"Had to make a last minute trip to the hill for a funeral. Tourist Lodge was cheap, clean and in a good location. Felt very safe as a solo female traveller and even the shared bathroom wasn't an issue. Would stay again."

"This is false advertising but in addition to this I will be contacting the Hilltop to discuss the fine as the WSH were only supporting the family with financial assistance and I was shocked to receive the additionnal $200. I discussed this with the family who said they did not smoke in the room and were smoking out the front when a staff member advised them the smoking area was at the back so they movied. prior to this there was no indication they were not allowed to smoke out the front of their room and there were tables and chairs with ashtrays so they assumed they were allowed to smoke in this area."

"Very comfortable and the pillows exceeded the normal quality expected in hotel or motel. A little more attention to detail by the house staff by way of fixing two blown lights globes and by management by way of replacing the cracked bathroom basin would make the room of a very high standard. Why are dressing gowns in hotels & motels always made for skinny people? "
