RIMBA Jimbaran BALI by AYANA
Jimbaran,Bali - View on map
"Best hotel in Bali. I felt really special and welcomed by staff. Staff welcomed us with flower garland while entering the hotel. Staff were really friendly, helpful and always smiling. I booked this hotel because both rimba and ayana have beautiful pools , restaurants and priority access to rock bar. Being the guest of Rimba we were given the best seat at rock bar. I would highly recommend this hotel. I cannot thank enough to the hotel and staff. We checked out at 12:00 but we had flight at 20:00. Staff allowed us to stay at the hotel and use all the facilities. This really made our day. "

Amnaya Resort Kuta
Kuta,Bali - View on map
"Me and my wife totally loved our stay in this hotel. We have lived in three hotels in Bali so far and this one is our favorite in terms of 1) service ( the staff was always very helpful and nice. Always smiling and being just so nice. From the managers to security at the front door everyone was just so kind and welcoming. Yasa and Putu left a handwritten card and did all their best to leave us a great impression about this place. Also in terms of the rooms cleanliness and design tops our three hotel experiences. Rooms cage a very good sound insulation. The next door water park people’s screams could be heard only outside of our rooms. Facility-wise and would say it’s not the largest pool in Bali but nice and quite. There is almost always a live performing of the traditional very relaxing bamboo music . Water btw was just the perfect temperature. Location - I would say a good location but not perfect if you like to swim in the see you’d have walk a good 10minutes walk. But very conveniently they have a free “golf-car” to take you to the closed shopping mall that is not far away from the beach. Overall our stay was amazing. If you don’t mind a walk to the sea. You want a quite nothing to worry experience in a modern looking nice place choose this one. "

Hard Rock Hotel Bali
Kuta,Bali - View on map
"Best location in Kuta. Close to everything. The staff are friendly and helpfull. The room is standard but very clean and confortable. I've stayed in Kuta before and Hard Rock Hotel (HRH)was the first Hotel in Bali with a decent breakfast. But what really become highlighted in HRH, of course, is the Rock'n Roll atmosphere. The Center Stage is the best bar I ever went. I'm going to Bali in June again and I'll stay again at HRH. I strongly recommend HRH!"

Eastin Ashta Resort Canggu
Canggu,Bali - View on map
"This hotel is new and clean - right now there’s construction around, but it’s a >5 minute walk to the beach. Get a scooter and you have super easy access to all the major streets in Canggu. There’s a great massage place (one of the best I had in Bali) right up the street - Chillax - go check it out and then go do yourself a favor and have lunch at Gypsy - everything is delicious! The hotel staff was so kind here - we rented a scooter directly from them, and they gave us towels for the beach upon request. Also their breakfast buffet is rather generous. I recommend the waffles with eggs - and they have yummy juices and a variety of coffee drinks. I would definitely stay here again. Also our hotel bathroom was great - the shower worked well and had hot water (running theme of cold trickling showers at other hotels in Bali). Just be warned - if you’re a light sleeper (which I am) the walls are pretty thin so you will hear outside noise from people to the local rooster. "

Yarama Cottages
Ubud,Bali - View on map
"Excellent, good value accommodation in Ubud. Just a few minutes walk to: Hubud entrepreneur hub, huge Coco grocery store, restaurants, Monkey Forest, boutique shopping.. I really like this part of town, and I would stay here again! The staff are very friendly, relaxed and helpful. The pancake breakfast is excellent and will keep you full all morning! Only issue I had was the wifi Internet was a bit unreliable, but this is not uncommon in many accommodation options in Bali, and the room nearest the street had some street and music noise, but the room is priced accordingly and is excellent value (the rooms further in from the street are much quieter but a little more pricey.) Overall this place is excellent value! TIP: The hotel next door will let you use their swimming pool facilities all day for a very reasonable price! So if you're hot you can walk next door and be lazy by the pool :) Thank you for having me stay at your hotel in Ubud village!"

The Haven Suites Bali Berawa
Canggu,Bali - View on map
"I liked everything about this hotel. The staff were absolutely lovely, and helped me with any requests as much as they could. Breakfast was tasty and choices were plenty and certain things could be ordered from the menu at no extra charge. The room itself was beautiful with tasteful Balinese decor. The only one minor issue was that my room, which was beachfront, and towards the end of the property, did not have really hot water. It was lukewarm at best. Management did try and fix this, but were unsuccessful. Because it was a hot environment, I didn’t mind too much, but it would have been nicer to be able to have a lovely hot shower. I did stay in 3 other hotels on Bali, and didn’t have that problem anywhere else. However, I would still stay there again, as it wasn’t a deal breaker, as everything else was super."

More about Bali

Bali is a world away from the rest of Indonesia, and a longtime favorite with international travelers. Surfers have been coming here since the 1930s, but it wasn't until the 1960s that surfing vacations to Bali became the popular thing to do. Today, the trend continues and Bali sees as many surfers as it does affluent resort tourists.

Indonesia may have the world's largest Muslim population, but Bali fosters its own distinct culture. Hinduism has flourished here for nearly 2,000 years. Away from the beaches are fascinating Hindu temples, cultural exhibitions, terraced rice fields, and colorful festivals.

Kuta is the busiest resort district in Bali, featuring some of the top luxury hotels in Bali. Behind the main waterfront is a spread of budget guesthouses that are still within easy walking distance of the beach. From here it's a short trip by taxi or rented motorbike to Uluwatu, a massive limestone peninsula jutting out in the sea. Tourists visit Uluwatu to see the temple, go surfing, or watch the sunset over the majestic cliffs.

Legian is another must-see, as it offers an excellent surf along with exciting nightlife along the beach. Life in Legian begins and ends on the beach. Surf shops give lessons by day, and then give way to lively bars and live music venues after sunset. There is a reason that Bali is often referred to as paradise, and much of it is evidenced by a visit to the many beaches.
