City Central Inn Yangon”

We stayed for 4 nights in this hotel and are very please with our choice. It's a good value for money hotel, 9 storey high. Great location in downtown Yangon , within walking distance to Chinatown , close to busy downtown areas with many shopping and eating places, many bus stops for city buses and airport buses close-by. Yet it is far enough to avoid all the noises of the central areas (about 7 streets away for Chinatown). Breakfast was adequate and good , at the top 9th floor terrace of the building overlooking the downtown areas upto Sule and Shwedaggon Pagodas. Staff are very help and polite. Definitely will recommend to others. John

Exceptional hotel for its price”

I reached the hotel at early morning after my 8 hours bus trip from Bagan to Yangon downtown. The hotel management allowed us to check in early as our room was ready. They also allowed us to enjoy the breakfast one day earlier as we will be checking out the next day before the breakfast is served. The hotel room was clean and having a rooftop to see the view of Yangon is a bonus. On that day, I was having fever. The hotel crew helped us to order porridge for both dinner and lunch. As the kitchen will not be operating at night, they even reserved and heated the porridge for our dinner. They even helped us to purchase medicine. Thank you so much for the kindness and great service. You guys deserve more than 5 stars!

Pleasant stay in this new hotel”

This hotel is brand new, therefore everything is still clean and in a very good condition. Very nice is the breakfast restaurant on the roof, where you can overview downtown. Don't forget to ask for multiple items if there is no buffet because of few guests. They might want to give you just 1 item from their menu. Be aware that some standard rooms have no window and even some superior rooms also have no window. Make a note during your booking! All together I had a nice stay and it was worth the money, compared to other hotels in downtown Yangon.

Good new budget option in western part of Yangon downtown”

Close to Chinatown, a bit of a walk from central Yangon, but can take taxi or bus easily (slowly) from Sule pagoda. New hotel, very comfortable beds, rooms quite small, but comfortable, some rooms no window. Breakfast is buffet or by order from 9th floor with views over city.

Initially stayed for one night and i like the room, clean and no smell. Staff very helpful and i like the vermicelli noodle for breakfast. so i add one more night extra. Everything nearby and i walked all the way to Sule Pagoda, enjoying the local activities along the way. Then i took the bus to Swedagon Pagoda, thanks to the helpful staff at City Central Inn. On the way back i took a Grab taxi, cost me only 2,500 kyats.

Great hotel but not great manager !”

The hotel and the staff are very nice and convenient , but don't trust the manager ( the one who have is office in front of the toilets ) . We wanted to buy a JJ bus ticket to go to bagan , he told us that he checked from the company and that it was full for 5 days ! And the other bus company ( elite ) that we request don't do anymore the line yangon -bagan . Totally wrong !! We jumped in a taxi to go to the JJ bus ticket seller in front of the train station ! And of course we got the 2 ticket for the day we wanted to leave ! What a surprise to see when we were back to the hotel that the manager had prepared 2 bus tickets from his own choice !! I suppose that it was the reason that he changed the price that we had deal for the late check out 2 days later ! Anyway , nice new hotel , reception and HK staff !!

Solid, good value option in Chinatown”

This hotel is well placed just outside the busy part of Chinatown. Between walking, using the nearby train and cheap taxis through Uber and Grab, I was able to get anywhere I wanted to easily. The bed in the room was amazing and the sitting area with TV was great for relaxing in the middle of Yangon’s hot days. Bear in mind that I rented the family room, so other rooms may be smaller and have no sitting area. The free breakfast each day was either buffet-style or cooked to order from a set selection, and was enjoyable. The view from the top of the building over Yangon was definitely a plus. The staff are very helpful and friendly, but have limited English and their proficiency ranges from good to non-existent. There’s usually someone available to answer your enquiry though. There were a couple of ants in the room each day and the shower was weird (separate shower heads for hot and cold water, which didn’t really work). All in all, a solid hotel and I would come back here.

Centralize location, excellent staff, noise from street (minimal)”

It's located in the middle of downtown, very convenient location, Junction Mawtin mall is stone throw away. Staff is excellent, it's located in an alley, next to a cinema, very active at night on the street, so for female solo traveller you just gotta take note like anywhere else, but other than that it's pretty safe. Hotel wise, cleanliness could be better, staff is EXCELLENT, breakfast is by set-breakfast maybe due to low-season, it's doable if you're a small eater. Anyway there's ample of restaurant just around the corner. To shwedagon around 15mins. Sule maybe 10mins, traffic is always bad but since it's in the middle of the city it's as good as it can be. The noise from the street is just bearable, as I'm a light sleeper, I find it a little noisy. But the staff ensure my stay is as comfortable as I can be. On departure day, do ask the staff to assist you with cab.

Very good”

Staff is very helpful and accomodative to early check in and late check out (could be low season). WiFi is more than satisfactory. I guess I need to remember this is Yangon and not say harsh things about the surrounding environment. Only big miss is that the elevator does not go all the way down to the lobby level. But I don't mind walking up stairs to the second floor. Breakfast menu while not expansive appears to be made with high quality food items.

Very good value for a budget hotel”

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast pretty good for a budget hotel in Myanmar - they were also very good about preparing a breakfast box when I had to leave in the early morning. The place felt new and well maintained. There was a slight design fault in the bathroom - but they had already provided a solution - ie a towel to prevent shower water potentially dropping into the room. Good location. Rooms a bit on the small side, but fine for the price.

Great local location and helpful staff”

Room size satisfactory with large bed but one side against wall as other side next to door to room. OK for Reception very good, responsive and fast to act. Same with house keeping. TV choice in English and clear only 3 which reception had to choose base on guest request therefore everyone has to settle for decision made by them. So I had choice of sports (not a fan), CNN or BBC (which I had to keep requesting) and movie either in English or foreign with only local subtitle. Breakfast was one choice on menu and two days small buffet. Noise outside room - intermittent beeping, according to reception due to fire sensor/alarm (?) which cannot be silent and not due to any fault?? Requested wake up call never happened and I reported this to reception with apology given. Hotel arranged taxi to airport for 8000k was hail from street and taxi inside dusty and old. Wonder how safe taxis are. Probably as good and cheaper to hail and choose taxi on main road very nearby or use apps to book one.

OK stay for 3 days”

Stayed here for 3 nights in Jan. 2019. First, the pros: hotel location is not directly on the busy street, so there isn't much road noise, but you can hear a little. The WiFi works OK, good for e-mail, but not streaming video, etc. Electricity is good (only one power outage in the 72 hours) and the A/C worked well. Staff spoke English and was helpful when asked about taxis or buses. Shower had hot water, soap/shampoo combo provided. Cons: Biggest problem was mosquitoes. I killed 9 on the first night (my new record!) and fortunately brought a mosquito net. I understand it is SE Asia, but this was extreme compared to other places I have stayed. Room was small, but functional for 1 or 2 people. The 6am-10am breakfast is very average, appropriate for a budget stay.

Overpriced for what you get.”

Strange hotel. As usual the staff were very pleasant and helpful, but the room was cramped with dark film over the tiny window. The bathroom floor was so slippery I nearly fell a couple of times just moving from the shower to the door. Breakfast was a bit of a joke - I was told I couldn't have both juice and coffee and it was very meager. But the weirdest thing was the plaque in the bedroom that said "No pornography, gambling or drugs".
