Siam Mandarina Hotel (SHA Plus+)
Suvarnabhumi Airport,Bangkok - View on map
"The best value-for-money hotel near Bangkok airport. (8-minutes) The room was clean and brand new furniture. The facilities are 5-star. The staffs were friendly and you will be greeted with refreshing welcome drinks! There are 2 great restaurants and bars. (You must try Tom Kha Ghai) The swimming pool was best during the sunset. Plus, the massage place was cheap, professional, and nicely decorated. I'll stay here whenever I landed in Bangkok."

Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sukhumvit 11
Sukhumvit,Bangkok - View on map
"I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room is just right in size and the bathroom has all the essentials. The room is clean and cozy. The breakfast is basic and nothing fancy but it has enough variety for a simple breakfast. The laundry room is easy and convenient to use and cheap. The only drawback is that there is no free transport from the hotel to the train (BTS Nana Station) which is quite a long walk. The street the hotel is on (Sukhumvit Soi 11) is a very happening street with clubs, drinking holes and restaurants. There are 2 good Italian restaurants (Pormodoro and Lemoncillo) on this street. For guests who are in Bangkok to visit the Bumrungrad International Hospital (a multiple-specialty medical centre), this hotel is a short walk from it. "

Carlton Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit (SHA Extra Plus)

"Although I live in Bangkok, The Carlton Hotel has become my preferred choice when I feel like a rejuvenating stay away from home. Stayed numerous times over the past few months. The friendly and professional team go above and beyond expectation. The guest rooms are well designed with gorgeous views of the Bangkok Skyline with the added benefit of the rooftop bar. "

Grande Centre Point Sukhumvit 55 Thong Lo (SHA Plus+)
Sukhumvit,Bangkok - View on map
"This hotel is a 'real' 5 star hotel. I've stayed in three 5 star hotels in Bangkok prior to Grand Centre Point. This beats them all. The staff are fun and consistently polite to guests. They play with the children interact with the guests and add a nice feel to the hotel. Breakfast had flavourful, good quality produce which was great for 320baht if you don't include breakfast in your booking. The design of the hotel is stylish and modern plus the view from our 26th floor room was amazing. You could see Bangkok for miles. head to the pool with a glass barrier around the outside where Bangkok can be seen... as well as heard quite well! One problem with it was the gym it was a little empty however you don't really spend your time in a gym! One last problem was the Spa area. I really wanted to just go inside and see it before I booked anything however this was prohibited. Even when no one is using it you still can't have a look with a member of staff."

Royal President Hotel (SHA Extra Plus)

"I;ve stayed in 35 different hotels in Bangkok, some expensive, some cheap, but this is the best value Hotel of them all. It is'nt the most modern, it doesn't have the wow factor when you walk in, but the rooms are huge and very comfortable, it is very clean and the breakfast is one of the best I have had in Bangkok, what more do you need !"

Grande Centre Point Hotel Ratchadamri (SHA Extra Plus)
Siam,Bangkok - View on map
"One of my favorite hotels in Bangkok, if not, in all of Thailand. Let's consider the price first. Chances are, on most nights, you can get a high floor room here. Considering the location (Siam shopping/nightlife), and... that this is an authentic 5 star, you just won't go wrong. The only minor setback: just one restaurant in this entire (massive) hotel. But the fact the restaurant has amazing staff (I've stayed here many times- they always remember me, even by my nickname)... and the food is truly classy, I'm ok with it. The hotel itself, is elegant, classy... room decor is a perfect mix of modern/chic style, with a hint of bohemian/classic. Very nicely designed rooms, that make it a true 5 star. I'm a fitness buff... so I can't stand hotels that delegate a small room in a basement somewhere, put two treadmills, and a workout ball in the middle, and then say "fitness center" included... this hotel, has a real gym- with real machines- even a smith machine (bench press, shoulder press, etc) with sufficient 20 kg plates around for a serious workout. Full credits to the hotel for this point. It's a big enough gym and very modern too, to feel like you're in a real gym and be motivated. The spa (included, in the rooms) is nice too- with a great steam room, hot tub, and, sauna. Love staying here... a great workout... then relax in the steam room, and then get some amazing food at their restauarant. Seriously, for this price- you'll have a hard time finding better in this area. I know, for I've tried many others in the area, and always end up coming back here."

Citrus Sukhumvit 13 Nana Bangkok by Compass Hospitality (SHA Extra Plus)
Sukhumvit,Bangkok - View on map
"my friend and i had a great stay - we spent a couple nights at a nearby hotel and wish that we had booked here for our entire stay in bangkok. it is on a quieter street than the neighboring one with all the restaurants and crowds of tourists, so you can get in and out quickly, or walk over to join the party. it is also right next a rail station, so you have quick access to the city. the hotel itself is very nicely designed - the rooms have clever partitions that allow for as much or as little privacy as you want between the room and wash area so that you can use the space as a couples retreat or for friends/families etc. the rooftop pool and restaurant area are also fashion forward yet highly functional spaces. if i return to bangkok in the future i would stay here again!"

The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam (SHA Extra Plus)
Pratunam,Bangkok - View on map
"This is my second visit since last year. Showed some improvement at receptionist counter (More attentive and polite). Check in and out was fast, paid deposit of THB2000 for 3 nights by credit card which will be refund when you check out (Hotel in Bangkok need deposit during stay, so is ok for me). Booked Luxury Room at Main Tower, rooms are spacious, clean with stable wifi and clean big bath room with clean bathtub, everything as show in Agoda website. Only downside is the bathroom, very slippery floor, so be careful everyone. (I nearly fell a few times during my stay, hope something can be done before accident happens for other guest). Last of all, this hotel is very close to most shopping center in Pratunam and there are a lot of small night stall outside hotel and famous chicken rice are just opposite of hotel but will need to walk around 15-20 mins to reach nearest BTS. Will still choose to stay here if there's room promotion on my next trip to Bangkok."

More about Bangkok

Bangkok is the capital of Thailand, and serves as a gateway for this region. Bangkok is served by Suvarnabhumi International Airport , which is one of the busiest and most important travel hubs in Asia, as well as the regional Don Muang Airport, which serves many of the regional airlines. Hotels in Bang Na are popular with travelers making quick stopovers as the area is within close proximity of the international airport.

Bangkok is a diverse and sprawling city without a dedicated central district. Instead, the major activity follows the major roads of Sukhumvit and Silom through the length of the metropolis. Visitors to this city will have endless options for accommodations, shopping, and some of the most exciting nightlife in Southeast Asia.

Getting around Bangkok used to be tricky, but modern infrastructure changes and the use of sky trains continues to make transportation easier.

The cosmopolitan energy in Bangkok is exhilarating, but it's easy to see that this city also plays an integral role in Thai culture and history. No sooner do tourists round the corner of a brand-new skyscraper than they come face-to-face with a centuries-old temple or an eclectic open-air market. The city features many unforgettable sites such as the Temple of Dawn, the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, which is known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Bangkok remains endlessly fascinating and surprising even to its residents. There’s much more to see and learn about Bangkok, and the interactive map on this page is a great way to continue uncovering all the important landmarks, hotels, and attractions of this vibrant city.
