The staff were so friendly and helpful much thanks to Mr. Ahmed Al Omairi. Cleanliness, food and other hotel facilities are great. Definitely I would recommend City Hotel for stay.

Lovely hotel with exceptional staff members”
We stayed in this hotel on our return journey from Salalah. Raju Chef, Chandra Shekhar (bar) and Shekhar (restaurant) are exemplary staff members who went out of their way to make customer service experience exceptional. They took care of all our needs just like a family member would do. It felt like going home! The food was incredibly good, the biryanis definitely were one of the best we had. The room was good and with a complimentary extra bed made it very comfortable. We had an overnight stay and with courtesy of Raju chef, Chandra Shekhar and Shekhar, it was a memorable stay. Thank you for treating us like family and particularly taking care of the needs of the children!

Recommended in Duqm”
Nice and friendly Staff. Breakfast was delicious. Rooms where clean and comfort , but no sandals in bathroom. We had little problem at checkout , there was a big crane blocks the only exit for the hotel for some work ,then we have to wait for about an hour!!!

Do not stay if more than 2 people MAX”
The room is only suitable for 2 people MAX. Even though we were able to book for 4 people. We arrived at 10.15pm, they said that we only booked for 2 adults even though we definitely booked for 2 adults and 2 children, this was also shown on their copy of the booking. The check in person was not respectful or apologetic at all. Instead he insisted we did not request for children, and that it was our problem. He said we could pay extra for a family room. I told him that since it was the hotels mistake they should accommodate us especially since we arrived late at night only for 1 night. But he showed us a room and said we could have 1 extra bed. I said we needed 2 extra but there was no space. I asked to speak to the manager but was told he was sleeping. They gave 1 extra bed but it was so hard that instead 2 of us chose to make a makeshift bed on the floor using the bedding. Room is small but clean. The other beds were VERY HARD and uncomfortable causing back ache.

Stopover Duqm”
On our trip from Salalah to Muscat we had also a stopover in Duqm. Very good option to avoid the beach hotels with higher prices. Don´t miss the rock garden during sunset time - just a 5 min drive from the hotel. Spectacular! The position of the hotel is not correct on the agoda-map, so we had to go around a little bit to find it (in fact it´s about 750m east)

Well, there are not many options in the Duqm City so far. If you are single traveler, I would suggest to stay with City Duqm. The room was clean and the staff is helpful.

Stopover Duqm”
Coming back to Duqm for a stopover on the coastal road, we had a family room with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathromms and another toilet in perfect condition. The restaurant offers a very good choice with food in high quality and was great after all this chicken biryiani in the small villages during our roadtrip. Staff at reception was so friendly

Good and sufficient”
This is pobably the cheapest option available at Duqm for now, located in the city unlike the other options that are by the coast line. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Breakfast option was also not too bad.

Lovely hotel with helpful staff”
This hotel is lovely, very clean and superbly presented. It is located in the centre of town, such as it is, and has very beautiful rooms. In deed the whole place is beautiful. The food is really good and they run an all inclusive buffet which is high quality and good value and the restaurant staff are justifiably proud of it. Similarly breakfast was excellent. Yes I'd happily recommend this place.

Wrong Hotel?”
It's not in any city unless that city happens to be called 'Bedrock', there are no taxis so you can't explore anywhere "conveniently", and the only time that it could be described as being "vibrant" would be during an earthquake! There's no pool to cool off in, no gardens to sit in and there's nowhere nice to walk to! The rooms are very boxy & basic and a bit depressing, the bathroom had a sewerage smell and there were stains on the carpet. When we complained the staff were as helpful and apologetic as could be expected, they showed us to another room on second floor which had same awful smell more stains on carpet and absolutely no view whatsoever... but we still accepted it because, 1. we couldn't get a refund by that stage, and 2. all of the rooms seem exactly the same!! The hotel was almost deserted too despite this website telling us that just "one or 2 rooms left!", and we saw just 2 other vehicles in the entire car park. We didn't bother getting an evening meal that night as we felt ripped-off and didn't want to add further disappointment, although the breakfast was ok and is included. Overall, the City Hotel Duqm is just 'ok', probably good for the surveyors or construction workers passing through, but too expensive and lacking ANY interesting or leisure worthy features for the price for tourists. If it was half the room rate then I would have given it a 'Good' rating. But my advice for travellers is to pay a bit more and stay at the fancier big name hotels in the area.

Overpriced hotel”
It’s overpriced hotel room, pay 100 USD to stay in this such a room, it’s super expensive but there is not much choices of the hotel in Duqm to stay 1 night, it’s just ok.

It was a good experince to stay in City Hotel”
Facilities are very few in and around the hotel. No swimmig pool and the gem was very small with hand count machines but generaly it was a good stay.

it was a good experiment but the hotel has no swimming pool and the breakfast wasn't including many things to choose from but in general it was clean and good to stay.
