the rear of the hotel. What struck me about the hotel, and Tokyo generally, was how quiet it was - the politeness of drivers means very few horns are honked and we heard sirens only rarely. Loved the hotel and will return when we can.

going the extra mile/our home away from home”
our 6d tokyo vacation was a very memorable one, we stayed at citadines central shinjuku from june 16-21 , my husband and i celebrated our anniversary last june 17 and it was also his birthday , nobody from the hotel knew that it was my hubby's birthday , but we were surprised when a hotel staff left a greeting card cookies and origami in our hotel room , our first time to received a very warm treatment from hotel management and staffs, want them to know that we were very pleased, Maybe this is their way of going the extra mile for their customers, We are planning to go back to tokyo this november, but this time with our kids, and we will definitely choose to stay at citadines central shinjuku tokyo again...our home away from home

Excellent location especially for Tokyo Marathon”
very-centrally located, right in the centre of shinjuku (north-east of shinjuku station where all the actions are), free wifi internet, free breakfast, 24-hour convenience store located just at the doorstep......what else could you ask for. the room is very small, but clean and neat! the hygiene is top-class. for the price i paid, it's worth every single cent. i was in tokyo for tokyo marathon, and this hotel is within walking distance to the start line. i will definitely stay here again for the 2013 tokyo marathon! although you can reach shinjuku station by walking through the underground malls through many of the exits/entrances on yasukuni dori, it is advisable to walk on street level to avoid getting lost, especially if this is your first time. for first time traveller to tokyo, my advice is don't take the airport train to shinjuku station. shinjuku station is the biggest and busiest station in tokyo. you will get lost! take the airport bus instead which will drop you at the west side of shinjuku station. from here, you may take a cab to best western shinjuku which takes only around 5-10 mis, or walk if you don't have many things to bring. cab fare will cost less than yen.

All round great hotel”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Citadines. We found the staff extremely helpful and they often went above and beyond to assist us with our requests. The room was a decent size with all the amenities one requires for there stay. The breakfast and lunch buffet served at the restaurant in the lobby floor was great value for money. The hotel is located in the middle of all action and as such is walking distance from numerous restaurants. We would stay at the Citadines Central Shinjuku Tokyo again.

Great Stay, Perfect Location”
We stayed at Citadines Central Shinjuku for 5 days over Christmas. We had a great stay. Rooms are small, but we booked a deluxe double room which i think were a little bigger than the standard, and with some strategic placement of suitcases, the room size is completely manageable. The bathrooms are really well designed, so enough room for 2 people. The breakfast was really good. Big enough variety that we didn't get bored in our 5 day stay, and all of the food supplied was delicious. The hotel is in easy walking distance to the JR station, the beds are comfortable, and rooms are cleaned daily. Overall we had a terrific stay at this hotel and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Shinjuku.

Great Stay, Perfect Location ”
We had a wonderful stay at Citadines Shinjuku. It was very well priced and the location is impeccable. Close to Shinjuku station which will allow you to get to pretty much anywhere in Tokyo very easily. Its also close to some great places to shop, eat and drink. Directly behind the hotel is a group of street with lots of tiny owner/operated bars that are popular with the locals and a must visit! Also if you staying at this hotel, make sure you visit the Robot Restaurant that is about 5min walk away, its definitely an experience We found the breakfast a little below our expectations. Very little fresh fruit (canned fruit was all i could find ) and apart from the Asian breakfast dishes, the rest felt very processed. Other than this its clean and the service is VERY friendly. If you have luggage and are going to and from the hotel to Narita Airport, I suggest Using the Sky Limo service and then a Taxi to and from the hotel. Was very easy and only took about 70min all up.

Good Location And Good Value For Money!”
This is our second visit to Tokyo and also our second stay at Citadines Central Shinjuku Hotel. This hotel has become our default hotel in Tokyo mainly because of the location and it's good value for money. Service is good. Staffs were courteous and respectful and they speak good English. I will definitely book this hotel again in my next visit to Tokyo.

Excellent”
Walking distance to Shinjuku train station. Lots of convenience stores & places to eat by. Alao close to shopping places. Rooms are tiny but I guess this is the norm in Tokyo. Buffet breakfast menu does not change, but was good & my kids loved it. We stayed 8 nights. There is a Lawson at the ground floor that is open 24 hrs. It was quite tricky to find since there are two Citadines hotels in Shinjuku. This hotel is more central & close to everything.

good price with good location”
it was a nice stay in Citadines Central Shinjuku Tokyo for three nights, we spent three nights there. The breakfast was simple, but the hotel would change the menue a little; the staff service also good, they could fulfill our request promptly.

Great location but small rooms”
The location is within walking distance of Shinjuku station but it is easy to miss especially if one is bad at directions! But the key to locating the hotel is to look up! Because one can't missed the logo and hotel name written at the hotel of the building. It actually took us (my travelling partner and myself) just under 20 minutes to walk to the hotel from Shinjuku station. But do note that the pavements along the main road leading to the hotel are not friendly to the wheels of one's lugagge bag! The check-in was very smooth and we were satisfied with the room albeit its small size. The bed and pillow were also very comfortable which allows us to have a good night's sleep through-out our stay. The bathroom's amenities were also well equipped and my travelling partner even commented that his hair is smooth after using the shampoo and conditioner (He tried all kinds of shampoo but none a good as the one in the hotel). In all we had a pleasant stay. The complimentary internet and daily breakfast also add value to our stay and enhances our experience. Thanks Best Western Shinjuku! Will definately recommend this to my friends and also return to the same hotel for my next trip to Tokyo!

Great value for money”
In a very interesting and convenient location just 10 mins from JR Shinjuku, right in the heart of Kabuki-cho where all the action of Shinjuku is. But very safe as the reception is at level 3 instead of the usual ground floor so away from the sleaze etc. Room sound proofing is excellent as you can't hear all the noise from the streets at all! Room facilities is good. Very clean and spacious for a Japanese hotel! Had a good soak in the tub. Breakfast was lovely but you are surrounded by so many eateries that I would suggest JUST SKIP the breakfast option. There is a Lawson convenience store just right downstairs at the ground floor and a 7-11 just 2 shops away, should hunger pangs strike you in the middle of the night. But again, many eateries open till dawn. I only disliked the bedsheets, which was a little rough for me. Otherwise, Citadines is a reputable hotel, won't go wrong with it!

Great hotel in the center of everything”
We stayed at Best Western Shinjuku Astina Hotel for one night and we really enjoyed it. The hotel is centrally located so everything comes handy. You can also find a convenience store in the ground floor. Just a few minutes from the hotel will bring you to malls, shopping and dining areas as well as parks and train station. Dining is never a problem since the hotel is surrounded by restaurants. The room we had was well-equipped with modern facilities albeit quite small, which is expected from a Tokyo hotel. The breakfast spread was also good, much to our delight. I will definitely go back and recommend this hotel to my friends and to anyone visiting Tokyo!:)

Fantastic location, great service”
stayed here for 4 nights last week, with my fiance. the location is excellent, right in the heart of shinjuku which is a great location to get to other parts of tokyo. only 10 minutes walk from the metro underground train station. the staff were very courteous and helpful, the room was pretty small but by all accounts that is typical of tokyo, and we felt it was still great value for money compared to other prices we saw. breakfast was pretty good, with a range of hot and cold options. we would definitely stay here again, as it's right in the heart of shinjuku and where all the action is, yet the room provided a great night's sleep!

The Best Location in the Heart of Shinjuku”
This is my second stay in Citadines Central Shinjuku. We stayed in a premier twin room. It is very spacious. 3 adults can sleep comfortably. It has a big toilet and bath and a tub. Kettle., coffee, tea are provided. All requests were acted upon quickly. There's a Lawson on the ground floor. And location is truly the best.

Superb stay”
Basically seemed like a great deal for a great place to stay. It was our first stay in Tokyo and the room was a bit smaller than we're used to. Obviously this was not unexpected, but we were traveling with our one-year-old. The crib for her, which we had requested and was set up in the room prior to arrival, filled the available space. We wound up folding it up and having her sleep on the floor. The hotel is genuinely walkable from Shinjuku station. With a little less baggage, it would have been a pleasant stroll. From the station, the hotel lies just at the beginning of the late night, hostess-oriented entertainment area, so you don't have to experience the thick of it if you don't want to. Breakfast buffet was pretty mediocre for my tastes. Wet scrambled eggs, sad looking ham slices, mini hot dogs instead of sausages. I know this is Asia and the preferences are different--the Japanese options looked better--but it didn't work well for me. Ate a lot of cereal and toast.

Best I could wish for at great price in great area”
I stayed at Best Western Astina Shinjuku for a week in January 2012 in a non smoking room on the 8th floor, while my daughter stayed in a smoking room on the 10th floor. Both rooms were very well serviced, quiet, comfortable, clean, and having all the amenities any reasonable traveller would find more than adequate for the price. You can even borrow Aus to Japan electric converter at no cost! Reception had no trouble finding out sumo wrestling bout times when requested, likewise obtaining directions to a bank / chemist etc were no problem at all. Good food standard at breakfast and dinner, a great deal is to skip breakfast and use the vouchers for the lunch buffet at only yen extra (a single beer would set you back 600 - 700 yen at most places). The hotel is 5 minutes walk to Shinjuku Station - make sure you go via East exit - where you can go anywhere from, including Shinkansen to Kyoto / Osaka, regional trains, Disneyland etc. A great find indeed, perfect for business or leisure stays, will definitely come back!

Exceptional Stay”
I have to say that at first I was reconsidering changing venue, but I have to say that my stay was exceptional with great staffs and accommodation to include great activities within the surrounding area of the hotel. I will make it a point to let family, friends and business associates to booked a room at Citadines Central Shinjuku Tokyo. I give a rate of 9.5 for great staff, customer service and accommodation. Thank you for making my stay comfortable...

Another Enjoyable Tokyo Trip”
Not our first Tokyo visit but our first stay at the Citadines and we found the staff to be very friendly on arrival and throughout our stay. A short walk from Shinjuku JR Station and other metro lines made travel around the city easy. The local nightlife, shopping & restaurants are all right on your doorstep if you need it. Room was clean and big enough for 2 of us. The free wifi was a bonus.

Great hotel - will stay again.”
We only stayed at Citadines for one night before we left Japan, having toured Tokyo at the start of our trip while staying at another hotel. We wished we had stayed at Citadines for our Tokyo tour - the room was spacious (by Japanese standards), clean and quiet. The beds and showers were good. We had the buffet breakfast and although the coupon noted that the busy period was from 9 - 10am, there were plenty of spare tables (noting we were there on a weekday though).
