“Good with some small issues”
This is one of three hotels I stayed at in NYC on this trip and the internet speed here is by far the best. I moved to a five staff 5th Avenue hotel which cost three times as much and the internet was horrid. The area is super busy, but that also means it’s a great base to go every where bc you’ve got access to so many different subway lines. The downside for me was some small teething issues. My phone didn’t work so when I called staff they couldn’t hear me. An engineer was promised four times throughout the week I was there, but it never got fixed. The other issue I had was with cleaning. Cleaning is set for every three days and you can elect to have more days added if you’re so inclined. I put in a request after two days through their iPad. No cleaning happened at all. Why do they enable this option if they can’t service it? I was more prepared after my clean so managed things to get through the three days. On my actual scheduled day, I called down and told them how long I’d be out and that I needed a clean before 4pm. Despite the phone issue, the message got across. Got home at 4pm and nothing had happened. I had a dinner I needed to prepare for and could not shower or do anything. Someone was sent immediately to clean but disappointing that on my scheduled day this could not even happen by 4pm which is a reasonable expectation.
