"the grand hotel is the grand dame of hotels in brno. it is located steps from the brno main train station. for that reason alone i keep going back to this hotel when in brno for business. the rooms are adequate and very spacious, except the singles which look like a college dorm. be wary of getting a room by busy streets or near the tracks. breakfast is always pleasant and varied. i love the cheeses, the smoke fish, bacon and omellete, but the bread leave much to be desired. there also is a variety of grains, oats and cereals as well a juice. funny, there seems to be more restaurant servers than guests. overall the hotel is adequate and the service and food is good. i will keep coming to this hotel when in town for business because of its location. did i mention the hotel is also close to the city center. just let your feet be adventurous and you'll see what i mean. it's also one of the reasons i stay here, i don't need to take a cab (hate those cab drivers that take you in circles to bump up the fare). just walk behind the hotel and the lovely city opens up to you"

"Regular customer. The best hotel in Brno. Nothing to Complain. Car parking fee of 20.00 euro a little bit atrocious considering its a small town and the parking in the front of the hotel is always empty and yet they charge 20.00 euro for that space."

"My stay at the Courtyard Marriott began by a welcoming gentleman by the name of Ondrej who, even at 3am was cheerful, warm and affable. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the staff is kind, courteous, friendly and warm all round. The breakfast is a great spread and is a worthy add-on for 10Euros if your room is sans breakfast anyways. All-in-all a great stay though I wish I did not have to trudge for 20-minutes to the city centre. "

"The bed is comfortable. Good sleep. Free towel. There are two toilets and two shower rooms. The kitchen is small, shared space also. Maybe you can not cook. Location is good, near the old square. It takes 10 minutes from Bus station in front of Grand hotel. There is no lighting on the bed side. The electric outlet is not enough."

"Very good hotel. We stay in Brno once or twice a year ( for 40 yrs plus)and this was our first booking at this hotel. Although this is at the edge of town it is not a problem. Our only problem was with the door lock to our room. Don't stay in 717! WE were locked out for about an hour. However, this was unfortunate and does not denigrate the good experience! WE are booked for next month, so not a problem. "
