Famous nearby attractions are the Negros Museum, the Negros Showroom, the old Negros Provincial Capitol, the Negros Occidental Capitol Park and Lagoon and the Negros Forest and Ecological Foundation Inc. It's also readily accessible to Bacolod's famous gastronomic places such as Manokan Country, Bob's Restaurant, Pepe's Restaurant and Bar, Chicken Deli, and the heaven of cakes..Calea. It's also near Piazza Sorrento, where you can delight your night with a drink and good music. The hotel per se is a pleasant place to stay. They have spacious and very comfortable rooms. Staff always wear their smiles regardless of the time of the day. The Bacolod's way of life, sweetness and smiles, indeed extended by the hotel.

I booked a super deluxe room so we could have somewhere to stay after a friend's wedding. The hotel was a little underwhelming considering that it is considered the best in Bacolod. It's better than other good hotels though. It wasn't a quick check in. Although the receptionists were nice, there was no sense of urgency in them. If there was, then I did not sense it. But I was able to check in 2 hours early without any problems so that's good. The room was okay. The sheets were clean and there were good towels (the other hotels in Bacolod don't exactly have good towels). There was no view from the window. The bathroom was clean and room was the usual space. Bathroom amenities were good. It's along Lacson so access to convenience stores and restaurants outside is never a problem. Local calls were charged (other cheaper hotels in Bacolod don't charge for calls). Their free WiFi was good for 24 hours and for just one device. Their 24 hours free WiFi was not exactly 24 hours. We checked in 12pm and first logged in to their free WiFi shortly after. By 9am of the next day, it said our log in had already expired. Airconditioning was good. In the middle of the night, I got up to use the tub. At about 3am, water from the faucet turned black (must have been because of some valid reasons) so guests must watch out for that. It didn't last that long. Free breakfast was only good for one person although I booked for two. Finally check out was not that quick but again the receptionists were nice. The hotel is the usual hotel. It would have been better if the rooms cost less. I might try L Chalet the next time.

I like this hotel. The sheets and towels were clean and I think this is because the hotel is new. I hope they can maintain this so they'd be better than the other 3-star or even 4-star hotels in Bacolod. I always check the towels! I'm generally impressed. They have a bidet, which is not common in the Philippines. I'm always happily surprised when I see one. The maximum water temperature of the hot shower was not hot enough. It was the right temperature for me but I know there might be people who prefer a scalding hot shower. The lobby was nice and it was modern. I arrived at around 1:30pm but I was made to wait until close to 2pm before they could check me in - I understand this but this is not the usual practice of hotels in the Philippines, most would just accommodate you as soon as your room was available. I just noticed there was no visible security personnel in the middle of the night, but I hope there was one around. The walls were pretty thin. I can hear the tv on the next room, the banging of the doors in all the rooms in the hallway and the housekeeping people. There was complimentary water and coffee - something not very common in hotels in Bacolod. I didn't get to eat the breakfast because I woke up late. I would recommend this hotel. Cheaper, better and cleaner than most.

I've stayed at a lot of hotels in Bacolod in this price range, always looking for the fastest internet and a clean room. The Inns has very fast pretty solid internet, 8-12 Mbps as I measured. Most other hotels (and homes) provide 1 Mbps only. The rooms are very nice, big, complete and clean. Big closets, large and small desk, big bath with a very hot shower (wait a half minute...). The staff is so nice! They are very attentive, responded to every request I had very quick. Bring breakfast to the room on time. Smile when I break a dish. The place is very clean, not run down like most Bacolod (and Philippine) hotels. The beds are very comfy. The room is large and the TV huge (42"?). Strong aircon, nice view (not looking at an alley), freezing cold fridge. The restaurant is great, breakfast is typical, but a nice big bangus, fried egg and garlic rice. Sunday has a buffet. Location is great too! SM Mall right around the corner, a park in the plaza a block in the other direction, a little bit noisy because it's on a main street, but better than most other hotels. Complaints? If there was a gym I might live here (thus 4 out 5 stars for the facilities). I'm not a huge fan of the peso-for-this peso-for-that approach of the hotel (pay extra for an iron and anything else - so 4 out of 5 for value) but realistically, it saves me money and I'd rather not see things wasted like they are in other hotels.

I booked a deluxe room online. They offer a special rate when you book online. I think the room rates are reasonable especially for a solo traveler like me. My overall experience with this hotel, from the way they handle my reservation and requests up to checking-out, is very satisfactory. The hotel staff are courteous. I am delighted that they accommodated my request for an early check-in. I arrived in Bacolod via Cebu Pacific at 8am, and when I reached the hotel my room was ready. It was such a great relief since I came from a 3.5 hour flight from Singapore. I love the room especially the queen-size bed.I would have stayed all day in my room if only I have the luxury of time :-) If ever I come back to Bacolod, I would definitely stay in this hotel, and I would recommend it to my friends.

Nature's Village Resort is owned by the Governor's (Negros Occidental) sister so you can imagine you get some of the best amenities. The Superior room in which we stayed was over-sized, quiet and very comfortable. The entire resort is well designed with a charming modern rustic feel incorporated with an abundance of local and international art to please your senses. The restaurant was our biggest surprise. It is quite literally a five star eatery. The free breakfast each morning is what you would expect to pay top dollar (peso) for anywhere else. The resort, on a large property of natural surroundings, has something for everyone. There's a park for relaxing, throwing a party or holding a function. Two pools, one for all ages, one for the little tots. The larger has a nice waterfall and slide. There are well designed and appointed mud huts on the back of the property. If you want to live like upscale Flintstones during your stay, then book a clay hut. Lastly. Nature's Village is centrally located in the city of Talisay between Bacolod-Silay International Airport and downtown Bacolod. About a seven minute trip to Bacolod City and onward to other points of interest. Nature's Village is a real gem.

It is an old hotel along Lacson St., so I don't have to walk far to get a ride. It is within walking distance to SM malls. If you travel for business it is a convenient location to go. Though the room lights are not meant for working. Internet connection is ok. If you travel with a senior citizen it may not be so convenient without an elevator. For comfort, the bed with comforter is ok, but pillows are small and limited to just one per bed. Sheets are very clean and white and room cleaning is done everyday. Towels are NOT soft and fluffy, the water heater sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. The package I got did not include complimentary bottled water, coffee or tea or newspaper and breakfast. Most hotels in Bacolod already offer that as part of the package for about the same price. The hotel does not accept credit card for payment of room service orders, though I booked using my credit card through Agoda. Initially, I was asked if I will pay through cash or card, and when I said card, I was later told I can only pay in cash. I was told the same at the front desk upon checkin. I didn’t mind at that time, I can pay anyway. But reflecting on it now, I do not understand why the hotel imposes different policies on guests. It could have been more convenient if you can just swipe and go. I booked a REGULAR room and just forget about it after I've done the booking. I expected to get what I booked for when I get there. I checked back now as I write this review on the room features published, as those were the major considerations for my choice of hotel. I just realized now that for two instances (my first booking and now), the room I got did not provide the features they published. NO refrigerator and NO hair dryer. If you are keen on getting what you paid for, remember to check that all conveniences are in place. Hopefully, you wont end up in a difficult argument.

East View Hotel is by far the best value for money hotel in Bacolod in terms of the size of the room for the amount of money you pay. This hotel is a bit more expensive than the budget hotels but the size of the room is much larger, there's a fridge in the room, and the internet actually works. It's worth paying the extra cash for what you get in return. The only downside is that it's not as close to the city center as the other hotels.

It would have been the the best place I've ever stayed at in Bacolod (and I've stayed at a lot!) but the pettiness of the management/owners to penny pinch on every single extra item you wanted felt like we were being made marks for how much extra they could squeeze from your wallet once you were checked in. I normally sleep with more than one pillow (especially when most hotel pillows are thin as a wafer) and was told it would be an extra 20 peso's per pillow!! Then in the morning I went down to have my morning coffee and was given ONE packet of sugar and ONE packet of coffee creamer. When I asked for a couple more I was told it would be 50 peso's extra PER packet!! That's $1.41 CANADIAN per packet!! It's unfortunate that such a nice place would make you feel liked you were staying at some slimy, shady, beggars hang out! There are plenty of other hotels in Bacolod so we won't be staying here again unless I'm given some assurance by them personally that they have changed their petty ways. They should feel ashamed of these kind of practices.

First, location is great! Pasalubong stores, coffee shops as well as the Provincial Capitol are just a few walks away. Very accessible also to PUVs. I've recently been to Masskara festival, and i felt like a local because of its easy to access to everything. :) Second, our room is clean. I love the fact that they changed bedsheets, blankets, pillow cases and towels daily even without request. Unlike to other hotels you have to request for housekeeping to change linens. At Pleasant, they knock on your door and do the changes even without request. Good job! Third, the price is cheap. Though no breakfast is included, they offer breakfast for as low as 80 pesos with brewed coffee. :) If i'll visit again Bacolod, will definitely book to this hotel again. :)

my family tour in bacolod city gives us soo much happiness and adventures specially for us originated from manila and we are all tourist from bacolod. the food is so great and affordable. all architectural design is unique and peaceful with over looking the beach. the staff is so accommodating even our travel time to manila is 5:00 pm and we need to check at 12:00 pm, they offer additional charge for additional 3 hours, we haved more time rest before leaving the beautiful holtel like palmas del mar. we will recommended this to all of my family and friends.truly bacolod is the city of smile.

well, this is the best hotel in bacolod by far, so far!. the food alone would get it that qualification. the restaurant was great. we only had one meal including pizza, carbonara and pesto chicken but it was all great. . the pool is adequate and easy to get to without having to parade through public areas. the location of the hotel is perfect being an easy walk to sm mall and you are also downtown bacolod staff was outstanding, making the proactive steps to bring comfort and peace of mind. i happened to arrive just 15 minutes after having a motorcycle accident. they took care of getting my bike into the garage and getting me supplies to clean up some minor cuts. and broke rules to get me into a room where i could lay down asap. will definitely be back to this hotel and always here when in bacolod. hugs and kisses to the entire operation!!!

During our visit to the island of Negros Occidental we stayed at 3 different hotels, I must say that the "O" hotel was superior when compared to the others. They were the only hotel to offer in room coffee. Complimentary bottled water was in our room everyday and the staff went out of thier way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. The rooms were very clean and equal to the U.S. hotels we are used to staying in. The food was great. Every morning I recieved a complimentary breakfast. Late night snacks can be ordered from room service (try the pizza). Our room had a mini refrigerator so we went to a local market and stocked some sodas and juice. The other hotels we stayed at were more expensive and did not offer the same amenities as the "O". Don't waste your time and money on the others. Just book your stay at the "O" hotel and your trip will be a good one. Our thanks to the staff for making us feel at home.

3Sep2011...On my 1st visit to Bacolod City, Negros Occ. Philippines, after a long absence... I searched the web for a hotel very near the city plaza and San Sebastian Church. This brought me to a new (over a year) boutique hotel 190m from the city plaza and (250m) San Sebastian Cathedral...510m to SM Mall Bacolod. The Suites at Calle Nueva ( 20 rooms, low rise) at the corner of Nueva St. and Locsin St. I was pleasantly surprised to find this hotel (2 star) to be very clean and my room had almost all of the things I looked for a good night sleep. The staff were courteous and helpful. the place was sunny. My room had cool aircon, LED cable tv, land line phone, hot water bath, clean beddings, clean towels, toilet supplies like soap, shampoo, toothbrush..paste... etc. there is a bidet, hair dryer, sleepers, ample towel racks, very clean tiles and toilet bowl. The bed was comfy and clean ... no bedbugs or smelly body odor of former occupants. The was luggage sofa... and clean curtains to block the sunlight. The cabinet was clean with ample hangers. The dinning area is small and accommodating. Wifi was free and was only good for email and web browsing. Breakfast was included and buffet. And were signage for safety and house rules. There was a bible in the drawer. The hallway was clear and clean with lots of cctv cams... feel safe... and most of all the staff were trustworthy. A guest who left came back and was able to get back an electronic accessory. I will certainly come back to this hotel in the days to come.

My room for 2 days, I really enjoyed my stay here in this hotel Its like your just staying in one of the bedroom in your home, because outside your room was a dining/living/kitchen room all in one that you can use, I'm talking about there 2nd Floor Area where my room is, also It is a one jeepney ride going to some bacolod landmarks like SM Bacolod, Bacolod Lagoon, Negros Museum, The Famous Cake and Pastries of Calea, Bacolod Plaza and more, my only downside in this hotel is there shower room you will need to wait for a 20secs. water interval when using there shower or faucet, I dont know If that happens all the time but during my 2 days stay it is consistent, probably If I just complain It to the staff maybe they can fix it but sad to say I didn't complain at all. but none the less this hotel is a Budget-Friendly one. Sure to come back again when I revisit Bacolod.

Never a dull moment when my family and I stayed at Sugarland Hotel for a week. My family and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Its a dream come true after ten years that I haven't been to Bacolod City, I finally came to stay at my "dream hotel" in Negros Occidental, Philippines. My family and I had a great time and we cherished every moment of every day of our stay and we'll definitely recommend Sugarland Hotel globally since the overall package was excellent. Pros:The location is perfect surrounded with restaurants and supermarket,staff were very friendly and helpful.The rooms were big and worth for the money paid.They do have a restaurant,family KTV and a night club in the hotel. Cons:the flush in the toilet was not working properly during our first two days but then they fixed it. I will definitely stay again in this hotel during my next visit to Bacolod.

The house is a a bit old but stylish. Nagstay kami ng one night sa 1st Floor because of our 2 days trip in Bacolod. Nakakabitin ang stay namin dito. I forgot her name pero nagrant nya ung request kong lipat kami ng room so thank you . Spacious ang room at comfy ang bed. Sobrang bait ng staff, approachable at very accomodating. Over all we enjoyed our stay in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.

My husband and I stayed here while in town to experience the MassKara festival. Despite the influx of visitors to Bacolod, the Royal Am Rei Hotel was still very reasonably priced, especially given its excellent location: it is located directly off of Lacson St, which is one of the main arteries for the parades and celebrations. However, it is not situated on Lacson St proper, meaning that it was possible to get away from the noise and frivolity to get a good night's sleep. We also found that all the major sights of the city were easily accessible by foot or a short trike/jeepney ride. There are plenty of food options near by, so Royal Am Rei is really an ideal base to explore Bacolod. Our room was basic, but comfortable. The one downside to the room is that the linen had a few suspicious stains on it, but other than that, the room was clean and was tidied every day. Thankfully our room had air con, as the communal areas of the hotel are not ventilated (though their is air con in the restaurant/dining area) and it can get quite sweltering, even in October! This is unpleasantness is unavoidable if you want to use the internet, as wifi is only available in the lobby, not in private rooms. The breakfast that is included in the price of the room should also be mentioned, as it was really excellent. Each morning we were offered a choice of one of three meat options, eggs, and rice or toast, plus a beverage. For a free breakfast, the portions were very filling and the food was quite tasty. No boring and meager continental breakfast here! Some places the breakfast isn't even worth the effort, but it was a delight here. Although I am sure there are cheaper hotels in Bacolod, for a midrange hotel, the Royal Am Rei delivers.

BPP or commonly known as Bacolod Pension Plaza is a perfect home away from home. It's very near Bacolod Plaza and the San Sebastian Church along Cuadra street. I also like the room and the very accommodating staff. If there's something that I would suggest, it would be better to highlight that BPP is in Cuadra Street. Along Metrobank and behind Jollibbee as normally, if you're taking public jeepneys, you'll be alighted in front of the Church and not everyone knows the exact location of the place.

Excellent Service, sure to stay again when I revisit Bacolod, just a one ride of jeepney on the crossing near the hotel and It will get you to all the possible landmarks in Bacolod like SM Bacolod, Bacolod Plaza, the Famous Cakes and Pastries of Calea, Negros Museum, Bacolod Lagoon and More plus If your planning to go to south part of Negros, just a couple of minute of walking near the hotel are all kinds of public transportation going to south of Negros like Sipalay/Hinaboan also to Mambukal Mountain Resort. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay here at Tamera Plaza Inn, and by the way they also have a shuttle service going to Airport for just Php150.

Kundutel is a premier hotel in Bacolod City located at Goldenfields Commercial Complex area in the City of Smiles. The hotel is also near the domestic airport. The hotel have cool establishments as neighbors. The hotel's vicinity is Carlo Ristorante Italiano, MO2 Bar, Pizza O, Chicken inasal Restaurants, grocery shops, Casino Filipino, and more. Definitely a five star service with a lesser star rate.

Had a good stay but what stuck most is how one of the staff handled my request for an extended stay--booked it weeks before the trip and wasnt handled professionaly. Had to call in 2-3 times thereafter to ensure it has been settled. The place overall is neat--cozy, enough space to move and prop luggage and what not.. Hot shower available, cable channels plus generator on standby.. Quite a distance from the main hub but its easy to get a ride anytime of the day (which is favorable if u visit during masskara season).

It's near the main street of Bacolod -- Lacson Ave -- where most of the happenings and good food places are. Staff are very friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. Transportation is of no problem as trikes and taxis can be easily hailed by the concierge, even a shuttle going to the airport! My room was the non-airconditioned one. It's still good. Not hot inside as their fans are sufficient for the room's size. Good beds and pillows -- not stiff! And that's despite the low price of the room I availed. If in case you don't feel like going out, their food will do. They're also available during the wee hours of the night when you need help or have any requests (buy water or hail a cab). I'd definitely come back to this place again if I were to re-visit Bacolod! :) Thank you, 11th Street Bed & Breakfast!

We are seasoned travellers and my missus was born in Bacolod. The building has seen better days and lacks maintenance. Having said this, it is dirt cheap and suited us because it is bang in the middle of town, walking distance to the market and SM. Shower/toilet and power all worked. If you are used to the Hilton or Marriott this place is not for you but if a backpacker its spot on. Welcome to real life in Philippines!
