Brighton is one of the oldest seaside resorts and where the expression "Dirty Weekend" was born! It might well be the hippest, little seaside town in all Britain.
Great festival in May. Hope for sun in the summer as plenty to do on the seafront and a good centre for touring South Downs, shopping and outdoor activities.
Skating and cycling lanes on the promenade. Theatres and cinemas, wide choice of restaurants. Pebble beach.
The Lanes in the backstreets of Brighton are a hive of activity, and plays host to a plethora of amazing restaurants and bars, shops and sights.
I loved this town. It is small but cute. It has the ocean in its view. It had good food. The city is free-spirited and creative (- gratify).
For kids - there is an aquarium/ocean park and a small toy museum. For Sightseers - there is the royal pavilion (= magnificent).
Eccentric.eclectic, great atmosphere.Good for solo travellers especially.Friendly, anything goes kind of town
