Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok
Siam,Bangkok - View on map
"We like the hotel’s philosophy and its promise of “clean means clean”. Located in the best neighborhood (arguably 😉) of Bangkok and with everything Kimpton Maa-Lai has to offer, staying here is one of our best staycations. Breakfast offered limited selections but the menu items were carefully picked. Stock.room serves the best guacamole (if you’re a fan) and housemade jam in town (try their mango and pineapple jam and you won’t disappoint). Had a few hiccups during my stay but all was resolved quickly and efficiently. We also tried a meal at the ‘luxurious’ hotel next door. Our recommendation is pick the Kimpton - we like it here far better!"

The Peninsula Bangkok
Bangkok Riverside,Bangkok - View on map
"We have stayed at the Peninsula in Bangkok many times. We have tried many other 5 star Bangkok hotels and just keep returning to the Peninsula. It is an amazing package....it is so serene that you wouldn't know you are in the middle of a city of 10 million people. The swimming pool is my idea of BLISS. Lined by sunbeds and salas, the staff regularly supply you with iced water, mini icecreams made at the hotel and portions of fresh fruit. The rooms are spacious with beautiful marble bathrooms and a TV at the end of the bath. Thriptara Thai restaurant is superb and you sit in a beautiful Thai garden beside the river and watch the world go by. The staff rushed out with a bowl of water melon when I accidentally bit into a lethal green chilli, without me even having to request it. Your every wish, including late checkouts and non-smoking floors are granted with a smile. It would have to be the most TRANQUIL and amazing hotel in a big city, that I have ever stayed in."

More about Bangkok

Bangkok is the capital of Thailand, and serves as a gateway for this region. Bangkok is served by Suvarnabhumi International Airport , which is one of the busiest and most important travel hubs in Asia, as well as the regional Don Muang Airport, which serves many of the regional airlines. Hotels in Bang Na are popular with travelers making quick stopovers as the area is within close proximity of the international airport.

Bangkok is a diverse and sprawling city without a dedicated central district. Instead, the major activity follows the major roads of Sukhumvit and Silom through the length of the metropolis. Visitors to this city will have endless options for accommodations, shopping, and some of the most exciting nightlife in Southeast Asia.

Getting around Bangkok used to be tricky, but modern infrastructure changes and the use of sky trains continues to make transportation easier.

The cosmopolitan energy in Bangkok is exhilarating, but it's easy to see that this city also plays an integral role in Thai culture and history. No sooner do tourists round the corner of a brand-new skyscraper than they come face-to-face with a centuries-old temple or an eclectic open-air market. The city features many unforgettable sites such as the Temple of Dawn, the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, which is known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Bangkok remains endlessly fascinating and surprising even to its residents. There’s much more to see and learn about Bangkok, and the interactive map on this page is a great way to continue uncovering all the important landmarks, hotels, and attractions of this vibrant city.
