Secrets The Vine Cancun Resort & Spa - All inclusive - Adults only

"I stayed at Secrets last week for a few nights and was absolutely impressed by the high standards and quality of the staff, the services and the facilities. It happened to be in the middle of a category-4 hurricane and we had to be evacuated to a shelter (a private school) for one night. The General Manager Mr. Jean-Pierre Sorin and his staff went above and beyond to ensure all the guests were well taken care of and our safety and comfort were their priority. They prepared the process so much before, during and after the evacuation, and provided the best communication anyone can hope for under the circumstances. And all of them stayed with the guests in the shelter overnight with some of the staff staying behind in the property to ensure everything properly cared for. They didn’t tend to their own families during such a dangerous emergency, instead they stayed with us and took care of us (including providing all kinds of entertainment activities in the shelter). I was absolutely impressed and touched. As an experienced world traveler for decades, I would say their services during this special are the best I’ve ever experienced. When we returned to the hotel after the hurricane, almost everything immediately went back to normal, from the restaurants to the live entertainment and to the beach services. And the staff spent the entire day to clean the pools which were impacted adversely by the hurricane. In addition, the hotel itself is beautifully and tastefully designed throughout. Six Restaurants on the property are all great with delicious food, especially Dragon (oriental cuisine), Sea Salt (seafood) and the Italian restaurant. The wine selection was also huge and impressive. We had a delicious bottle of a 2012 Roederer Brut Rose. Anyhow, we will definitely return to the Secret in the future. "

More about Cancun

Located in the Mexican Caribbean, Cancun is a popular resort destination that attracts vacationers from all over North America and the rest of Mexico, as well as the rest of the world. The city is served by Cancun International Airport, which is about six miles outside of the major Cancun hotel district. The airport is busiest during the winter months leading into spring, when North Americans flee toward the warmth of the tropics. Getting to the resorts is made easy by the availability of shuttle buses and hotel pick-ups.

Offering visitors a great mix of the relaxed Caribbean beach days and a lively nightlife, the resorts and hotels of Cancun are as suitable for families as they are for single vacationers looking for a whirlwind vacation. Most of the hotels and resorts of Cancun are concentrated within the Hotel Zone, which is home to the highest number of all-inclusive resorts and activities geared directly toward tourists.

Activities in Cancun usually involve a beach chair and a cocktail, though there are plenty of more elaborate options available. Traditional bull fights, similar to those seen in Mexico City, are staged in Cancun. Not for the squeamish, these exciting affairs offer fascinating insight into the culture of the Yucatan Peninsula. If the beautiful turquoise waters and white sands aren’t enough, travelers can engage in water activities such as snorkeling and diving, which are often arranged by the hotels and resorts.

Of course, there’s a lot more to see and do in Cancun and the best way to discover what else this city has to offer in terms of attractions, landmarks, and hotels is by exploring the interactive map on this page.
