Best hotels & accommodations in Bucharest

Hotel was nice and clean, the staff was very nice and helpfull. Coffee and tee given in the room. We had a large flat with 2 bathrooms and a washing machine wich is handy. The location is not the best but mot very bad either and the taxy in there is very cheap, to get to the center of Bucharest we used to pay the equivalent of 2 pounds. Masive Carefour shopping center...

I have made research about all hotels in Bucharest before I decided on this one. I even booked last minute but everything went smoothly. 4 star hotel, good location and facilities were fine. They didn't have a kettle so I asked for one, they lent me without any fuss. So I guess the staff service was great too. And fast I might add. From airport you can take a bus 78...

Although it was built in 1972, it's totally renewed and now it's as good as new. Pros: clean medium-sized rooms, nice bathrooms, well-filled minibar, free swimming pool at the last floor (real stunning panorama over the city while swimming)and spa (sauna, hammam, massage, fitness, free fruits), price (at this price you can only find some 4 star hotels nearby, without s...

This is an excellent hotel, located right in the centre of Bucharest. It is an old, historical hotel but has been completely and tastefully modernised and the rooms are large, comfortable and quiet. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the concierge can help with directions, booking taxis and other enquiries. There is a wide range of choices available at break...

We chose this hotel because of its central location in Bucharest and the excellent reviews and very reasonable price. It was everything advertised and more. On first impression it seemed small and unassuming, tucked into a simple side street. We didn't rent a car but it was easy to find and a comfortable walk to the places we wanted to go. The staff could not have ...

I've stayed here lots of times; having worked in Bucharest for 18 months. If you smile or talk to the staff they respond fantastically, but then I've always found Romanians are among the freindliest and helpfull people around (well maybe not to each other but to non Romanians!!). The hotel is in a great location right in the centre of town; within walking distance...

The hotel was arranged through Viking Cruise Lines and check-in was a breeze, taking only a few minutes. The room was very clean, bed comfortable, and pillows easy to sleep on. The bathroom had an abundance of toiletries, which were restocked the very next day. Check-out was also hassle-free and if necessary, the bell hops will hold your luggage. Great job Sofitel, and...

we stayed in this hotel on the last day of our stay in bucharest because our flight on the following day was early. we enjoyed swimming pool and the gym after. they had two restaurants ; one for international food and the other for romanian food where we had a lovely meal. we appreciated the free transport to the airport. it would've been much more appreciated if the h...

We had a wonderful time in Bucharest staying at the Rembrandt hotel. It was the perfect location to see the sights of the city and as it was our first time in Bucharest, that made for a wonderful time. The staff was wonderful with suggestions and very helpful during our stay. We would recommend the Rembrandt to anyone and plan to stay there on our next trip to Buc...

From booking in and the welcome from the door to the farewell and taxi to the Airport, NOTHING was to large or small in the enjoyment of the stay. And WOW the "Handy" phone was brilliant, even if only as a GPS map guide to get you home on the walks around the hotel and city. What was also great the room although on the street side was so quite, OK not a lot of road noi...

after all we spent a pleasant time, good cleaning room service, nice and friendly people. No bad surprises. they offer what they advertise. Definitely is a place to stay for two lovers visiting Bucharest. You can walk to a lot of fancy downtown restaurants and clubs. No need a cab. Special thanks to their bellboy Mr Mitica - very friendly and helpful, giving you a safe...

We were stunned that our room looked on to parliament which was really something. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Lovely big spacious room with bed and seating area (I believe we had a queen suite). Wasn’t so nice to find a whole two feet worth of toenails clippings though :oS Otherwise breakfast wasn’t anything to shout about but was ok. Staff great! Location wi...

We decided to stay here in spite of its non-central location because we were only staying a day in Bucharest before leaving for Sinaia. The room was big enough and equipped with TV and fridge. Bathroom was quite small but alright. The shower didn't drain well but not too bad. Overall, good value for the money but if you plan on touring Bucharest, probably not the best ...

The price is cheap. But it's hard to find a host or staff to help as his office open at 9:30am and closed at 6 or 7pm. If u travel there, u will go out before 9:30 and back after 7pm! 1st day we check in, we found there is only one roll toilet paper in the apartment. But we are 3 ppl and staying 3 nights. So we ask more toilet paper. then they sent one more roll to ...

The wonderful staff at Mercure BCC went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. The ladies at reception and in particular Alexandra and Mirela answered our many questions always with a smile, readily helping us to arrange tours and taxis with no drama at all. They were great with kids too — many thanks for my daughter's soft toys! The location of the hotel is perfect ...

This hotel was a godsend after travelling all day to Bucharest OTP Airport via Manchester and Heathrow Airport, coupled with an early a.m train journey to Brasov (2.5 hour duration) next day. Clean, comfortable, helpful staff, extremely handy for not only the station and Met, but a secure, indoor ATM machine just a stones throw away, en route to station. I highly reco...

It is only about 15 minutes from Baneasa airport and the shopping mall with the Carrefour. There are 2 minimarkets across the street for late night beverages and avoiding the minibar. It is close to Aurel Vlaicu Metro. Free wifi, but my connection was intermittent. They have a free PC in the lobby with a wired connection and no charge for a few prints.

pullman /Sofitel under Accor hotel chain live up to its professional name and services, from airport hotel transfer, porter/concierge services, sumptuous breakfast spread and private limousine services with professional driver. We stayee at hotel Duke as group of 3 friends. Locatiom os amazing: walking distance of 10 mins from the old town and bus 793 stop, that takes you directly to the airport. Rooms are spacios enough with big mirror, occupying the whole wall. Somr rooms have cute balconies which is perfect for smoking outside im sunny weather. Staff are helpful, they even provide free um...

we total stay 3 nights in this hotel. what we satisfied most is the location and decoration in the room. we usuallu walk from train station to this hotel around 5 min with big baggage. the standard room is bit small for 2 people. so we advise to book "comfort room". the size of comfort room is comfortable to 2 people. we recommend this hotel to the travelers who ...

1. The staff were very nice considering the fact we arrived quite late. 2.the room was very clean ,they changed the towels every day and cleaned it. 3.for now they don't have a chef ,hence why you can't have breakfast ,but they have an area from where you can get tea coffee 4.the only thing they should change is the mattress ....it can be seen that was used too much ,...

Very welcoming and accommodating staff. Spacious, airconed and well maintained rooms! I took the breakfast option, there was a decent selection of food (from eggs/ sausage to cereal and pastries) and to drink coffees / teas / Juices. The location is great and very central (4 minute walk to the metro station, 26 minute walk to the 'Old town', 26 minute walk to the cent...

only chose this hotel as it was near to the airport to facilitate our last day in Bucharest. unfortunately TV was small and had a green hue, and wi-fi was spotty at times in the room. there was also no complimentary bottled water. fortunately staff was polite and helpful, and breakfast (eggs) were cooked on the spot. our hotel driver to the airport as part of the free ...

I booked without breakfast. There is no nearby cafe for breakfast. There is an outlet at UPD entrance to buy pastry and coffee but no place to sit down. I ended paying 30 lei per day for breakfast, a total of 90 lei for 3 days but I received a receipt only for 60 lei. Ehem.... The room was clean enough and the aircond works. It was useful during hot day. However there ...

Our booking said no breakfast included, so we were very shocked on our last day when we decided to ask if we can possibly pay for our breakfast because we wanted to stay in late and not leave early in the morning and we learned we had free breakfast all along. And the breakfast was great! Toilet and shower room is very spacious but water leaks on the floor after taking...

Hotel Armonia is located in Sector 2 Bucharest. The hotel is located in a side street not far from the Old City and the Uniri Square. Large comfortable room, cozy and clean for 2 guests. A small dining room an...

My stay at Tristan’s place was a 12 out of 10 :) He goes out of his way to make ur stay as enjoyable and stress free as possible. I am already looking to book one of His places on my next stay in Bucharest. The location of the a...

The hotel is nicely located, very clean and the staff are most helpful. The breakfast could use a makeover, as it is very basic and with low quality ingredients. Also, the bathroom fixtures are starting to fall apart. Apart from these minor details, I would highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay.

Having stayed at 4 hotels in Romania, this rates up there with the best. It is a modern hotel with all of the amenities you could want. Its a brand new hotel based in the city center. Excellent location to see most of the famous places. Decent rooms and facility. Excellent value for money. As it is a new Hotel, you will see lot of things are going to change depending on customer feedback.

i only stayed here as it was close to the airport. It is about 1.5 hours on local transport from the city centre so it's really not worth staying here if you want to sightsee. The hotel had 2 private functions whilst i was staying overnight so both restaurants (an older one and a newer one) were in use. therefore i had dinner in the lobby area and the food was the wors...

The hotel is very conveniently located at the heart of the Bucharest city centre, with a metro stop right next to it. While the surrounding is nothing to write home about, one feels safe walking around. And there are convenient stores and very decent (not pricy) restuarants just around the corner. Staff was friendly and helpful. Though choices are limited, breakfa...

-Very affordable with nice comfortable rooms. -Amazing room service, you basically leave your room to go out and come back to a very neat room. -Hotel restaurants' food is amazing and is not ridiculously expensive like other hotels. -Only drawbacks are hotel location and no swimming pool.

This hotel was centrally located and had easy access to other parts of Bucharest. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel offered a nice breakfast buffet. The service at the hotel was friendly and efficient. This hotel's wifi worked well and was relatively fast. I would stay at this hotel again in the future.

Traveler impressions of Bucharest
Having been to Bucharest three times in the last two years, I'm getting accustomed to its ways. If you are polite and not too critical, the Romanians are charming, and they have a sense of playfulness that runs across everything - from their menus to their museums to their clubs to their gun ranges.
Good place to eat, drink, party, meet new people! Crowded, not a lot of stuff to visit except the PEOPLE'S HOUSE, bigest building in the city!
The city itself is pretty gray, noisy and full of annoying ads. There aren't that many things to see, with the exception of some historical, cultural or administrative buildings.
Bucharest is FULL of history. Parliament house is very interesting. Old Town is quaint. other than that, there isnt much to do.
the general population of Romania is so much more than we know from our side of Europe. Absolutly something I will recomand to my friends.
Bucharest is a historical city, especially the old town. But the building are lack of maintenance, thus the appearance are not very well.
at the first time, you may don't like this city. the economy classes are diversed as I see. the city is getting modern but because of the inflation, the things price cost lots.
Great city with very firendly inhabitants. Of course there are lots of gypsies who are annoying people thats a part of the country.
too big with too many run downs and attraction is not tourist friendly. city map provided by hotel and at airport is not very clear for direction .
