Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit

"We looooved this hotel. I booked a regular room, we were on the 24th floor, great view of the city and sunrise! The room was awesome, shower room was great with a full wall window and rain shower!!! We signed up for the "club" benefits for extra $30 bux/person and looooved it: afternoon tea, open bar, breakfast with great selection! Loved the pool on the 7th floor and the gym. Also they have a sauna that you can operate yourself in the locker/shower room of the gym, how awesome is that! Also, there's a bar on 45-48th floors. We went there for sunset, but the clouds didn't let it happen. Still the views were great, and drinks are 50% off. I would totally stay here again and recommend it to anyone. The only thing I didn't like, was location. We stayed at 2 hotels in Bangkok, and of course I was comparing them and this one wasn't as good as the other one. But it was close to the subway and easy to get to anywhere! "

"Excellent hotel and service but one of the worst Club Lounges I have seen in Bangkok. Not to say it wasn't good but in comparison to what other 5 star hotels in Bangkok have on offer this Club Lounge felt like it was lacking a lot. The service is excellent and food was a very high standard and the Sunday Brunch was the best I have seen in Bangkok. But everything else seemed very expensive, drinks, food, room service etc..... in comparison with other 5 star hotels in Bangkok it is not value for money. "

The Quarter Ari by UHG
Chatuchak,Bangkok - View on map
"Located near BTS Ari Station, Villa Market, Thai-Chinese Restaurant Lhao Lhao. This neighbourhood is busy on working days, quiet on weekends and PHs. The entrance to the hotel reception is located at the side, behind the office building – Ari Hills. At the ground floor, there are Starbucks, Boots and 7-11. The staff are super friendly – doorman, front desk, housekeeping, restaurant crew, rooftop bar and the gym. Our deluxe room is well equipped with kitchenette, a comfortable bed, wardrobe, big flatscreen TV. This corner room is so spacious that we feel that something is missing, perhaps a mini sofa or work desk will complete the look! We have an awesome view of Bangkok city with lots of windows and lots of sunlight. The only downside is the bathroom: water drainage is bad and the exhaust fan not working – wet floor, steam and smell takes a while to dissipate. Breakfast is at level 22 with amazing view. The breakfast is almost the same everyday, the food is delicious but boring. The highlight of this hotel – the swimming pool, rooftop bar and gym, located at level 33 – 360° view of Bangkok!"

Hotel Nikko Bangkok
Sukhumvit,Bangkok - View on map
"I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights because of its good location, close to BTS and have plenty of good restaurants nearby. On one afternoon, I left my backpack in the ground floor public sitting area, and totally have it forgotten. Only on the next morning, I found I have my backpack lost somewhere. It was fortunate that I got an envelop with a memo inserted inside my room, informing me that my backpack was found and have been stored in the reception counter, and safely kept by the Manager. Many thanks to all staff hotel staff of Nikko. If they didn't picked up my backpack, identifying it was mine, and tell me to get it back from the Manager, my trip in Bangkok would have been a nightmare. Once again, many many thanks to all staff in Hotel Nikko Bangkok."

"i think this is one of the best hotels in bangkok in the very affordable range. the rooms are very spacious, even with kitchennette facilities. sauna, steamer and pool are simply great. massage facilities have very professional people working there (probably the best massage we had in thailand). and, most importantly, there buffet breakfast is absolutely delicious and we really liked there attention to detail. the staff speaks english and is very professional. the hotel located 50 m from ratchasima train station and 10 min walk from siam square and siam paragon shopping centre."

Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok
Bangkok Riverside,Bangkok - View on map
"The Chatrium Suites is an excellent choice in Bangkok - especially if you value the glorious river view, and enjoy the quintessential Bankok visitor experience of traveling by boat on the Chao Phraya river. If you need to frequently travel to the center of Bangkok shopping and activities, the location and boat connection may grow tiresome. Our arrival reception was gloriously welcoming - a group of beaming hotel staff rushed to take our bags, escort us to the room and treat us like returning family. The room was enormous with a spacious kitchen unit, however our unit was not actually equipped to actually cook any meals. Overall the facilities were very good, however our carpet was stained, and a bit frayed. We enjoyed the busy, but comfortable swimming pool which is not quite up to the "destination resort" pool feeling at some similar level Bangkok hotels I have stayed (Nai Lert Park, Antara), but definitely better than the small rooftop hotel pools that seem more typical at Bangkok hotels. I would recommend the nearby Asiatique riverside, restaurant/shopping/entertainment complex . Asiatique is a 5-minute taxi ride (much longer by river, unless you swim) and only 50 baht taxi fare – though on our return to the hotel we had to struggle to find a cab who would use the meter and not charge us a flat 100 baht fare. Asiatique is somewhat touristy, but there seemed to be enough locals to give it an energetic, authentic feel - our meal at Checkmate was very pleasant, and the singer at the 9E Furniture Bar was amazing. Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok
Sukhumvit,Bangkok - View on map
"We stayed at the Grand Sukhumvit for 4 nights. We had a room on the 31st floor and had a fantastic view. Our package which included breakfast, cocktails and a butler service. The hotel and staff were awesome and I can't fault a thing. I don't think there's a hotel in Bangkok that is in a perfect location for all sightseeing but around the our hotel there was an amazing shopping centre (Terminal 21), an MRT station and plenty of restaurants, bars and clubs."

The Quarter Ploenchit by UHG
Sukhumvit,Bangkok - View on map
"When I first enter the room, I found little pieces of food on the table, so I called the operator to ensure if my room has been cleaned before. I actually don’t mind removing them by myself but I was concerned about the hygiene due to Covid-19 situation. The operator said that she has no idea, she needed to ask the housekeeper. Then, another staff visited my room to pickup the pieces of food. He apologized and left. I asked if my room has been cleaned or not. He said it was an empty room and he has no idea about it. After I checked out and left for an airport. I found my ID card missing, so I called back to the hotel front. I told them that I do need the ID card to take a flight that morning and requested to have a housekeeper checking for the ID card in my room. The operator told me he will do so and call me back. It’s already another day. I’ve been back home after a very difficult situation at the airport. I never get a call. Actually, the hotel is nice and fully facilitated. The room is kind of small but lovely and convenient. The location is good. The promo price is the best. All the staff treated and talked to me very politely. But, their service is obviously careless. I hope they mind this review and improve. Then, it would be very perfect."

Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit Hotel
Sukhumvit,Bangkok - View on map
"I spent three nights at the Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit Hotel on the club level and thought it was a nice new luxury hotel in Bangkok. The location is right on Sukhumvit road which makes it nice and easy to get to the BTS. The staff was extremely professional and Charlie and the front desk couldn’t have been nicer. The rooms had the latest Samsung smart led tv’s and bose sound systems. The beds are extremely comfortable and I didn’t want to get out in the morning. My only complaint of the room was the Hermes soap. They only give one tiny bar of soap that could be used for either washing your hands or for the shower. A second bar of soap for the shower would be nice. The club floor was nice with a great selection for breakfast, afternoon tea and complimentary evening cocktails from 5-7pm. I was surprised how few people were taking advantage of the evening cocktails...I felt like I had the place to myself which was great. The pool was nice and refreshing. My only complaint of the pool area was that they would use an old dirty mop to remove the water from around the pool area and it seemed a little disgusting. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay on Sukhumvit road in Bangkok."

More about Bangkok

Bangkok is the capital of Thailand, and serves as a gateway for this region. Bangkok is served by Suvarnabhumi International Airport , which is one of the busiest and most important travel hubs in Asia, as well as the regional Don Muang Airport, which serves many of the regional airlines. Hotels in Bang Na are popular with travelers making quick stopovers as the area is within close proximity of the international airport.

Bangkok is a diverse and sprawling city without a dedicated central district. Instead, the major activity follows the major roads of Sukhumvit and Silom through the length of the metropolis. Visitors to this city will have endless options for accommodations, shopping, and some of the most exciting nightlife in Southeast Asia.

Getting around Bangkok used to be tricky, but modern infrastructure changes and the use of sky trains continues to make transportation easier.

The cosmopolitan energy in Bangkok is exhilarating, but it's easy to see that this city also plays an integral role in Thai culture and history. No sooner do tourists round the corner of a brand-new skyscraper than they come face-to-face with a centuries-old temple or an eclectic open-air market. The city features many unforgettable sites such as the Temple of Dawn, the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, which is known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Bangkok remains endlessly fascinating and surprising even to its residents. There’s much more to see and learn about Bangkok, and the interactive map on this page is a great way to continue uncovering all the important landmarks, hotels, and attractions of this vibrant city.
