"A couple of teething issues on check in (waiting for notification on how to check in - no reception; access code sent my text message and access to laundry room) but otherwise would recommend and happily stay again. Some noise from road and potentially from pub but pub was quiet during my 8 day stay. I personally didn't find the bed very comfortable. Walking distance to main street. Housekeeper was helpful but only saw her once. Overall a great apartment with free parking out front of room. "

"Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We were visiting friends for the weekend so didn't spend much time in the cabin. It was totally adequate for our needs and so nice and clean. 5 minutes drive into town, and free entry for the pool next door, they even provided pool towels. We are both smokers so it was great to have the little deck with a table and chairs. Will stay again next time we're in Ballarat "

"It was great..we were glad we booked Goldfields. We wanted to be near soveriegn hills, and we didn't drive. It was jus a 5mins walk to Sovereign hills and to a street lined with a pharmacy, food, convenience store and petrol station. The bus stop is jus outside the park and easily accessible to town. The cabins are VERY VERY clean, the toilets were gleaming with cleaniness. The bed was surprisely comfortable, pillow were great! The tv channels were SUPERb..movies all day and favourite channels all avail. The kitchen was fully equipped, everything was clean and new. The cabin heaters were great and kept us warm during the winter. The staff were very very friendly and sweet. Provided us with any information we needed. We had a wonderful day at sovereign hill and goldfields made it even better. "

"We stayed here as a halfway stop on our way to the Grampians. As it was just out of the main CBD of Ballarat, in the Avenue of Honour, it was perfect for a fast early departure. The rooms are not fancy, but clean and comfortable. The internet access is fast and free. The staff is friendly, as is their beautiful dog, who made friends with us in the car park. It is in a quiet location and perfect as a stopping point, or affordable accommodation a short drive from Ballarat city centre."

"My partner and I stay in Ballarat often, and would normally stay at one of the hotels on Lydiard St. This place has a distinct 70’s vibe (which we loved, and could easily be a selling point), but the room was significantly larger than we’re used to in the ‘rat, the bed was extra comfy, the heating excellent (not always guaranteed in Ballarat) and the TV was huge. The staff could not have been more helpful - they had programmes for the photo Biennale ready, directions to our next stop - all without asking. Parking was easy. And complimentary breakfast. And a $60+ saving per night on what we normally pay. I think Mid City is our new Ballarat hotel"
