"The hotel is beautiful, beautiful design that puts great emphasis on its history, especially the main restaurant, which is stunning. The rooms are also nice, very comfortable beds and clean. The food was nice but not amazing. Same for the drinks, definitely didn't seem worth the price (£15 for Bellini) as cocktails were mediocre. The breakfast however was generous and the food was lovely. Location was also good, with easy access to walks and only a couple of hours walk to Broadway Tower and back in the snow. While this is not a comment on the hotel, it is worth mentioning that the high street was not treated for snow and ice and so walking outside on the pavements was quite difficult and very slippery. Overall our stay was very pleasant but our biggest disappointment was the spa as they had no spaces for treatments during the 3 days we stayed. We specifically chose this hotel due to the spa and its great reviews and so we were quite shocked that the spa couldn't accommodate treatments during the 3 days. You'd hope that a spa hotel at this standard would have sufficient staff and availability to accommodate its guests. Eventually the hotel did manage to get us a single slot for half an hour, which for a couple stay didn't seem sufficient nor was it quite long enough for the treatments offered. "
