"Having a car is best. Lots of free public carparking very close. Nice bar in the complex. The bathroom was a reasonable size but the toilet was located so that your legs were under the handbasin yet the bidet was well located - silly design. The bedroom was a reasonable size with an almost comfortable bed & pillows. The road noise and the ear piercing church bells (half hourly 8.30am to 11pm) were annoying if in a front roadside room. Although we asked for a rear room with the river noise, we were told that the front rooms would the quieter. We do not think that this is true. The rooms are not insulated so there is a lot of noise from the adjoining rooms. Andorra is a lovely place to visit. You can tour the entire country in 2 days easily with your own wheels. Even though it snowed heavily for one day out of the 5 that we were here in mid May, we loved it. Wine is cheaper in Spain but spirits are cheaper than we have encountered anywhere else in the world. The good shopping is close to the Spanish border in several big department stores. Most items are cheaper than anywhere else in Europe. The hotel has a lift, safe, small balcony, enough power outlets, bath & chairs. No airconditioner. Heating is turned on at the whim of the staff. Rooms are serviced daily. Pets are allowed in the rooms. The free internet is available in the room & is fast. "

Additionally, it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with local etiquette, such as greeting with a handshake and being polite in social settings.

Health and safety are also important considerations. The region is known for its low crime rates, making it a safe destination for travelers. However, it’s wise to have travel insurance that covers outdoor activities, especially if you plan to ski or hike. Finally, packing appropriately for the weather is crucial, as temperatures can vary significantly between seasons. Layered clothing is recommended for both winter sports and summer hikes, ensuring comfort no matter the activity.
