Best hotels & accommodations in Adelaide

I had a good two-night stay at Sage. It's location on the South Terrace is a bit away from the main CBD area (which is near North Terrace), but the tram is closeby. Plus, it is a main hotel in Adelaide so tour operators can pick you up from this hotel. So, it depends on what you intend to do in Adelaide, as it's fairly quiet no matter if you're on South Terrace or Nort...

When searching for a hotel in Adelaide city centre for the first few days of our year trip around the world we wanted somewhere clean, comfortable and friendly with all the amenities needed to get over our jet lag and this hotel came up as the highest rated even though not the most expensive luckily! All hotel staff made us feel so welcome, we were worried arriving in ...

Unfortunately when we arrived, it was during the LARGE storm Adelaide was having and the power was out! The staff still accommodated for us, helped us out and gave us recommendations of a place that was open for Dinner. Would definitely stay here again, hopefully not in a storm!

We enjoyed the central location of this apartment, within easy walking distance of Rundle Mall, the Glenelg tram, a supermarket and Adelaide Markets. The apartment's size was generous and it was well-appointed with all the necessary crockery and cutlery available to use in self-catering. The reception staff were friendly and helpful in booking a taxi to Adelaide Airpor...

I put it down to my age, I had booked an alternative hotel for my stay in Adelaide which was to visit family in Gawler. I had accidentally booked 1 day less than I needed so booked Chifley at the last minute. I wished I had booked my whole stay here. The check-in was flawless with a very friendly welcome. The room wasn't available for a few hours but the receptioni...

Our stay at the Watson was the BEST ever. I am pretty sure this is gonna become our family hotel if we have stay in Adelaide. We got a free upgrade to 2 bed room suite as it was available. With a toddler it made a world of differnece. To put in a nut shell, it was truly taking our home to a hotel.

We were delighted with the facilities and beauty of Unit P1503. Upon opening the front door you are met with a large unit with views overlooking Light Square and beyond. A very conveinant location to Adelaide; tram, free bus and China town. Lovely hot shower and comfortable bed and we could sleep with the balcony door open. Upon a return trip to Adelaide we would not h...

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Ibis Adelaide Hotel. The location was fantastic with a short walk through to Rundle Mall. Hotel is close by main tram line which runs down to Glenelg. Plenty of eateries close by to choose from. Staff on front counter very friendly. Room was neat, clean and tidy. Breakfast was very good with many options to choose from. I look forwar...

The first time I stayed with the Pullman in Adelaide, one of their staff members went over and above to make me feel very welcomed and valued. As a result I now stay there on every visit (at least once a month) and I have a hassle free and very comfortable stay each time.

This is by far the best hotel in Adelaide CBD, nobody else has bathrooms like yours. Baths seem to be a dying item in rooms who's name dictates there should be one "Bathroom", please never get rid of yours. We have been staying here for years but have also tried most of the other hotels in the city, always come back to this one as our favourite. When bringing friends i...

Good stay in a great hotel. We were a group of 3 guys in Adelaide for the weekend and this apartment was exactly what we were after. Fully equipped kitchen really helped. One issue was that we had booked a spot in the car park and upon returning from McLaren Vale on a Saturday afternoon, there were no available car spots, as someone had taken ours. We had to wait arou...

The best i stayed in Adelaide, hotel room with full amenities, full kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, heater, everything in the room. Walking distance to beach, nice view here, walking distance to the street full of food and bar, and also tram station

Miller Appartments: top marks for location and space. The configuration of our Appartments was such that the bedroom was fairly small but the sitting area with the adjacent simple kitchen are fairly large. The bathroom is also a bit small. I wouldn't say the place has lots of character but it's very comfortable and its location right downtown on Hindley street make...

A prominent Hotel on the corner of West/South Tce overlooking Parklands in Adelaide, South Australia. The entrance is only accessible by travelling south along West Tce. It has a small but secure Car Park with direct Hotel entry. Guests are treated to a sixth floor Bar and Restaurant, (dinner service only) plus Gym, Swimming Pool and Spa all with great views. The Bar...

I arrived very early after an international flight and was made to feel very welcome by Michelle who arranged a room for me as soon as she could. The rooms are surprisingly big and the bathrooms are generous and well maintained. The coffee hut out the front is fabulous and the restaurant on the first floor is definitely worth a visit. This will be my go to hotel in Ade...

I , my wife and my little daughter had a great stay at this hotel in Adelaide We checked in on 29 July and checked out on 31st july 2014. Location of this Hotel is superb , so near to Rundle mall and easily catch a Tram to Lovely Glenelg Beach. Definitely we will be considering to stay in this hotel again And no hesitate to recommend to our friends. Keep it up and all ...

A basic hotel but just what we needed to spend our first 4 nights in Adelaide ever in. Myself and my two sons came over from Canberra to see the Socceroos which we thoroughly enjoyed. One bus around the corner from the hotel got us direct into the city and a very easy city to explore and get around. Great value for money and location plus! Hyde Park also offers a great...

One of the newest hotels in Adelaide. Everything was new, so it's hard to be negative on the cleanliness and quality of the amenities. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was adequate. Location was the biggest plus, however i feel that raised the price a little. Not bad. Would recommend at this point in time.

I have stayed there a few times, I like the place and have seen it grown over the 20 plus years from a small caravan park to how it is now. I use to walk through it to get to the beach many years ago. I will use your establishment for as long as I am travelling through Adelaide.

My stay at BreakFree was excellent. It is convenient, about a 10-15 minute walk from Rundle Mall, less than 5 minute walk to the free shuttle bus stop and tram stop. The cab fare from Adelaide Airport to the hotel is about A$20. The location of the hotel was very peaceful and serene. The free wifi and computer connected to printers at the hotel lobby are particularly u...

Nice room, I will return This is the first time I visit Adelaide and try to find the hotel which is not too far from CBD and located in quiet area. I recommend this Oaks Horizon. You can have a quiet night while it is only 5 mins walk to Rundle mall. The room is better than I expect for what I paid for. I stayed in one bedroom apartment equipped with everything you ne...

My wife & I spent a few days in the Adelaide Hills, based in Hahndorf. What irked us somewhat was the requirement to wash our dishes in the bathroom sink. This is where people wash their toilet hands, spit/clean teeth, & other general ablution type tasks. Toilets also splash up to 2 meters when flushed, if the lid is not down. Hence a bathroom is not necessarily a clea...

Adelaide Granada Motor Inn is a nice & cozy motel. We got a huge room with a king & single beds during our stay although there's only 2 of us. There are more than sufficient coffee & tea provided in the room. Unlike most hotels, only 2 packs each provided. The internet access in the room is fast & free. It is easily access by car. Money worth motel. Specially the owner...

Fantastic location in North Adelaide close to the new Adelaide Oval, restaurants and lovely shops of North Adelaide. We booked the three bedroom apartment. Beds were comfy and all linen really clean. My only negatives and this was because I was travelling with my 76 year old mum, was the shower being over the bath and it's a bit of an effort getting up and down the sta...

The stay at the Playford was fantastic. I travel with my partner to Adelaide regularly and this is by far our most favorite hotel in Adelaide. This is the second time that I have stayed here, the first being in a north facing spa room and the second in a loft suite. Both rooms had their benefits, but I enjoyed the north facing spa room just a little more. (The balcony ...

Our room was clean and tidy and the beds were super comfortable. It was very well equipped with plates, bowls, proper sized mugs, cutlery, toaster, and microwave which you rarely find in a motel room - and of course the standard kettle, hair dryer etc. Graham at the front desk was really friendly and helpful - going as far as supplying me with cleaning products to clea...
Cheapest hotels in Adelaide

The best backpackers hostel in Adelaide. I’ve stayed in three other hostels when flying into Adelaide on business and Tequila Sunrise has the best service, facilities and provides great meals at specified times, bringing everyone together to share their travel experiences.

All staff I met were super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable of stuff in the area. Location is 15 minute walk from centre of Adelaide but right next to all the beautiful parks. Gary upgraded me from a dorm bed to a private room on the first night, as I’d booked it for the following night and the room was empty. This was really generous and thoughtful of him. Clean, ...

I stayed at YHA Central Adelaide twice and can highly recommend this hostel to other travelers. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, great security, located centrally, free long term storage, and daily special events. The staff is very helpful and friendly. You won't be disappointed by the level of comfort and the location of this hostel. Ago...

Air conditioner is in urgent need or a service in room 5 in the guest house. Had caked dust rain on the bed. A pedestal fan would've make it much more comfortable. Informing guests of the need to supply their own towels during booking would have been handy, fortunately I had one in the car that my partner and I shared. Communal fridge needs a good clean/ wash out. ...

To be honest this is my first time to live in backpacker hostel, and that was fantastic. OZ is quite small, but everyone here is nice, especially stuffs, they are really kind, and concern everything about customers. Another things, free breakfast is awesome, free Tuesday BBQ dinner is awesome, free internet everywhere and free pool table are awesome... I booked a priva...

You can't beat the location of this hotel. It is right in the centre of Adelaide, opposite Central Market (great place for breakfast and lunch btw) and walking distance from all the city sights. Metropolitan Hotel is an old Victorian style hotel situated just above a busy and atmospheric pub. The hotel has a real character. Rooms are a bit rundown but clean (although r...

i chose to stay here on the way through adelaide with a really really early morning flight the following day. it is 10 mins from the airport. the staff are super friendly and helpful and the pub is really cool. it’s on a main road with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. it’s a short walk to Rundall mall and bus stops are nearby if you’re not up to walk a couple of...

Hot water gone very fast for showering(approx 5mins). We enjoy the nice refreshing showering in May (12 degree outside) The Room is really Nice. But you need to walk 7mins to find the room key from the quiet alley. No lift, only stairs so not really suit for elderly or disable.

We booked a room for 3 days at ACP Motel, Location is in the south eastern corner of the Adelaide CBD, which is relatively quiet part of town. There are a few places to eat and drink in walking distance close by, but that's about. Plenty of parkland across the road. Motel parking is available for $20 a night with a limited number of spots, otherwise it's street parkin...

Would have paid double. Efficient check in, very friendly staff and surrounded by stunning nature. 15 minutes drive to town or 25 minutes by bus, 10 minute walk to bus stop. Cabin has everything you need to create and enjoy a home. Quiet, peaceful, clean surroundings and camp kitchen 10/10. Looking forward to next stay.

The hotel was fantastic as the room (306) was very spacious but it lacked a chair. Had to use my laptop sitting on the bed. My room was on Bank St and Friday and Saturday night (24-25th Aug 2018) was very noisy. There were a lot of fights and people screaming. The Adelaide railway station and casino is only a 3 min walk. Rundle Mall is about 4-5. There are 2 tram stops...

Arrived into adelaide late and was booked in at another hotel that was not willing to put us up in there hotel for the night so we looked around found this place and actually good value if you ask me we cancelled our booking with other place and booked here again for another night even saved $280 in doing so. Great customers services we stayed in the deluxe modern side...

My 4 day stay at motel was most pleasant. The room was spacious and most comfortable. It was well furnished with very comfortable bed, table, desk as well as a comfotable arm chair. The television was modern and a good size. The room was serviced daily, very clean , fresh towels daily, Good supply of tea/coffee etc. toaster ,micro wave everything to make stay pleasant....

Cheap accommodation near the center of Adelaide. Good size room and location which is not far from CBD,big park straight cross the road. Good to access everywhere we want to go. Restaurants are around the corner for you to choose. Personally I love the Thai Chef restaurant there, they have beautiful food come with big portion, really value for money as well. The accommo...

Good 3 star accommodation at a great price, location is superb, rooms are clean and adequate and staff are extremely helpful. The food in the Pub is of a decent standard and the bonus of 25% off all food and drink was a very generous bonus We will certainly use this venue when we come back to Adelaide and have no hesitation in a reccommendation

Mercure Grosvenor Hotel Adelaide is a historic hotel and an ideal place to enjoy friendly services and quality accommodation, while in the city of Adelaide. Its location offers the convenience to visit the city attractions such as Skycity Adelaide, Parliament House, North Terrace and South Australia Museum.

We were so impressed with nightcap at Finsbury, the rooms are a little small but absolutely spotless,so clean. Bed was so comfortable (better than my own bed), although bistro and gaming machines on ground floor didn't hear a thing, so quiet. Complimentary continental breakfast each day was great and 25% off bistro meals as we were staying there was so good and afforda...

Great stay at this older style Hotel with charecter. I fly to Adelaide once a month for business and generally stay in CBD. I took a punt on this north Adelaide hotel and it was great value for money and location is fantastic in both morning and afternoon peak to get in and out of. Rooms are fine as too was the bathroom. I would recommend to anyone to give it a go and ...

We wanted a romantic weekend away in the Adelaide Hills after a long year and a recent large project finishing. We stayed at The Haus Studio apartments as they were close to shopping, great restaurants and wineries. The rooms were spacious, clean and perfect for a couple of nights. We loved it and are keen to go back again

It was marvelous. I have stayed in this hotel 2 years ago during my last visit in Adelaide. It has improved tremendously in term of service and good housekeeping. I was greatly impressed by the good gesture of Ms Karen on arrival at the reception. I was exhausted and sleepy after a long flight from Kuala Lumpur arriving Adelaide very early dawn. staff could understand ...

Wonderful stay at the Ensenada, I have walked past this Motor Inn on many trips to Adelaide believing inside would be dated and unsatisfactory. Wow was I surprised! While still needing a little modernising inside, and definately outside, I was so impressed by the service from staff and the ease of catering to our needs. I will be looking to stay here again and again...

The hotel was booked last minute on a Saturday. The available room was very comfortable, large and had 2 x TVs available. Very clean room with a nice queen size bed. The hotel is in the NW part of Adelaide CBD and all venues are in walking distance to Chinatown, restaurants and clubs. Staff was friendly and check in / out was a breeze.

After an 8-hour drive from Melbourne, this place felt very welcoming. The lady at the front was helpful, answering our queries and giving us tips to make the most of our short visit. We were glad we could relax after doing our long day trips within Adelaide and surrounds, and return to a clean and comfortable room. The room was a good size for a family of four. The kid...

The stay was wonderful. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment instead of a1 bedroom apartment. The rooms were large and comfortable, the bathroom was big and clean and the living room and kitchen was big open and light filled oh and it even had a good sized balcony. The balcony was missing furniture however but I assume its on the way as they only just opened. Th...

We travelled as a group from QLD, Vic and New Zealand for the day/night test match, and while other hotels had drastically inflated their prices, the Mantra on Frome was still great value. We had a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 queen beds, but they moved us to a 3 bed configuration when it became available. The service and location was great, and it made our visit to Adel...

I stayed at this apartment with a girl friend for 4 nights. We wanted to be central to everything as it was our first time to Adelaide. We found it was cheaper to book with Agoda and paid $118 per night. From the airport we caught the J1 bus to Currie Street for $2.50. Then had less than a 5 minute walk to Quest. The markets were 10-15 mins walk from the apartment and...

I stayed at the motel for a week and from the moment I arrived I felt happy and pleased with my choice to stay in Port Noarlunga in this lovely , clean and well located and well organized motel. It's only a short walk down to the beautiful beach and local shops and bars. I had a fantastic time and staying at the motel made my trip perfect. The owners are so friendly ...

Found the place by complete accident and glad I did, very central location, great restaurants and bars withing easy walking distance. Bella was brilliant, very friendly and organised. Room was far better than i expected for the money. I will be booking again when next in Adelaide.

We did not realise we had to book parking before we arrived so we were assigned a room without parking off street. We had to park on the street and incur parking meter costs plus risk of parking fines if we didn't keep up with parking meters. Very inconvenient, but, as pointed out by the staff on many occasions our own fault for not booking parking in advance. (We did ...

The apartment was clean and nicely decorated, with a fully equipped kitchen. Location was fine too as it was quiet and close to the airport. However there wasn't much customer support. We booked it via agoda about 1 month in advance, but there was no instruction on how to check until the day of booking where we received an SMS with the PIN for the apartment. I think ...

Greeted by lovely person at Valet parking ($40 a day) Impressive foyer, grandeur you would expect from an older hotel. Mt lofty House is a beautiful older style establishment in a location that gives you access to the City of Adelaide , the local Adelaide Hills and other attractions reasonably close by.. Food and service is first class but new entrants should be wary as to location of room. Overall I/we recommend MLHse to a degree of satisfaction..

1) Bath room is dirty, you can see lots of hair on the bath area. 2) Room is dusty. Bed sheet is also dusty 3) Kitchen full of cob web and the exhaust fan is cover with thick layer of dusty I would not recommend anyone else to take. For the same fee, can get at reasonable room
Traveler impressions of Adelaide
Easy going, relaxing, vibrant, cultural, fun. So much to see & do in the CBD boundary as well as in close proximity.
Free CBD public transport, taxi drivers are non-communicative, tram to Glenelg is a must do. Jamie Oliver Italian restaurant is superb
My son and I travel to Adelaide to see hip hop bands there several times per year, the best venue is the Governor hotel in Hindmarsh, great venue and great value, the hip hop capital of Australia.
Adealide is a lovely city. Transport good, quite a few attractions within short distance of CBD. Worth a visit at any time.
Don't go to Sydney or Melbourne all the time. Try a relaxed atmosphere in Adelaide, South Australia.
a small town, relaxing place. Good places for sightseeing and shopping. Lots of buses heading out of town too.
Unlike Sydney or Melbourne,Adelaide is small but because it is the case it is charming and friendlier.
Adelaide ticks all the boxes not matter what your interests are there is always something to do or see.
Use the CBD as a place to stay but explore other places. it is worth to wake up early to start traveling so you get to spend more time in the place and have an early night.
Adelaide is an interesting city which is well designed and easy to navigate your way around. It has many beautifully restored old buildings that are located within the CBD and in surrounding suburbs.
Coming from Melbourne I was immediately surprised how much less frenetic the drivers are in Adelaide.
Seaside is attractive even in the winter chill. The wineries in the Barossa, Mclaren Vale and The Hills are all easily acessible on day trips.
A relaxing lay back place, not too much traffic, except when there is a night football match, never have we seen so many bus's in one area.
The business and shopping activities centered at CBD which is rather small area. Most stores closes at 5pm except for supermarkets.
Great for city sports beaches trams train and bus travel and hire car travel access to airport and mountains etc
Australia's most graceful and comfortable city. Great options nearby for trips. Friendly and relaxed.
A fabulous city and surrounds. So much to see and do. Easy to get around. Free travel for seniors in the city Centre.
Its quite and nice city however every thing is closed at 5pm which some times you can't remember which can invite troubles for you.
Adelaide has free bus loops which is a very good way to see and stop at many sights. A must is to catch a tram to Glenelg, stunning beach.
I love Adelaide I have always lived in Adelaide we have a bit off everything lots of sports winter and summer most people are friendly our restrants are the best and there is so much too see.
An interesting place to retire given its weather and infrastructure, but will find it hard to beat Sydney and Melbourne on cultural and sporting activities.
It has fairly flat ly of the land so walking around the city is relatively easy. Streets are all easy to a chess.
Tram and bus network in the city and to glenelg make travel easy. City has retained it green country town charm.
Adelaide is my favourite Australian cities to live in, even though it is generally considered one of the "more boring" cities to visit.
Adelaide is a compact place that you can get around with ease. The free transport system is excellent & possible partly responsible for the hardly noticeable city peak hour congestion.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the selection and quality of conference venues. I would rename it the City of Conferences, rather than the City of Churches.
We enjoyed our stay at the IBIS HOTEL.The position is central, close to all attractions and transport.
Although it is quite small, it is very clean. The Glenelg beach is very lovely. It is very romantic to walk near the river at night.
Adelaide is a relatively small city laid out on a square grid, so it is easy to find your way around.
Beautiful and peaceful city, good weather in September. Kangaroo Island is a wonderful place to visit through Adelaide!!!
