Addis Ababa hotels & accommodations

Initial suite was unavailable, so they tried to downgrade my friend and I. Then they tried to move us into one suite. Both times not offering any refund or discount. One room ended up having very wet carpet and smelt terrible. So many things within the rooms not working. Every order of food took a really long time and was poor quality. Staff didn't take responsibility ...

Room was neat and had ample space. No air-conditioning in the hotel but Addis Ababa is cool all year round. Bathroom is usable. Good supply of hot water. Breakfast was good. Quite a wide selection of pastries, fruit, hot dishes, and cold cuts. Front desk, wait staff, and housekeeping staff were all very polite and professional. WiFi is fast in both the lobby and roo...

Staff that was there was great! I had an issue with my phone charger and they helped me take care of it right away even though it was VERY late at night. My bed was comfortable for the one night that I was there. Wish I could have stayed for breakfast to check that out - had to leave early in the morning.

I was in Addis Ababa last week to see a couple of patients and then mainly as a tourist. I selected the Hilton Addis Ababa over my favorite Radisson because of the special offer from Agoda. My initial interaction at the front-office was below expectations. It took the front-office 25 minutes for my Check-in! Everything moves at snail's pace although the staff is very f...

Good value for the price and a good location for the visitor to Addis Ababa. Short drive to the Airport and in the middle of many restaurants and bars. The breakfast buffet is excellent and a mix of Ethiopian and western options. The staff are very friendly and helpful. As a bonus, Café Rigel, directly across the street has the best lattes I have ever had.

The positives first: good infrastructure (building, rooms, backup generator) and fairly good location, quired. But. Bad management. Bad experience from pickup at the airport to checkout. Airport transfer - advised driver would wait inside the terminal - no he didn't. Website advises buffet breakfats and free wifi. Day 1 no no buffet - advised this is only done between ...

I traveled to Addis Ababa for day visit. The hotel, the employees or staff were great …. Excellent. The restaurant food was delicious. Very quiet hotel, had a great view of the city and quick access to the markets. I will return and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had a really pleasant stay at Melala B&B, the people were really nice. They came to pick us up at the airport late at night (for free!) and helped us with all the information we needed. The B&B is clean, the room big and nice, in a small street that is not to busy. It's a quiet place to relax at the beginning or the end of your Ethiopian trip.

I had a good time here, it is close to many interesting places for Addis night life. Best place to stay for making it to the airport on time. The owner "Abbi" is a great help, he drove me around town for free to help me arrange tours. He even helped push down the tour prices, Really Appreciate it, thanks again Abbi. Very much want to return.

My stay was pretty good at this hotel... I got in kinda late and the room I had reserved wasnt available.... So they put me in a room for a night and i received correct room next morning.... The staff was very nice and helped me with hdirections and sight seeing... There was no A/C in this hotel but i think a lot of hotel in the area dont have A/C... but i was never un...

Good hotel for the price, given that everything else in Addis is over priced. One caveat, hotel is next door to a large Mosque so, depending upon the Muezzen, you get melody or malady at 5 AM. Close enough to the Taitu Hotel and the Piazza that with a couple blocks of walking you are where you need to be for either business, museums, or some good restaurants. Very odd ...

Hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Airport shuttle is probably the only plus - when the staff are willing to offer it. We stayed at the hotel twice and got the complementary airport shuttle 3 times (both ways to and from airport the first time and from airport the 2nd stay) but the front desk somehow decided to change their mind about offering us the airport shuttle to...

I have stayed in lots of hotels in Ethiopia and in Addis in particular. I have just booked my 4th stay at the Kaleb Hotel. I have found the staff there to be excellent and attentive. The hotel is new, rooms are very specious and clean. The restaurant in the hotel is very good. The hotel is located in the modern area of Addis, close to many shopping centers, restaurants and bars. The hotel is 5-10 minutes drive from the airport. The staff and management of the hotel are very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the Wudasie Castle hotel.

I had an 18-hour layover in Addis and decided to venture out into the city. Reserving a room to get a little rest and to shower before my lengthy flight home seemed like a good idea. I read a great review about the Caravan Hotel in my guide book. After searching a little, I decided to secure a reservation. I think my stay there was the highlight of my visit! The f...

Kefetew Guesthouse is absolutely one of the best places I've ever stayed! Genet, the owner and host, is incredibly hospitable and kind. Great place and wonderful staff, but avoid the top level - there's a club right above with very loud music - the bed head was literally shaking from the music. Guests should not be put on the top level considering the music. Otherwise, super friendly staff and comfortable place in a good location.

Great city where people are very affable and friendly. the culture is is moderately friendly. one can comfortably spend 4 to 7 days pleasantly.
