Enjoyed our stay at the Mercure Ballarat Hotel very much. Everything was very satisfactory and room was clean. One thing I do not like and that is the shower over the bath. It is difficult to get in and out, especially if one is a senior. The towels have seen better days too. Otherwise all was good and the bush setting with the pond is lovely.

we stayed in best western ballarat suites for a night in dec 2011. the location is close to sovereign hill, less than 5mins walk. the room is huge with clean comfortable king size bed, big lcd tv, huge toilet with double sinks. it is definitely my choice of stay if i ever get to visit ballarat.

The location of this hotel is great with several eateries / restaurants easily accessible right across the street. Room is big, comfortable bed and pillow. Parking space allocated by room. The only down thing is that they have a Key Down for guests who required early check out before reception opens. Will definitely be back if we get to visit Ballarat again.

Host was really nice n friendly. Provided us with dinner suggestions and helped me get a room on the ground floor for my parents. Rooms are clean n nice. Best thing is there's a heater in the bathroom so it's not too chilly when taking a shower. Thumbs up!

This is a cheap room for what you get. The room is quite large and quiet, has a flat screen TV, heating which you will need as Ballarat is usually freezing - what more could you ask for. Fast check-in - a no fuss easy place to stay.

Walking distance to the station and main street was great. Booking and arrival were absolutely hassle free. Arrived to a beautifully clean room, airconditioner on for our arrival and a supply of tea, coffee and cookies! Pretty interesting building converted into individual apartments

Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. A very well located hotel suitable for families. Plenty of parking spaces. Can very noisy during the weekends due to kids playing at a nearby playground. Will stay here again if I ever visit Ballarat.

It was great..we were glad we booked Goldfields. We wanted to be near soveriegn hills, and we didn't drive. Western Hotel is exactly what one needs. Conveniently located and perfect little room. The staff are the best. Added attraction is the bar area downstairs with a cosy atmosphere for a drink. Perfect!

Convenient location if travelling between Adelaide and Melbourne. Some highway noise but fairly minimal.

Very handy to Kryal Castle which we were visiting for a weekend festival. If your visit was to central Ballarat this is a little further away but the value for money might offset that. The manager was very cheerful and helpful and our room was fine with everything comfy and working well.

The location is good. It is in the centre of the town. You can start your city walk from the hotel. The staff is good. We really felt welcomed in this hotel...not easy to have such feeling in Australia. The room is good. Spacious, clean, with good kitchen and air conditioner.
