Almost perfect. Mostly friendly staff. Breakfast very filling - too much to have lunch! Although you may end up with half a dozen plates and lots of cutlery... Quiet courtyard with some interesting architecture. Free wifi without any hassle. Only two negatives: - Shower over bath could do with a curtain to stop the water going everywhere. Also too high for short people (5ft or below). - Most of the room finishings and toiletries seemed to be of a high standard, so why use cheap and nasty toilet paper? Maybe it was recycled.

A pleasant hotel in the centre of Beaune. The Hotel is quaint and well laid out. The breakfast buffet is fresh and clean and all meat cuts and cheese's stored behind glass, the coffee though is outright disgusting. But wait I can order a freshly ground espresso at a supplementary cost. Lets just get rid of all these xtra costs I am sick of getting a good price for my hotel room but having to pay xtra for my parking, my breakfast, my omelette (€ 4 here) my espresso - this all pumps the price up and resembles more of the insane airline practices .

the location of the hotel is great, within couple minutes walking distance to hospice de beaune, visitor information center and some good restaurants. our group have booked 3 rooms and all the rooms are differently decorated with different style. we had fun even by exploring the corridors and staircases between different blocks and floors. beds and pillows were comfortable. bathroom was large. reception staff was friendly and can recognize each of us when giving our keys back. housekeeping may need some improvement. we ate fruits and pastry with the saucers but after the cleaning next day we found one was taken away and one still looked oily with crumbs.

Beaune is a small city so I think anywhere you pick, the hotel will be well located. I think people are deciding between a modern and clean hotel versus being in a more historical hotel. We chose the former and was not disappointed. Rooms are decent size- the 2 of us fit all our luggage and 2 built bikes so not bad I say! The room is very clean and comfortable. Free wifi was great but you just had to re-log in a million times with an email address. The hotel charges 8 euros for parking but there's free parking just around the corner. One thing they could improve on was the breakfast- too bread heavy for me. May include some fruit? I did appreciate the fresh orange squeezing machine! I had so many cups of fresh orange juice :) Loved Beaune and exploring the vineyards on bike!

We didn't have a nice experience with the hotel. We had a pre-paid booking. My credit card was charged by agoda. When we arrived at about 15:00 the was nobody at the hotel as if it's closed and a machine for self-check in, where you were supposed to either enter your name, or booking number or insert a credit card. We did all three but no luck. We tried calling the number that was written there, but no luck again. Then we found out that someone will be at the reception at 17:00. So we came back at that time and were finally checked in. But had to pay for this booking again!! (and the rate was higher than agoda's). We didn't want to ruin the evening and with a young kid under 2 years old I just wanted to finally have a room, so I paid and decided to write to agoda later. It's stated everywhere that there's free wifi at the hotel, but we couldn't connect with all the 3 devices we had. The person at the reception was helpless and just said that she doesn't know anything and she can connect on her device. So I only could write to agoda after we left. Agoda returned the money in the end, and if your arrival time is later than 21:00 nobody will check you in till 7 am in the morning the next day, because the reception works only 7am-10am and 17:00pm to 21pm. At all the other times you are supposed to use self-check in, but it doesn't work.

my partner and i were quite taken away with this hotel. we have never seen or stayed in one like it! it was very unique with medieval architecture and stone lobby. it was like living in a movie with a little trap door as the entrance to the hotel. the rooms were double story with a loft bedroom upstairs and a sitting room downstairs. very cute and comfortable with rooftop views of the city. everything is within walking distance and the food in this area is just sensational.

One of the better hotels during my stay in France. The town of Beaune is already rustic, but Annexe De La Paix makes it a wonderful and pleasant stay altogether. Checking in is at the actual hotel, while the room is sequestered along the 'annex', literally another building down the street. Booked a family room at an affordable price, and got more than i expected! two double beds, a huge bathroom and toilet. Only thing missing was a fridge. Nevertheless, central location makes it a good spot to walk around Beaune Central. Definitely a hotel I would recommend for families and couples!

The 4-stars-classification is misleading regarding the guest rooms. My guest room was depressing with a view going on a gigantic Parking lot. The buses waited with running engine underneath my window. The size of the room is so small, there is not even space for luggage. The furnishing is very basic and out of date. The hotel really offers nothing more than a cheap hotel chain would - except that Hotel Mercure Beaune Centre is not cheap: no bath products except a nearly empty soap holder; old, worn out towels; no face towels; no pen; no fridge/no bar; no shoe cleaning brush; no drinking glasses – not even a sign „Please don’t disturb“ for the door. So the cleaning lady entered the room three times (3 x !) after a short knocking without waiting for an answer – on the morning before my check out. They can’t wait till you leave. The rooms are 2 stars, the hotel amenities 3 stars, only the price is 4 stars.

Arriving at Hotel Central, we were greeted by a lovely old building on cobblestone streets. The staff spoke very good english, so checking in and communicating was a breeze. The room was very spacious, and well equipped. We were particularly impressed by the bathroom. Wifi interenet in the room was also a bonus. Our room overlooked a gorgeous courtyard, it was very 'French'. We only spent 2 night in Beaune, however id highly recommend it and especially Hotel Central. The staff were very helpful with our day trip on the bikes, could hire them from the hotel. They were well looked after and reliable enough to withstand our 50km trek through the wineries/small towns. The hotel was within walking distance (right on the doorstep) of the main shopping and dining street. The food and wine was superb. Id love to come back one day and would definately stay again! thankyou

The hotel is proximate to Hospice de Beaune. The location is very nice within walking distance to the stores and restaurants. Parking and access to the hotel is a bit of an issue in that you have to be familiar with the roads and streets in Beaune to find the hotel. It is a nice location to be able to walk to the sights and restaurants in Beaune with the advantage that this is in a quieter section. The rooms need renovation.

The hotel has a low key street presence on one of the main roads spinning off the one-way road that circles the old town. It is well located being only 50 metres or so from the cut down version of the Arc de Triomphe that marks one of the entrances through the city walls. It is also very close to an entry point to the ramparts walk. The hotel is clean and well-presented. Our room was on the ground floor and was a good size. There was a small refrigerator (good for storing the tempting purchases from the markets or the wine caves) and a jug for tea and coffee making - unusual in France. The buffet breakfast was good quality. Staff were very helpful and most spoke English. Free access to a PC was a bonus.

It was a pleasant surprise that the hotel is a stone's throw from the city center. We could walk to everything! The staff spoke English and were really helpful. The room we stayed in was also lovely, spacious and luxurious. Only gripe is they didn't tell you about the 14 EUR breakfast per person. It wasn't worth it. Scrabbled eggs were dry and there wasn't much variety. Could have skipped it.

I really enjoyed this stay. We were in many smaller hotel rooms but this place was like a cool flat in the city. Just the right amount of space and lux. The kitchen was great and it was a great way to sample wine during our stay in Burgandy, cause you can't bring it all back with you. Friendly host and they helped us in many ways. NO complaints in taking our heavy suitcase all the way up to the top. We had an awesome stay and the price was very good as well. Cheap in fact. The location was perfect too. Beaune is small but everything we wanted was nearby.
