Where to stay in Broken Hill
Broken Hill hotels & accommodations

Great place to stay in Broken Hill, we could walk all around the town, to the galleries, museums, street walks history and very close to the information centre. We stayed 4 nights, outer room had a microwave, toaster and all other needs, so we could self cater. Excellent.

Great hotel. Nice room with a spa! We loved it! Clean and well stocked. Staff really friendly and helpful. The receptionist helped us out in finding places to visit and she even arranged for the return of some books that we inadvertently left behind! Would definitely stay there again. Broken Hill and Silverton are great places to visit.

Very comfortable and the pillows exceeded the normal quality expected in hotel or motel. A little more attention to detail by the house staff by way of fixing two blown lights globes and by management by way of replacing the cracked bathroom basin would make the room of a very high standard. Why are dressing gowns in hotels & motels always made for skinny people?

Thank you so much Carolyn and Gavin for providing totally wonderful accommodation for our Broken Hill stay. After a less than satisfactory stay in Melbourne it was a delight to walk into Jadan cottage and feel so at home. You have done a wonderful job in every way and the cottage made our stay. We can’t thank you enough kind regards from Patti and Marc

This was a great spot to stop cause I could catch up on washing, enjoy a bath, the shower had great pressure/coverage and the bed was comfy. The only disappointment was the previous customer had obviously cooked indian curry there and as soon as we opened the front door the remnants hit us and made us feel sick the entire stay. Spraying air freshener around the whole...

This motel would be an excellent choice for a night's stopover, but we were spending 4 nights in Broken Hill. The Room ticked all the boxes for cleanliness, great en suite and a very good bed. However the room was small with no table / chairs and only one good easy lounge chair. It was so small the only comfortable place to watch the TV (no DVD player) was the bed. (I ...

We used the Broken Hill tourist park, as the only place which would take our small pet dog. The room (at the base level) was pokey and difficult for 2 people to move about. Several things were broken- the air conditioner grill fell off, no soap in the shower soap holder, broken power point. In its favour, it was , and has a good location. I will continue to use the par...

This cottage is in the middle of the desert, yet surrounded by a beautiful garden. We we fortunate enough to meet the owners from down the road and they were the best part of our stay. A great couple who enjoy giving people an experience they will never forget. A great weekend in B/Hill for St Pats races. Thanks guys. Loved it. Nick n Mardi. 5 Stars.

This is false advertising but in addition to this I will be contacting the Hilltop to discuss the fine as the WSH were only supporting the family with financial assistance and I was shocked to receive the additionnal $200. I discussed this with the family who said they did not smoke in the room and were smoking out the front when a staff member advised them the smoking...

First time at Red Earth Motel, and it won’t be the last. Traditionally stayed on the other side of town at Ibis Styles, which I thought was one of the better offerings in Broken Hill. Red Earth offer, much larger rooms in a much more modern environment.

The Imperial Fine Hotel is a gorgeous old hotel. My children (3, 8 and 10) loved poking about in the stately communal areas downstairs and swanned about watching big screen TV in the hotel robes in our double apartment upstairs. The shared balcony is spacious and a lovely spot to have breakfast or a cuppa. The kids used the pool and the 'do it yourself' breakfast was v...

Liz and Seb make you feel welcome the moment you check in. The rooms are spacious with a comfortable bed, and great seating around the room including a table with two chairs, two lounges to relax and a study nook desk for you computer / ipad! The bathroom is fine and the grounds compact but user friendly...as is the BBQ and the pool. Will stay there again and many than...

Booked Cottage 1, 10 months in advance. Checked in, given an awful motel room. When asked, owner blamed Agoda for not charging enough for the cottage so downgraded my booking and resold the cottage. I said that’s not my fault, any why was I not contacted? Owner says can’t contact, didn’t have my phone number. Lies, as Agoda have my number. Zero customer service. Ve...

Real reviews for hotels
Broken Hill is a mining town with 150 years of history. It is about Australia's mining pioneers, aboriginal history and modern art.
The entire town is based on the mining industry from its early days. It is somewhat unique due to its isolation.
Lovely quiet town. Just so relaxing. No hustle and bustle of busy traffic. A day trip to Silverton is advised.
Being close to the desert, it can be extrememly hot during the day & freezing at night,so take warm clothing also.
