"Great hostel in a good location. Just a 10 min walk to the central Berlin train station, where there are many shops, a small supermarket and restaurants. Good connectivity from the Berlin Hbf to the rest of Berlin and for travelling to other areas e.g. Potsdam, Dresden, Cologne."

Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz
Mitte,Berlin - View on map
"Located at, or rather in Alexanderplatz, which is the real happening lace in Berlin, with the bus stop, the underground, tram and taxi stand just outside the hotel, Park Inn is a very well located hotel. All the historical monuments can be accessed by the hop-on hop-off bus, which is only €15 per head. Taxis are very reasonable with an airport trip costing €30. The rooms are a bit small, but very clean and most comfortable. The only deficincy is the lack of tea/coffee self service in the room. I would go down the Burger King and get coffee for my wife in the morning. That, however, was not really a problem as Burger King is in the hotel. The elevators are high speed and covered the 28 floors in 30 seconds. The breakfast was a very large, sptious spread consisting of A huge variety of breads, cheeses, eggs, cold cuts, juices, tea and coffee and fruits. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this East Berlin hotel to anybody. And, I will definitely stay th"

City Hotel Berlin East
Lichtenberg,Berlin - View on map
"First of all, think of what you want from Berlin. If you are mainly in the Eastern part, it is only 20 minutes per tram to Alexanderplatz and 20 min. to Simon-Dach-Kiez to another direction, so very good for that, and the trams run frequently. It is also a pretty nice walk towards Frankfurter Allee. Personnel was really nice - all points to them! Breakfast was really really good, wide choice of anything you would desire. With the newspaper that was my every day fun for about an hour at time ;) as I was on holiday with no rush! The only thing I was hoping for more, are the beds- it was okay, but could be a bit better in softness as this was a bit rough. Maybe these are the renovation-goal - hopefully at least! I loved the atmosphere in the room, nice pics from DDR and some of the east-flair. Very convenient. Will probably be back here!"

a&o Berlin Mitte
Mitte,Berlin - View on map
"I stopped once in A/O in Cologne, and it was very nice. However, I didn't realize that in Berlin it will be different story. Since it is probably one of the cheapest hotels in Berlin, the public that books this hotel is corresponding: the horny noisy teenagers are being constantly unloaded by the buses, and they produce incredible amount of noise, especially in the night. Ear plugs or headphones is a must, but even then the walls/floor are shaking, because people are running, dancing, having sex - you name it. They also smoke right outside, so the smoke goes in easily. Never again! In Cologne, however, the same hotel was very good (or I was lucky)..."
