The Kayon Jungle Resort by Pramana
Ubud,Bali - View on map
"We stayed at the kayon jungle for the first 4 nights of our honeymoon and were completely blown away. The resort absolutely breathtaking and the setting is just perfect. The food there isn't the best we've ever had but everything was had was tasty. Cocktail hour was a personal favourite of ours. It literally is free cocktails (whatever you want) for an hour with really yummy canapes. Even though the resort was fully when we were there it felt half empty and really personal. What makes this resort so special however is the staff. They literally cannot do enough for you. They go out of their way to quickly learn your names and personal likes and dislikes. Little touches like ringing to ask if you'd like to make dinner reservations or telling the other staff your allergies beforehand. All the people we have met in Bali have been so lovely but the staff in the kayon, especially the butler's are another level. Don't hesitate in booking this hotel. There's a reason it's all over Instagram. "

Six Senses Uluwatu
Uluwatu,Bali - View on map
"LOCATION - south of Bali in Uluwatu area - about 20-25 min away from the airport - we decided to stay in the resort so location doesn't really matter to us Staff - Most of hotel staff in Bali is very good. However, staff in Six-senses were superb. - Staffs looked very happy and they had positive attitude and energy which make us happier. Resort - Amazing views - Many restaurant choices with organic foods - Amazing pool with awesome views Room - Room itself is superb. Nice and clean - this hotel knows what their customer wants and needs I felt this resort was quite expensive when I booked. However, after spending night here, it was worth every penny. My wife and I did not want to leave this place so bad. It is the best resort in Bali and one of the best resort in the world. Maybe :six-senses" should change name to "seven senses" This place care every small details for customers. We felt like we rented whole resort because not too many people were there. BOOK THIS RESORT!!!"

The Apurva Kempinski Bali
Nusa Dua,Bali - View on map
"This hotel does everything right it was absolutely perfect it really does have a wow factor. I’ve stayed in over 2000 hotels this is probably the best, seriously I just don’t see how they could make it any better. Check in was slow I guess and I made 500 photos in just 1 nights stay. Every corner you turn takes your breath away. Only open 3 months so got s good deal, it’s the best hotel in the area and I expect the best hotel in Bali. Very impressed. "

The Santai Villas
Seminyak,Bali - View on map
"Honestly, when i booked The Santai through Agoda, i wasnt expecting so much. I knew the villa is going to be great but as for the service and all, i have no clue. But the day after i booked my stay, The Santai representatives were kind enough to advise us on all the services they provide in their villa without me having to ask. And from there till the end of my stay, the service The Santai staffs provide us with is amazing. There is nothing more i can ask for from The Santai. The villa is amazing, the service is exceptional, and the food too! Honestly, The Santai is the best villa/hotel/whatever you call it, i have ever stayed at. One day i’ll be back in Bali, and i’d still choose to stay at The Santai."

Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort
Uluwatu,Bali - View on map
"Beautiful hotel, amazing views. Pool area was stunning, clean and lovely staff ensuring everyone was looked after. Room was a bit stuffy on arrival but opened the door and got the breeze blowing as well as staff lighting lemongrass oil burners. The smell disappeared after a couple of hours. Food was lovely, large servings and good value. Massages were wonderful but western prices so that was different from some other hotels in Bali. No need to go anywhere as each day was beautiful and evenings watching the sunset on the cliff were wonderful. Some renovation going on which wasn't really intrusive, the loudest thing was the water truck with pump going every afternoon but that was only at the back of the hotel. No problem with Mosquitoes as the breeze was great. Spa on the deck was lovely watching the sunset! Bed was huge and very comfortable room, always kept clean. Beautiful resort."

More about Bali

Bali is a world away from the rest of Indonesia, and a longtime favorite with international travelers. Surfers have been coming here since the 1930s, but it wasn't until the 1960s that surfing vacations to Bali became the popular thing to do. Today, the trend continues and Bali sees as many surfers as it does affluent resort tourists.

Indonesia may have the world's largest Muslim population, but Bali fosters its own distinct culture. Hinduism has flourished here for nearly 2,000 years. Away from the beaches are fascinating Hindu temples, cultural exhibitions, terraced rice fields, and colorful festivals.

Kuta is the busiest resort district in Bali, featuring some of the top luxury hotels in Bali. Behind the main waterfront is a spread of budget guesthouses that are still within easy walking distance of the beach. From here it's a short trip by taxi or rented motorbike to Uluwatu, a massive limestone peninsula jutting out in the sea. Tourists visit Uluwatu to see the temple, go surfing, or watch the sunset over the majestic cliffs.

Legian is another must-see, as it offers an excellent surf along with exciting nightlife along the beach. Life in Legian begins and ends on the beach. Surf shops give lessons by day, and then give way to lively bars and live music venues after sunset. There is a reason that Bali is often referred to as paradise, and much of it is evidenced by a visit to the many beaches.
