Bologna hotels & accommodations

Great hotel, great service, great breakfast. Bare in mind, location is 25 minutes by car from city. There is only one local bus line (line 93) to city centre, and it only transits few times a day! Awfull! Once, it did not show up at all. We ended up using taxi every time, making our trip a lot expensive. Only use this hotel if you have your own means of transportatio...

Stayed for two nights at this hotel in Bologna. It is located directly across from Bologna Centrale Train Station so if you are coming by train to Bologna from different parts of Italy it is an ideal location. It is also within 15 or so minutes walking of many of the sites within the old city. Besides location, the hotel staff was also a plus. We had a few question...

the una bologna hotel really earns its four-star rating. it is a modern hotel with with great design that conveys style and personality. while all the furniture seems brand new, perhaps the carpeting in our room requires renovation. standard rooms are very comfortable. the bathrooms are spacious and feature a nice bathtub and amenities. lighting is great. the roo...

We had a lovely week at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, reception set the standard. Upbeat ,helpful and charming. All the staff here were super. So a big thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. There's a relaxed atmosphere and lots of space to chill out. We loved the pool, trips into Bologna, And recommend the train to Venice for the day.

This is a nice hotel with clean, modern rooms. It's a little out of the center of town but close to the highway and airport. For my purpose (business) ideal. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was pretty good with a nice selection. Price wasn't too bad either. Parking readily available right outside or if you prefer they have underground parking as well (that c...

The hotel is opposite Bologna main train station and main bus station. You can go to Airport by Shuttle bus at 6 Euro. You can go to other cities in Italy by train without wake up very early to catch the train. Also, the hotel is near city area of Bologna, so you can do shopping and sight seeing by walk or you can take many buses from main train station. Staff is not v...

This hotel ticks all the boxes, everything is outstanding. I would suggest if driving by car book the private garage. The hotel sends very good instructions on how to get there. It is very close to the hotel. There is a restricted driving zone in Bologna.

The hotel is well placed for the station and getting into the Main Square, both only three minutes and fifteen minutes walk respectively. The rooms were very clean, the staff were very friendly and the buffet breakfast choice was of a high standard. I will definitely book to stay at the NH Bologna De La Gare again!

We were pleasantly greeted on arrival by the host and given detailed information on what we should do during our 1 day/night stay in Bologna. This B&B is situated in the heart of Bologna and is a short walk away from all of the key tourist attractions. It comes with all the luxuries of a hotel but remains homely and welcoming. For breakfast we were offered a range of ...

We were stay at the Royal calton Hotel in Bologna was nice. We had large and comfortable room. And the hotel had a very good parking and the Wifi. The breakfast are not so good as we expect. The hotel should have variety of breakfast buffet. The location from the hotel is very near to the old city so you just can go by walk .

It it located out oity, in the village called Villanova. Public transport was very difficult to use. Even town information centre gave us wrong information, we took a bus and didn't get near. Finally we took a taxi to get there. Bus from Villanova to Bologna came once in the hour on Sundays and bus-stop was not near. Hotel was really nice, large clean rooms and there w...

We stayed at the hotel from 3 until 9 April 2016 specifically to attend Bologna International Children's Book Fair that happened from 4 until 7 April 2016 at Bologna Fiere. Overall, we are satisfied with the hotel. The price was extremely reasonable, room was clean and fully equipped, staff was very accommodating and helpful. The only thing that is lacking is the locat...

I've stayed at dozens of hotels in Europe and this one stands out as a gem. The location is superb - right in the very center of Bologna. Room was spacious, a wonderful view of the garden below and a small but adequate lift to get you to the 4th floor. Hostess is very knowledgeable and efficient. Breakfast was very adequate. Knowing I was leaving early for a train, ...

This hotel was at a great location in Bologna. The hotel rooms were very big and spacious (double rooms) with clean bathroom, beds and new TV equipment. The room itself was a real bargain for that price. The rate included breakfast and the breakfast had ALL you could wish for, lots of fresh fruits, different types of ham/cheese, breads and pastries, different beverage...

I would not suggest this hotel to anyone. The single room is as big as the bathroom. However the staff is usually nice and the location can be quite convenient. Last but not least price. If you are in Bologna passing by and need place to sleep may be this is the best price you can find!

The apartment was well furnished and contained all the amenities we needed (internet, small kitchen, etc). It's a short walk from Bologna Centrale station, and also in walking distance from the heart of the city where most of the historic sites are located. Located in a quiet neighborhood.

I really enjoyed my stay here especially as this hotel has the best view from its rooftop. Every staff is very helpful and speaks english very well (I found local people in Bologna don't really speak english). I would like to stay here again when I visit Bologna definitely.
Cheap places to stay in Bologna

Centrally located to all the main historical landmarks of Bologna just 3 minutes walk you’ll be in the Piazza Maggiore and the shopping center too. it’s also 2 minutes walk parallel to HM and Zara just look for via Monte Grappa sign and it will lead you to Via Porta Il Castello. The rooms and Toilets are super clean, the Staff are efficient and attentive.

Pros: large hostel that you can do a lot of things here indoor and outdoor. Rooms are very clean. Staff is very very helpful and friendly. Breakfast has plenty of options to choose(cereals, jam, ham, cheese, pastries, breads, coffee, milk, soy milk) Cons: just a bit far from the city center. Overall: PERFECT

Superhost who really takes care of You and personally brings You breakfast om a tray. Very big rooms with a magnificent vore över the hills of Bologna. It is though quite thinn walls and I heard a person sleeping in the room nextdoor snawrling all night like a huge machine...

I stayed only one night and the hotel looks closer to downtown on the map than in real life. The Taxi ride from Bologna Termini cost approx. 25 Euro. My destination is the Bologna Fiera and the taxi fare from the hotel is around 20 euro. Nevertheless, it is still cheaper than staying in a downtown hotel with prices inflated during the exhibition period. The room is...

I highly recommend that anyone who is looking to stay in Bologna, then come & stay in this hotel. The staff are so professional & lovely that you feel like your at home with people pampering you. The shower in our room was like an upright spa, with jets of water massaging your body! The outstanding quality of this hotel is by far the Breakfast Buffet. It is totally a m...

The apartment is cozy and quiet however my boyfriend and i did not particularly feel comfortable with our room door being transparent and not to mention it cannot be locked. The bathroom toilet cannot be locked as well. I like staying in this hotel. The room was clean and tidy, there were not many stuff inside, only necessary things, but this is exactly what I prefer. The staff of the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The wi-fi was free of charge and the speed was ok. The room was super clean and quite big which is very good. However, in this B&B info section, they present having a lot of facilities, but for many you have to share with the entire place such as hot pot, iron, hair dryer (the one in our bathroom was burning like it was broken someohw). Breakfast include, but you need to w...

The hotel is attached to a church building in a quiet neighborhood that is very close to the Twin Tower (about 5 minutes walk) and the Main Street (Dell’Indipendenza) but run independently. Because the hotel is half an hour's drive outside Bologna, it is not an ideal location for visiting the city. In addition there is quite a noisy road nearby. The breakfast was excellent and the service there very friendly. Also our room was very comfortable and the triple glazing ensured we did not hear the noise from the road. A small point: we had to make a deposit f...

We have just returned from a short city break in Bologna and are really pleased that we chose to stay at Hotel Touring. The hotel is not too big and has a nice family-run feel to it. We stayed at this lovely hotel for 3 nights. Our room was a good size with pleasant furnishings and a nice bathroom, also good shower ammenities. There was airconditioning which is a must during the hot Italian summer. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic! It had a realy good range of baked goods as well as cereals, fruit, meats and cheese. The staff spoke English and...

We loved Bologna, a charming city, a real hidden treasure without the crowds. The deluxe room was tiny, so small we didn’t even unpack for our two night stay. WiFi didn’t work so finally after we continued to complain throughout the first day they brought a router to the room. It fixed the problem but I’m guessing they don’t have enough routers for every room. Although...

Thoroughly re joyed my stay here. Rooms were nice, staff were excellent and the hotel environment is top notch. Parking is free, and walking into the city of Bologna takes roughly 45 minutes, or you could hop on bus number 20 just outside the hotel, which runs very frequently. If you're driving in Italy and visiting Bologna, look no further.

Bologna is an interesting city that is easy to visit since you can walk everywhere . The museums are open and free on the first Sunday of the month and there is such variety of types of museums for every age and taste.
Bologna is most interesting over weekends when there are lots of free open air musical performances and when the pedestrian shopping steet, Via Del Indipendenza is the most vibrant.
A beautiful and interesting city, well worth a visit - or two. The churches, towers and museums are very good but the best is just walking around the streets.
Bologna is not very touristic as compared to other famous Italian cities. The university quarter there is very nice, with many interesting museums to see.
I went to Maranello for the Ferrari. The Museum was not as special as I thought. But driving a Ferrari is really an expeience that I will never forget.
Bologna has a bit of everything - sights, museums and most especially shops. Shopping is very easy since the shops are all close together and conveniently located under archways so sun and rain is no bother!!
If you went to Firenze, Roma, or other big cities before, you will feel that it is not much to see in Bologna.
nice city to walk around with many religious places and museums to see. restaurants serve good meal at reasonable price.
We came to the region to explore a 'foodie' region together with Parma. As it was december we had less daylight hours but we enjoyed them as well as a couple of nice meals.
Surprisingly lively city. Full of life but not touristy. architecture interesting but in a different way compared to siena or florence for example.
