Great Place for Family”
Citadine is convenietly located. 5 min from Holborn Station with picadilly and central line. If you love shopping, you can choose to see London above ground, Bus 98 brings you right through oxford street and all the way to Marble Arch. For foodies, there are plenty of great food around. The restaurant Lush besides the hotel is great and gives 20-25% disc for Citadine’s guest. 2 supermarket nearby and fast food in abundance. If you are willing to walk 15-20 min, you will be able to reach Cicchetti@ Covent Garden (Italian): Must Try their Pizzas Four Seasons @ China Town (Chinese): Famous Crispy Duck Burger and Lobster @ High Holborn: A MUST try in London. They have amazing deserts. Only set back at citadine is that the apt only has a standard microwave. Was hoping to grill or bake there. Also no daily housekeeping unless you pay for it or stay longer. Otherwise a brillant hotel.
Dear Choon, We thank you for your feedback! And for your very nice recommendations in terms of shopping and restaurants and around. We have also well noted your comment regarding the microwave, and we do hope that this did not prevent you from enjoying your stay in our residence Citadines Holborn-Covent Garden. Looking forward to welcoming you again for your next stay in London, Sincerely yours, The Management
Awesome place to stay! Hotel with no pretentions.”
I checked in at 9:30am and so glad that the receptionist handed me over the key immediately to my room. Need to use the same room key to enter the elevator (what an added security). Room is surprisingly has a different feel, unlike the usual carpeted floors, this one has laminated wood floors, I liked it a lot, theres a free slipper so your feet will always stay warm. Rooms are big and very modern, bed is nice and firm. Very simple design and what a lovely kitchenette, full of utensils and cooking pots with microwave, kettles and plates. No complimentary bottled water but few tea and coffee sachets are there. Although on my 3 nights stay it was never filled up again. My view on Room 203 is High Holborn Street, even its right on the busy street, its not noisy at all. The crowd on the streets below are mostly office workers working near and around the hotel. Subway, EAT, Waitrose, Starbucks are your neighbours. Theres even a 24hour convenience store nearby the corner of the hotel. The Receptionist are very courteous. The lobby is like a living room from the Ikea catalouge with 2 MAC computers for free internet. Never tried their breakfast but the breakfast room is open and looks like a bar lounge, very nice indeed. I tried the small gym, very ample and modern equipments are in place. There is a Left luggage room to store your bags for free if your flight is after the 12noon checkout, not an inconvenience at all for there are many seating areas and the public toilet is next to eat which is immaculately clean. Overall, I love this hotel. I have tried many hotels in London from backpackers to 5 stars, I like the feel of the apartment-hotel, its like living in a High-end Condominium. For the last 5 years I always stay in the Russel Square-Holborn-Covent Garden area for its very near to everything and yet much quieter and the crowd usually College students and office workers.
We love this hotel!”
This was my first trip back to London after 7 years. The hotel staff was friendly and the check-in was done in less than 10 mins. Super quick! Thumbs up in my books! Even though the hotel was next to the main roads, the hotel was safe and secured. Upon entering the room, we were surprised that the room was spacious. We had a nice pantry and large bathroom with enough space to walk around. The room smells nice too! The location is superb too! It was walking distance to Convent Garden. We would definitely return to this hotel when we are in London. Thanks Citadines!
Central enough with good facilities!”
I had stayed for 2.5 weeks since mid Sep 2016. The room for 2, was smaller but comfortable and clean. Housekeeping is done once a week, so this hotel was managed more like a serviced apartment with a front desk/reception to handle day TK day queries, check ins and outs. The hotel had a functional gym and self laundry facilities - which was what I needed for the long stay. Lots of restaurants along Kingsway, Red Lion St, High Holborn or even a short walk to Covent Garden & Leicester Square. Although the tube station is less than 3mins away, it can be difficult accessing Holborn station during peak hours, so walking to Covent or Leicester stations was also convenient enough. Staff service and attentiveness was great, polite and definitely no complaints. Thanks Citadines!
amazing hotel and fantastic service”
I absolutley loved citadines holborn covent garden. The service from staff was fsntastic and addressed our every needs. The rooms were perfect, great ambience. I loved the kitchen and all the utilities that came with it! The bathroom n bedrooms were perfect. The hotel felt like a home away from home! I would definatly stay here again when i return to london.
Absolutely fantastic ”
Can not fault this hotel. Absolutely fantastic location - 1 minute walk to Holborn underground. Waitrose and Sainsbury's across the road. Wonderful staff. They even let us check in about 10:30 in the morning- was so grateful for this. Very clean, comfortable and modern apart hotel. I stayed in one of the studio rooms. Would not stay anywhere else in London other than a Citadine hotel in the future. Thank you for making my experience of London so wonderful
Dear Helena, Thank you for your valued patronage and your kind words. Your feedback motivates us to do better to ensure that our residents have a warm and pleasant experience. We look forward to welcoming you again. Kind regards, The Management
one of the best places to start in london”
citadines offers a studio-like room with kitchenette that gives you the flexibility to have some drinks & meals of your own. it has very friendly staff and a breakfast buffet if you wish to use the hotel facilities. i often go to london and this is my preferred hotel to stay, it's 2min walk from holborn tube station, on the piccadilly line, so direct line connection to regent/bond street for shopping.
Modern hotel in the centre of stuff”
Citadines Holborn has a wonderful location in midtown, walking distance to Convent Garden, shops, British Museum, clubs etc. It is also easily accessible by Underground and as we arrived by the Eurostar; also located near St Pancras Station. Overall, we did not spend much time in the hotel as we were busy exploring the neighbourhood. But overall, lots of amenities nearby; pret a manger, sainsburys etc as well as the convent garden restaurants and pubs located within easy walking distance.
Great stay”
The Citadines Holborn was an excellent place to stay. It is close to the underground and was so easy for us to get around and see the sights of London. Our room was quiet and had everything that we needed for our stay. I would thoroughly recommend it.
Dear Cathy, Many thanks for your recent feedback and nice comments! We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future, it would be a great pleasure! Kind regards, The Management
Great location in the middle of city”
The room was considered big for London hotel, and there was space for a small armchair next to the bed. There was also a small fridge, sink and induction hob, at a corner of the room. It turned out to be very useful as I could just pop by Waitrose or Sainsbury round the corner, get some salads, pasta and cook my own 3-course meal when it was just too cold to venture out. The location is great, its only a short walk to the British Museum, Covent Garden and Leicester Square, where I made trips to eat the yummy Four Seasons roast duck, and even packed it home for my family! The hotel is also just next to the Holborn station, has a bus-stop opposite, with Krispy Kreme, Mcdonalds, an Italian restaurant along the street. The hotel is new and the furnishing are all quite modern. It was really nice to find a decent hotel right smack in the city centre, without burning a hole in the pocket!
Convenient location, Great room”
Its a short walking distance to the British Museum and Convent Garden. Great location and its right by the Holborn tube station. The room was lovely and has a small equipped kitchen with utensils and refrigerator. Excellent for people planning on longer term stay.
Excellent location and great size room for the price!”
This Citadines is bigger than the one at Trafalgar Square and cheaper so I thought the price was more worth it. Only thing is it doesn’t have hot chocolate served round the clock like the one at Trafalgar Square. Otherwise the location is great and the tube station at Holborn has less steps to manage with our luggage than Leicester Square.
Dear Katherine, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. It is great to have you stay with us. We appreciate your review and the compliments about our service and facilities. We hope to welcome you again. Kind Regards, Guest Service
Nice hotel and comfortable rooms”
The Hotel was very nice. The position was perfect since it was very close to the subway stop Holborn. The staff was friendly and willing to help. The room was comfortable and quite big. It included also a small kitchen that I did not end up using but is always useful to have. The price was quite high but, having booked just few days in advance, I expected it. If I will go back to London and I will need a place close to the city, this is one hotel I will definitely re consider.
Great hotel in a great location”
A terrific place to stay in London - close to Holborn tube, walking distance to many great sights such as London Museum and Covent Garden, lovely spacious rooms with good amenities. Can't fault it
Clean and Tidy Hotel”
A great location for getting around London. Walking distance to Covent Garden, Oxford Street and Regent Street. Holborn tube station within 200m of the hotel. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful with providing local information, even provided a sheet with a few tips on the locality and transport.
Great location and free wifi!”
We were changed to a regular studio room to get 2 separate single beds (instead of a double which is in a club room) and it was still quite spacious and room also had a mini kitchenette complete with a microwave, hob, fridge and cutlery. Hairdryer was also very powerful which is great. There was no carpet but floor boards and tiles in the kitchenette - which we found to be no problem. They also have free wifi which you get through a voucher code daily from reception - for a hotel in London that is quite a feat! Also free fruit and hot drinks (same machine as at breakfast) in the waiting area/reception there and lots of waiting area for guests. Breakfast is a continental set up (so cold cuts, bakery items, juice and coffee, fruit, cereal) with an addition of a waffle machine where you can make your own fresh waffle and top with cream and syrup (it was actually pretty good). Location is also very good - it is literally 2 mins (or less) away from Holborn station - quite central in London and can walk to Trafalgar Square in half an hour,Chinatown in 20min or seven dials in 10 mins.
Great location and ideal for business traveller”
citadines prestige holborn at covent garden london is a good hotel for business traveller. it is located next to mac donalds and just 1 minute walk from the holborn underground, making it ideally located. a short walk will bring you to covent garden. breakfast are not included but there are many nice cafe's next door or nearby.
Good service and location.”
this hotel located in the central of london, high holborn, which is convenience to both those who are here for business and traveling. the tube station is right in front of the hotel 2 minutes away and there are numerous different kind of restaurant to choose from around the area. high recommenced for business trip.
Feels like home, great location”
We arrived early and was able to check-in with the help of a pleasant front desk officer. He even provided us with a 'cheat sheet' which listed directions to major attractions and restaurants. Clean & comfy room with a small kitchenette, just like home. Hotel is also centrally located and very close to Holborn station (we arrived in London via Eurostar so it was a short ride from Kings Cross-St Pancras station to Holborn on the Piccadilly Line). Very pleasant stay overall.
Ideal accommodation”
I had a twelve day stay at Citadines at Holborn and it quickly became a home away from home. I would recommend it to anyone visiting London on either business or pleasure.
