Where to stay in Atherton Tablelands
Atherton Tablelands hotels & accommodations

The place was exactly as we had hoped. Peaceful and Quiet. We had thought that we would see more wildlife than we did. We did find the place not as clean as we would have liked. I pushed the couch to look for something and it was extremely dirty underneath. The kitchen cupboards were also greasy I pulled everything out and cleaned it before we unpacked. When we booked ...

I stayed in the self-contained unit called Ulysses which was on ground level and I thought it was delightful. There were nice forest views from the windows and the Summit is in an idyllic setting with no near neighbours. There were lots of bird sounds to wake up to each morning. The unit itself was modern with all the appliances you would need to self cater if th...

Fantastic place, every possible thing has been thought of. Run by wonderful hosts who are very welcoming and then vanish into the background, leaving you to enjoy their wonderful slice of paradise in complete peace. Our only possible complaints are the outside light, which illuminated the tree tops very picturesquely, couldn't be turned off so that we could admire th...

Actually, in many ways this was good but the beds need to be upgraded. Also, I would never feel happy about having another person share the room next door that I didn't know. Sharing the kitchen is a puzzle because it is hard to know how that would be allocated. Kitchen with two small fridges and cooking facilities were minimal. There was only one bedside light for...

My wife and I stayed a night at the Atherton Motel on our visit to the Atherton Tablelands. We paid AUD$112 for a night with breakfast, and felt it was reasonable. The motel was a little dated, but the rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Parking was really convenient, just outside our room. The surroundings were spacious, and had great views of the rolling hills. ...

Walkway behind the complex and the outdoor entertainment area including free wine help to differentiate the Allumbah Pocket Cottages from the many, many offerings in and around the Atherton Tablelands. Recommended particulary for young and old book lovers who want a quit=et break.

Only stayed one night to attend a funeral, but the manager/ owner was very accommodating to let us and my brothers family have a late check out to get to the funeral from the holiday park. Very friendly. The unit was nice and easily fitted our family of five. The only down side was that the beds were a bit hard.

PROS - Great view, easy location, immaculate property, breakfast provisions generous and thoughtful, outdoor area lovely, spa awesome CONS - asked for twin beds, ended up with queen and unable to be rectified, great outdoor fire but no wood supplied, spa at 28 degrees still pretty cold

This is my second stay at Birds n Bloom Cottages. The first was 5 years ago. This time everything was exactly as it had been, which means that while the cottage was just as comfortable, things were a little more marked and worn. That said, on the initial visit it was the most spotless cottage I'd ever stayed in, so a few years and a change of management have simply tak...

My only gripe was that for $400+ per night, and as someone who hasn't wet the bed for about 47 years, I wasn't impressed with the hideous plastic mattress protector on the bed in the main bedroom. I understand the accommodation providers might feel the need for it, but they're not used on adult beds in most accommodation. If you really feel the need to put one on, ther...
