Although nothing spectacular, it’s fair enough for the price. Generally clean and neat, well laid out floor plan in our room, pleasant ambience. So, just a few things, like shower head that had a mind of its own, shooting water more horizontally as pressure was increased (!), mould in silicone around bathroom vanity. Not a great deal of traffic noise, which made for a good sleep, as did the (sizeable) bed, which was quite firm and to our liking. It’s the sort of place that on the good side does some nice touches like complimentary water, but only provides body wash and shampoo, not conditioner. We found it very handy walking distance to the sights we were interested in. Really nice staff as well.

Stayed here for 2 days. From check in to check out, it was hassle free. Breakfast was good. Location is at the center. Just a walking distance to malls and tye benh tanh market. So many restos, food stalls and convenience stores nearby. You will never get hungry. The highlight of this trip are the staffs. Staff at breakfast was polite same as the cleaners. Phung (mid shift staff on entrance 3pm to 10pm) was very heplful and accomodating. He speaks good english too. He was always smiling and ready to answer all inquiries. So helpful too. The night shift staff, tai (10pm to 6am) was also accomodating. Despite the language barrier, he was able to show us how kind and respectul viet people are. If you would be able to stay at this place, have a can of beer or more at the small store beside calista at night while people watching. Had a blast with both the owners drinking beers with us. Despite the language barrier. Enjoy your stay here.

If your looking for a boutique style hotel than I recommend here. Prices are affordable and location is walking distance to a lot of attractions. Staff have always been really friendly to me, the breakfast buffet is ok but all in all for the money it’s great value considering the rooms are clean, it’s location and friendly staff. Only issues I had was getting the tv to work but staff helped fixed it and with only one elevator can be a long wait or often full especially during check in and check out times.
Best hotel in District 1”
Calista hotel is 21 KM away from the airport. It is located at the heart of District 1. Everything is at walking distance of 1-3 km. The staff is very kind and polite. You can get an early checkin max by 11 AM. We reached the hotel at 9 AM and dropped our luggage and came back for an early checkin. The checkin time usually in Vietnam is 2 PM. The breakfast buffet was also very good. Many options for vegans and meat lovers. Also at the lobby they serve free ice peach tea - much needed on the tropical environment. Overall the stay was very comfortable as we got a city view hotel at 7th floor. There are 9 floors and the 10th floor is for breakfast and other recreational activities.

I stayed in a junior suite. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. The front desk has English speaking staff and there was usually a doorman. Housekeeping did excellent work doing their job. The windows and curtains were dirty, but aim guessing these are not part of regular housekeeping tasks. The free breakfast was better than I expected and I was full every morning. Very good location in district 1.
