"We stayed in the Callander Hostel for 3 nights in a private room (4-bed dorm turned private room when required) having spent nights in a variety of hostels in NZ and Australia (both dorm and private rooms) before but never in the UK. Our stay exceeded our expectations as the hostel provided the right blend of privacy and communal facilities that we wanted and made our whole stay effortless and comfortable. Very handy free car park at the hostel, secure rooms, clean communal areas with sufficient appliances as well as a cafe should you wish to use it. Fast WiFi given the rural location, very hot water should it be required, comfy bedding after a day spent climbing a nearby Ben, and an exceptionally peaceful night’s sleep (either everyone was equally exhausted or respectful). Tea, coffee and kettle in the private room was a bonus, and the staff were very friendly and approachable at all times. Callander is a lovely little town and it was a pleasure to spend a few nights here, thank you!"
