Traveling to Switzerland? Find Bern hotels

Stayed for three days and found that all of staff very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean, quiet and stylish. Location next to tram stop was very convenient. Both restaurants were very good but a bit on the pricey side. Bern was a lovely city and had lots to offer. We would love to stay again as this was a very good value for the money. Only complaint was the beds were a bit small for two people.

Modern, clean and comfortable rooms at affordable prices (by Swiss Standards). This hotel is located right opposite the Bern Expo Center and is about a 15 minutes ride from the Bern Main Station and city center by Tram Number 9. It's also a 5 minute walk to the Stade de Swiss (Stadium). A large supermarket can be found in the stadium shopping complex. Enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

Courteous and attentive staff. Convenient location within walking distance of Bern main station and within easy access to places of interest. Clean room with modern amenities. The hotel has recently undergone renovation. There were lots of activities happening at the piazza outside the hotel. However, the windows and veranda door are triple-layered tempered glass and totally sound proof. Breakfast was good with lots of healthy food with fruits. We will stay here again next time.

Thank you Ibis team, if I’ve got an opportunity to visit switzerland again particularly Bern, I’m sure to stay at this place, it’s close to local tram station and it’s even short distance walking from Bern central station, i definitely felt relax and comfortable during my stayed in Bern, bed is comfy nice design with modern decoration like computer game geeks, and colourful for youngster, hot drinks corner for self service is 24 hrs available, the hotel had surprised us at check in counter by providing free public transport tickets for tram and bus during our stay at IBiS city Bern , cheers all IBIS team :)

The City Banholf hotel very closes to the Bern Banholf train station, tram stop, and bus stop. This is quite convenience to all purposes of traveling either vacation or business's trips. And Bern is in the middle of the Switzerland so that you are able to use as the base to commute around the country of Switzerland easily. There are quite often train scheduling to Zurich, Geneva, Interlaken, etc. In terms of size of the room, that is good enough for a couple with children. Continental Breakfast provided is better comparing to 3 star hotel in London. This hotel is good for value of money.

This is a hotel on top of a restaurant. Although it is quite expensive (as with other accommodation in Europe), this is the best I have stayed for my 2wks trip in Europe (changed 7 hotels during the whole trip). The host is very friendly and he gave us tickets that covered our stay for us to take the bus/tram around the area. There is no lift, so beware for those with many luggages. However, we had help from a man and his son who were sitting outside the restaurant. Not sure if they were guests too or friends of the owner. Very friendly people around here. But of course we had to lug them down ourselves when we checked out. The breakfast was very simple but enough. The main thing are the beds. We had a 4bedder which is a double bed and a single bunk bed. The beds were super comfortable. Had a great sleep. Lastly, the location is down a slope after alighting from the tram station. Going down is a breeze but going back up when checking out was a good morning exercise for us. In conclusion, great place to stay in Bern.

Villa Alma is very clean and for an overnight stay it is ok. The key location, entry into the B&B was easy. Security to the main entry and to the bedrooms was good. A good breakfast was provided with boiled eggs, breads, jam, fruit, yoghurt, juice, milk, an assortment of tea and coffee We have never stayed in a place with a shared bathroom and found this rather inconvenient. Other travellers left the bathroom floor wet, toilet unclean and although each room was supplied with their own coloured coded cupboard in the kitchen we found that guests did not adhere to this format. They probably didn't read the information folder. Overall, the owners presented a well kept and very clean B&B.

There is a confusion when we check out, only to realise that the room charge was not paid online. It was my hindsight not to read automated after-booking-emails carefully (I book several hotels in a day for Switzerland holiday trip through agoda and inbox is full of agoda emails.) but I thought I fill in my credit card details when I make booking online? Only dislike is that the room rate for 2nights stay is different for each day but agoda chose to display the lower rate for 2nights stay, which is misleading. I wasn't aware of the difference in room rate for each night until we paid and read the receipt upon check out. If I had known that the rate is CHF 40 difference for 1st and 2nd night, I would have book another cheaper hotel. Anyway, put aside above issue and not being aware of the actual cost during the stay, I'm happy and impressed with the little services provided by the hotel. I like the provision of gym bag for indoor exercising and the daily FOC fruits basket at the reception. Fridge is not available in the room but I'm fine with this although a bit surprise as I had assumed fridge is a basic facility. Kettle is not available in room but can be requested at reception counter. Hotel is very clean and located in a nice quiet neighbourhood, which can be reached by taking tram number 9, followed by short walking distance. Breakfast is not bad. All in all, no complains for this hotel stay.

Prime reason for picking this hotel was the relatively cheaper price. We drove to the place, and it took us 1 hour to reach the hotel front. Everytime the GPS kept taking us to the back gate, and apparently you have to be a local to figure out how toget through to the main entrance. We were assisted by the Police to reach there. Room was extremely small to accomodate 2 double beds (basically 2 queen beds jammed up in the standard room). Breakfast was ordinary fare but okay for the price we paid. Staff however was friendly.

The hotel is located about 20mins away from Bern city. Little far way but cheaper, and is only short walk from Stettlen train station. However, there's practically nothing to do around there except for staying the nights. There's a small playpark nearby which our daughter had so much fun. There's also a bakery shop and convenient store within walking distance. But opening hours short. The room is spacious enough for our little girl to play around. Not much amenities in room, but it's clean. No tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is simple fare but good enough to start the day. Friendly staff and also very helpful.
