Cairo hotels & accommodations

I spent a weekend in Cairo and wanted a bit of comfort. The Conrad has all the luxury of a five star hotel if location is not a priority. It is about 10 blocks from the Egypt Museum and the centre of town. The hotel is right next to the Nile and the "Nile view" from your room is spectacular. But you would have to take a taxi to any of the major tourist sites in Cai...

This hotel is located right in the center of Cairo. Forget the news reports: It was very safe to be right next to Tahrir Square as of December 2013, and frankly, as someone who has been to Cairo many times, this was the most quiet I've ever seen the city. Now is the time to visit. There was literally no sign of political unrest while I was there. About the hotel: I...

We have some cities in Egypt to visit, Cairo is our first destination, then we will be in Alexandria, then back to cairo. During our travel, the staff Sammy from concierge help us to book the excurison and help us with train tickets and arragne our luggage to airport which we need not be back to Hitlon, and he kindly call me for many times for my agenda changed, and he...

honestly the hotel was magical i spent almost 8 days at the hotel and i really enjoyed the time there. the staff were amazing they would never refuse a request from you especially Mr. Muhammed salah in the hotel reception and Ms. Menna muhammed i would recommend you ask for them directly if you had any trouple becase they would help you immediately

I had sooooooo much trouble looking for the hotel. The local taxi drivers (not just one of them but a few of them) have no idea where the hotel is... One of them kept telling me that there is only two hiltons in Cairo, and we had to go to all two of them before we've finally arrived at the right one, the Cairo World Trade Centre Residence. When we arrived at the other ...

Westin standard. Food is tasty, generous and price reasonable. Twice visit to dunes bar. The staffs really tried hard to ensure that your dining was pleasant. Strawberry juice is a must. Only problem is, the toilet was smelly. That is the only reason i gave 3 stars for cleanliness. Despite deep cleaning by housekeeping, it still smells. Well toilet factor is a big fact...

Great service and friendly staff, particularly Mr Mohamed manager of the "blue restaurant", and Mr Islam of guest relations, who both made our stay agreeable. Wonderful breakfast and buffet, highly recommended!! Comfortable and clean rooms. Well maintained building. Services and professionalism at Kempinsky is way better than other 5-star in Cairo. Well done!

Connection to Citystar Mall thru the basement. Check-in to one bedroom apartment, which can accommodate 4 adults. The apartment is big, provide comfortable bed but improvement required on the sofa bed. Complete cooking utensils provided in the apartment. Free laundry in the basement is very helpful. Breakfast is just ordinary but is sufficient and can bring the breakfa...

I really enjoyed the stay. The staff were very polite , helpful and especial thanks to Ayman, jaafar from Reception. The breakfast was great with a lot of variety. Room is spacious and clean. The location is nearby Airport in New CAIRO with close proximity to Mall, restaurants and shopping areas. I will always choose Dusit Thani Lakeview for my stay in Egypt.

I stayed for a total of 6 nights. I took a cab from the airport. I was charged 250 EGP. I suggest getting online and booking an Uber ride (it costs less than 200 EGP). You can buy a local SIM card at the airport for 200 EGP. Well worth it as it is cheaper to take Uber than regular cabs in Cairo. Everything with the hotel was fine-- strategic location, good (changing) ...

The Intercontinental Hotel is located in a great area, with only 15 minutes from Cairo International Airport. In every respect, the hotel was great: cleanliness, hospitality of staff, good food and spacious rooms with all the facilities expected from a 5-star hotel. With the situation in Cairo still unstable, Security within the hotel and the Citystars Mall is top-notc...

I chose the Golden Park Hotel because of its proximity to Cairo International Airport. It's a budget priced hotel ten minutes away by taxi or Uber. The room was decent: not too small, and the air conditioning worked well. Satellite tv afforded a number of options. The breakfast buffet on the top floor with the outdoor veranda was quite nice. The neighborhood is safe if...

i would like to thank all the staff i n this hotel.it is one of the best hotel i ever been.breakfast and location were amazing.i did not face any problem.shopping center is nearby the hotel. if i have a chance and vist cairo,i will stay in this hotel and that for sure inshaa allah.

I stayed here 5 nights and it was good value for money! * The hotel has a boutique style charm - it’s basic but very comfortable. * My room was spacious and clean - I would recommend a room with a balcony. * Location is great - 5 min walk to the museum, 10 min walk to the Nile. * Staff are very friendly and accommodating - they helped me organise all my tours over e...

I stayedthere during my one day layover, from 5 am to 12:00 am. Shortly after I got off the plane (even before going through passport control), I met a hotel employee holding a paper saying my name. I was surprised cause I was not really sure if someone would actually come to pick me up, let alone before even entering Egypt. With the help of that hotel employee, I went...

The location is great for a business traveller. 10 mins. from Airport. There is a free shutle. They have a "meet & greet" option . WHere Hotel sends a car for you and the driver meets you inside the Arrival hall. Very reasonable rates. Rooms are very comfortable. No shopping ot mall nearby/within walking distance. Peaceful & quiet location. Unlike most of Cairo.

This was our second stay at this hotel. Our experience was great but not as good as our first day. The reception seemed a little disorganized during check-in, and allowed a couple people to cut the line (the people who cut the line also took up quite a bit of time -- they weren't just there to ask quick questions). The doormen were very insistent on taking our bags (fo...

I have to say Mr Wael is the best, he always did more than I asked for. Other staff were also very nice and helpful. The place is pretty hard to find since it is in the 10th story of a normal house (no worries, there is an elevator). I can't imagine having had more help during our stay in Cairo. Our flight and bags were delayed but the hotel sent a taxi driver who waited patiently for us (at 3 am!) with a great car. Dia recieved us warmly upon our arrival and was happy to accommodate a few requests right away. After serving us a delicious Egyptian breakfast (falafels, pita, beans, greens and tea!...

arabian nights hostel in islamic cairo area is perfect if you want to avoid downtown midan tahrir area (protests/ demonstrations). the hotel is literally 5-10 walk to the khan khalili market and the al muizz st where you can do a walking tour to see a lot of amazing complexes, mosques. it is also across the street from awesome koshary restaurant! rooftop is lovely to h...

i recommend the cairo city center hotel to everybody who wants to feel the impulses of the real egypt and cairo. than hotel is really in the center of the city, you can reach every tourist district in minutes. however except from the hotel we didn't see any tourists. the tharir square and the egyiptian museum is about 1 minute far by walk and we can go on walk for sh...

Busy district of downtown Cairo, you can feel the vibe of Egyptians. Street markets are nice and the party goes on late at night. There are a couple of bars nearby. The hotel is fine for the price. Elevator is old but working. Everything else is working. Real friendly staff.

Small hotel in central Cairo - walking distance to all the attractions, staff assisted with good tourist info and tour packages. Great location downtown. Near a famous Koshari restaurant (Abou Tarek) and you can walk to Egyptian museum of the Nile. A taxi to the pyramids cost 100 to 200 Egyptian pounds. Use UBER (better). Watch the scams at Giza, they are everywhere. From paying at the toilet (free) or expensive or raisin prices. People at this guest house are helpful. They called me Uber. Break...

Located just off Mokattam Street in Cairo, the apartment hotel seemed a bit 60s in style, especially the one-bedroomed apartment I stayed in. Not much to praise in terms of creature comforts - very small TV, kitchen with few really useful appliances but would be ok for home-cooking. Bedroom upstairs was ok but all was pretty cold and decor was dubious! Also, there was...

The staff and owner are very accommodating and friendly. The location is very safe and convenient. The atmosphere that the marble tiles give really add a special feel. Great city to visit in the Arab world. Once does not understand the region unless he/she visit Egypt.
Never miss the Giza pyramids and Sphinx area Islamic old Cairo with Mohamed Ali mosque/citadel is not to be missed Egyptian Museum is also an attraction worth visiting
is the capital of Egypt and the largest city in the Middle-East and Africa. you have to visit pyramid, Al-Azhar Park, Egyptian Antiquities Museum, Mohamed Ali Mosque and Khan Al-Khalili st.
Messy,riot,striking,...... Too bad to have a city like that will never plan to visit again unless you are superb interest into pyramid until can give up your own security.
Cairo is a very dirty city in terms of traffic and cleanliness. it is also over populated. it is usual like and other tourist city people here try to make the most money from tourists by over charging for sight seeing.
City show which features the beauty and modernity and history, the people of Cairo kind in general, you can enjoy local excursions and nightlife, many cafes and restaurants, and most of them with beautiful sites, and good services.
I am very pleased.I am very pleased.I am very pleased.I am very pleased.I am very pleased.I am very pleased.
Now is the best time to visit Cairo (or anywhere in Egypt!) there are no tourists so no queues for any of the attractions.
Cairo is an amazing city, I love the people helpful and friendly ... I am fascinated flavorful food, unfortunately Cairo need more government influence to make it more attractive to tourism, there are a lot of garbage near the biggest attractions and a bit run the fronts of the buildings .

cairo is a ver big city, full of adventures and history. the city never sleeps. the city mall is a heaven for shoppers, from high street shops to egyptian brands.
Is a ver busy city, shops are hardly closed. The roads are busy 24 hrs.good for shopping. Monuments, museums, malls and many historical site for tourist.
If you are going on your own, you need to be prepared for hassle by a lot of people along the way. It starts from the airport.
Personally I did not like Cairo. It just felt like a very hostile environment. Some Taxi drivers tried to rip me off.
We had a wonderful time even though we were there only for 3 days. It is a magical place, especially Giza and the Pyramids.
We didn't get to see much of Cairo as we were only there for 2 days during the election. We spent a day visiting the pyramids, the following day we went to the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities and we chilled at the hotel at the El Tahrir Square was getting busy due to the elections.
