Best hotels & accommodations in Cancun

Located far enough away from the "party area" of the Hotel Zone to be peaceful, but close enough to be convenient. We stayed for 3 nights in March 2018, at $134 USD/night and I think that was a fair price for the amenities. Concierge was helpful and everyone was friendly. Located right in front of the beach, with a decent view from probably every room. Some resorts tou...

Overall our experience at the Excellence Riviera Cancun was an exceptional value for the money we paid (which was a premium over the Christmas holiday but still lower than most all-inclusive resorts in the area). Our suite was spacious with double vanities in the bathroom and a large walk-in shower. We stayed for 7 nights and had dinner at a different restaurant every...

Room had a beautiful view, best time to go NOT CROWDED NO SPRING BREAKERS..only stated 2 days but will definitely be back. The pool area was clean water was warm, staff was very attentive ,cant say enough about about it,definitely a diamond in the ruff..Alot of revie...

This place was beyond my expectations! The staff was friendly and nice. We did get a room upgrade at a discounted, and the view from our balcony was spectacular. They really treated us like a VIP all throughout our stay! Also our breakfast by the balcony was the best experience!

Overall, I had a blast time stayed at this hotel. I wish the room was more clean and updated. The bathroom shower was bad. We can’t even turn on full water or else water will splashes all over the floor. When I booked the hotel I wanted a King bed for me and my husband. But we end up with double beds and no views. Beside the room , I love the food and the staffs was ve...

I don't normally do Mexico but I was there with a group for a birthday celebration. They went through a travel agent but I booked with Agoda. There was no difference in service what so ever. We had visited for a friends wedding the previous year and decided to go to another spot for a trial. After 1 night at the new resort we booked this place while in Cancun. We found the Foyer and main dining room remodeled and quality still up to our exoectations. The drinks selection could be improved but that’s only because I saw they have JW red label instead of Bla...

The reason for choosing this hotel is because I was under the impression that this is an all exclusive adults only hotel. But we were surprised that the hotel was swarming with children. Nothing wrong with it but just false advertisement and misleading information. It was even briefed to us that it is an adults only hotel. Jacuzzi was one we were looking forward to was...

The beach is absolutely world class. Amazing sand and clear water. This alone makes the Grand Oasis worth it, but then you add in the 1/4 mile long pool, day parties/concerts, and views of Cancun from the Pyramid and the beach deck are breathtaking. The scene during March and April (Spring Break) is for singles looking for a good time. The bars and pool are always ...

Hello, I am Taehoon Choi in Korea (South). I stayed your hotel in last month. Checked in 28th Nov and checked out 30th Nov 2018. I booked through Agoda. I gave you 300USD as a deposit when I checked in, but I didn't get it back yet. I issued by my credit card what is MasterCard_KBCARD. And the owner of this credit card is Mr.TAEHOON CHOI. I'd really appreciate it, if...

I have been to Mexico atleast 7 times, I have stayed at all-inclusives before. I consider myself and savvy travel shopper. Not just a value traveler, we also will do luxury. We had my daughters best friend from college with us. I had promised the parents not to leave resort due to the unrest in Mexico's political climate at this time. I chose this resort because it had...

This was a great resort/experience. The staff was overwhelmingly accomodating and pleasant. They went out of their way to ensure a great experience. Food and drink quality was fantastic. If I were to choose anything to mark less than perfect was that the rooms seems slightly "out of date." Nevertheless would definitely recommend.

Location is right in a perfect spot of hotel zone. 3 minute drive to downtown cancun but far enough away to have some quiet time on the beach if sought out. All inclusive foods, drinks were out of this world. There were never a time of the day or night you couldn't order food. Drinks stopped at 1am, at the lobby bar. Room service provided such high quality food i just ...

Nice Service even though it has been already all-inclusive I stayed four nights in this hotel and surprise that staffs served nicely !! The service is enough for me to pay extra tips for their hard-working... First choice when I will visit Cancun for next time!!

We had a wonderful stay at GR Solaris Cancun Resort. This day was simply an additional day added on to our 4 night stay because we didn't want to leave! Peter, our concierge was a great help. The entire Entertainment Staff kept us included in all activities, and kept everything very fun! I wish I had half of their energy! Our servers, especially David in Marco Polo, a...

I had really a great experience staying in such an amazing resort . Location is perfect , u can find around lots of restaurants, shopping and clubs . Beach is nice and u can go to another beaches related to your neighbor hotels . I really loved my room with the amazing sea view and balcony . The room has been cleaned every day with changing a new bed set ! Stuff is rea...

Weird hotel. Obviously was intended as a shopping centre but then somebody decided to turn it into a hotel. Rather eery as the escalators are turned off, they have a hottub which is empty and the hotel is designed as a plastic mayan design on the outside, but the rooms have a fashion design theme. The combination of themes do not make sense. However, in a reasonabl...

This rental just happened to have a fantastic view of the beach so it was easy to tell when swimming conditions were best. Cancun is a great place to visit the ocean can bee too rough for young children. There are many great places you can go with young children that are a lot of fun here.

Very disappointed with the attempt to remake the hotel image. For those of us that are frequent travelers and visited the hotel during its first years of operation continued to come back because we expected a certain adult vibe from this hotel. This year I had heard that the hotel was loosing clientele but was willing to give it a try any way. But as opposed to bookin...

My first Cancun experience became wonderful thanks to GR Caribe By Solaris. All staffs are very kind and helpful. All restaurant's foods and drinks are excellent. Especially Marco polo is my best place. Don't miss making the reservation. I have 4-year-old daughter. She loves all pools and Kids club. She enjoyed water slides again and again. If I had to pick up disappoi...

This hotel is perfectly located in the center of the North shore, the best beach on Isla Mujeres. it also sits promptly at the end of the main street on the island (where all restaurants and shops are) for easy access to everything else. the hotel itself is small and pretty simple RE facilities, but everything is well kept and presented nicely. we had very little i...

Clean and basic rooms are a bit "faded" but in a great location, comfortable, spotless and steps from Isla's best beach. Can't be beat for the price - also have golf carts available for guests to rent which you can reserve by calling the hotel. Very short cab ride from ferry piers.

Had a very pleasant experience. The free breakfast in the morning was quite good. The fruit was so fresh . The best feature was the free shuttle to the airport as taxis were very expensive in Cancun. Everyone spoke proficient English and were very friendly. This is a great hotel for people leaving Cancun early on theorming and don't want to spend ridiculous ai pri...

Me and my boyfriend just came back from a 4 days stay at The Royal in Cancun and there is nothing we could say that would have made it more perfect. The location, the rooms, the restaurants, the staff, the service, the decoration, the view, absolutely everything was wonderful. We will definetely go back and stay there again. When we arrived, our Royal Concierge asked...

Boutique hotel with about 90 suites. Located in Puerto Morelos, not Cancun. The beach was horrible. One of the main reasons I go to Mexico is to enjoy the beach. The water was brown and smelled. Nobody was swimming in it. I drove 20 minutes north to the Hotel Zone to a public beach and it was amazing. On a positive note, the hotel staff are excellent, very frien...

I was already in Mexico and my friends flight arrived late at night. We had a bus to catch the following morning. A little tricky to find, I speak some Spanish which helped communciating. We were lucky to have the apartment to ourselves. Very clean and apartment had all the kitchen supplies we needed. Short taxi to bus terminal. Nice patio to have a drink on.The lady ...

the mansion giahn bed & breakfast was such a quaint place to stay. there are a variety of rooms to choose from & each of them are budget friendly. the bottom floor consists of an open foyer/common room, a living room, dining room & kitchen and visitors have access to each. the weather in cancun is always lovely so the windows & doors are usually left open to allow a...

The Hotel just opposite to Cancun Exhibition Centre with nearby mall and restaurants. Environment of the Hotel is relaxing. Free Wifi available in reception hall is good. Rooms are clean and comfortable with adequate facilities but is a bite noisy for rooms near the side of nightclubs and bars. Staff are friendly and helpful in providing service. In sum, Cancun Club Ho...

Unfortunately we checked out a night earlier as the building noise that surrounds the property started a 8am and it was unbearable, The staff were very helpful, we forgot a wallet when we left and they kept it until the next day for us. Breakfast was very unimpressive....just a packet of croissants and instant coffee

If you are looking for a quick stop in Cancun I believe it is great for the close connections. Airport is close, bus station for the beach is in front and Ado and Collectivo station also within walking distance. I do believe its is a bit pricey for the value but I would still reccomend it for the above reasons. Thank you!

- As with another Cancun hotel, the bed comes with very little sheets, so you will want to ask for more. - The hotel is old but everything works and is acceptable quality. This being a budget hotel you would expect this. - The shower in my room didn't drain properly so there was always a puddle in the shower. The shower stall is nice. - The A/C didn't seem to have an...

This hotel was not horrible. It is great if you are staying by yourself with out a family or just want the cheapest hotel in Cancun. The staff was friendly and the hotel was old but CLEAN! I did eat one meal at the restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised, the food was really fresh and cheap. I had a GPS but still I spent 2 hours trying to find it.

It's across from Ramada so it's not hard to find. The room was small, no room to walk around. The bed was ok, not great. There was no outlet close to the bed. Breakfast was toast and coffee or tea. We stayed for 1 night so I guess it's good if you have an early fllight or need to catch an early bus. ADO is very close, they have an airport bus which has it's own ticket ...

The hotel is outside of the hotel area, which is nice for those who don´t like the typical beach tourism and related areas. It was easy to get to the beach, though, by public bus right in front of the hotel in about 20 minutes. Close to the hotel was also a very nice public market place with all kinds of local food specialities at really local prices. The hotel itself ...

great hotel in downtown. i stayed here at the start and end of my visit to mexico very good prices, clean and brilliant staff. victoria + gema on reception were very helpful. breakfast was decent, though there is also a very good juice bar on the opposite corner of the road. pool was nice for a dip to cool off. wifi was good in certain areas, but didn't re...

Driving around Cancun is tricky since the streets aren't well marked. However it is pretty easy to find this hotel even in the dark. There is one road into Puerto Juarez. Follow the road into Puerto Juarez and the hotel is across the street from the main terminal. Easy... The staff spoke English and were very helpful. There is free WiFi in the lobby. The rooms h...

I booked this hotel at the last minute, when most of the other hotels in town were full. The photos of the rooms seemed a bit tired but adequate for my 5 night stay. When I checked in, the room I got was small, dingy and the bed was soft as a marsh mellow. When I asked if there was another room, the proprietor showed me Room #8 on the second floor, with two beds, one ...

I booked this hotel for my first night in Cancun as I was arriving late There was limited availability of hotels at this time also. Firstly, because it was between christmas and new year, and secondly because I had left it quite late to book. The Hotel was clean, but pretty basic. It seemed to cater for mostly Mexican travellers. The staff were lovely and willing t...

- Location : If you need to book a tour, restaurants and shops, this place is very far away. This place is located on the South, but most of the shops and agencies are on the North. We had to take a taxi every time to go to the centro, which costs 50pesos for one way. Even though you do activities at the southern part, you have to go to the agencies which is on the nor...

the best for the value! we stayed here for three nights before going to cuba, and when we came back from cuba, we decided to stay here again for four nights. probably the best hotel we've stayed at in the entire mexico. the room was very clean with a huge and comfortable bed, flat screen tv with lots of channels (not that you have much time to watch tv when you're in c...

The person in charge was very kind and very helpful. If we had any questions about anything he would help immediately. The location was a little hard to find for our taxi driver but once you are there it is hard to miss. Since it is near a park it can be a little noisy with birds ay times so I recommend ear plugs but either than that, there were no complaints. The beds...

Great location to visit Quintana Roo and Yucatán - lots of history nearby. Coral reef 5 minutes away, Cenotes and water parks 30 minutes away. Staff was amazing - from check in to check out we had absolutely the BEST TIME. Thanks Alfredo, Moises, Jose Miguel, Francisco, Anna, and EVERYBODY else.

Relatively new hotel in Cancun, The hotel is a bit far from the hotel strip and from the airport(45 minutes drive), a kind of isolated.I have a good size room facing the pool, Only drawback is that the staff did not mentioned that we have a all inclusive package, We went out for meals during the last two days of stay to avoid the long waiting list. otherwise , no compl...

hotel is big and spacious but very crowded. rooms big and very good. restaurants and bars busy and sometimes difficult to get a table. food ok and plentiful but not great. entertainment at night and tvs for watching sport. outside areas very good. beach and swimming were outstanding. water service to sunlounges. good tours desk. some staff very difficult to deal with a...

Privliges aluxes at isla mujeres exceeded our expectations. The hotel room was new, superior room a little small. Food was great best we had in Mexico and cheap prices. Highly recommend the restaurant by the beach for lunch and dinner. Upgrading rooms was well worth the money and recommend all Inclusive if you are a drinker. Beach was a true Mexican experience and ver...

There was a group of four of us that went down for a week vacation and stayed at this property. We all four had the best time of our lives at this place. The staff were very professional, friendly, and accommodating. The hotel was 5 star hands down. The location was perfect, in the middle of everything you needed within walking distance or riding the bus too. We have n...

I was extremely disappointed when arriving at the hotel and decided to move out early because of the noise from the neighbouring venue.. a BIKER BAR! They were playing VERY loud music all night long and attracting nothing but sketchy characters. The staff was kind enough to cancel my 2nd night though and help me find other accommodation.

This hotel is situated on a beautiful beach in the hotel zone. Nice big rooms, friendly staff, good pool. Not too far away from town if you want to go to eat cheaply (the hotel food is nothing special and not cheap.) Far enough away from the party scene but if you want that it is a short walk away. Friendly staff and nice decor in the hotel. They have a bar in the lobb...

I have stayed at Sandos in Cancun about 4 times during the same time period Dec 26-Jan 1. Several times there were problems with the check in process and they told me that I needed to pay more money. It happened this time too. The biggest disappointment was my room. It was near the ice machine and so there was a lot of noise. The room had broken or missing outlet cover...

Good location for Cancun -- near the big clubs and right on the beach. Taxi drivers all through Cancun, especially at the airport are horrible. If you want to travel around, or even have a group, rent a car. The Hyatt is one of about only 5 hotels in the area that is not an all inclusive. Whenever negotiating to buy something, including taxis, don't ask how much in US ...

We had a lovely stay at this hotel which has 2 pools which are immaculate and beautiful well maintained garden surrounds. Tennis courts are free to use and the complimentary racquets were better than my own racquet back home! Walk out onto the beach which although not quite as nice as the beach on the eastern front, is protected from the wind which was blowing a gale o...

The entire staff especially Adriana did an exceptional job to make our stay enjoyable. Our room was exceptionally clean and quiet the view of the ocean was amazing the pools were warm and clean and inviting, and the music was superb. This was a hidden gem that I am happy to have found. Thanks again to Adriana and to the staff at the Westin spa and resort in Cancun.

I travel often and have good reference points to assess the value for the money . This property is really overpriced. The rooms are average at best, there's no garbage can in the rooms. my room was advertised as "ocean view" but really had only about 5 degrees of view of the ocean. When I checked in which took 15 minutes, I heard literally 6 people asking to be change...

good place. wonderful artwork around the hotel, it is more like a gallery with rooms. when in cancun, particularly the hotel zone, location is not really that important. there are buses that run out the front of the hotel to take you into cancun centre, as the hotel is about half way up. it is next to a high market shopping centre, which has convenient stores as well...

By far the best place I have lived in. Sandy and Roberto and their adorable dog Princess made me feel right at home. I booked a bed, but got mega upgraded to the top floor room on the rooftop. As I was the only one on the top floor, I had the entire top floor to myself to enjoy the sunset and sunrise. There is also an Altar on the rooftop where I used it for my morning...

I was a little when we realised we would needed to spend a couple of nights in downtown Cancun, we previously stayed in the hotel zone. I shouldn’t have been. Smart Cancun by Oasis is a perfect place to base yourself either for a stopover or even a holiday. When we came to check in I presented my confirmation from agoda, which showed that I pre paid. He wasted 30 minutes having me forward him my reservation and fumbling through his computer bef...

Traveler impressions of Cancun
Beautiful city with many activities and tours that will keep you busy and very satisfied. Just be ready to spend additional money for the best activities and services.
2 Things I enjoy: Historical trip: Chichen Itza/ Coba / Tulum Blue waters and sunshine: Xelha / Tulum
We bought this promo package but they didn't"t mention us that we need to attend this meeting for the time share.
Cancun is an American holiday hotspot and as such is very expensive. I would not suggest staying hear at all as it is a rip off.
The city is good. But, there are night clubs and police all around the city center, which means the city has both sides.
Cancun is not an awesome city. It is basicly the zona hotelera for springbreakers from the US. We just stayed there single nights for transition from the US and again for departure to Mexico City! It culd be fun if you just want sun and beach but now for experiencing Mexico!
The best part of Cancun was being able to walk out of our hotel right onto the most incredible beach.
It's fun if you want to spent spring break with drunk American kids or enjoy all inklusaive with your family! Apart from that.
cancun is a overrated destination. It is dirty overcrowd and over priced.A a single older male there was no entertainment.
Cancun is a nice relaxing and safe city. It is also cheap with buses along the hotel zone costing 75cents per ride.
It needs a better road system and you should have a recycling program explained to the inhabitants so that the trash does not clog up the street drains when it rains.
busy city with lots of things to do. great restaurants and lots of shopping. Many places to see and very welcoming locals
Great beaches, and activities, great variety of hotels, lots of good restaurants, a little expensive but they´re great
I did not encounter any bad people the whole time i was there. They all bend over backwards to help you.
Nice city, Awesome and crowded beaches, white sand. Go to Tulum if you want enjoy beaches. Stay in Cancun if you want party.
big modern beach resort with hotels, shops, restaurants, night life and wonderful beach and turquoise sea
to the natives..the only thing i would change is let the tourists use your rest rooms please..that is the only thing i found wrong with cancun.
We have been in Cancun two times now. First we stayed for one week at the Omni Hotel, this year we stayed in a small, no frills, lovely apartment-like suite for two nights.
this season is off season that not too many tourists at the moment. downtown is very safe even at night.
If you like the Caribbean Beach, you can go to Hotel Zone area by R1 bus easily. You then can enjoy the Sunny beach there.
Little bit disappointed than I expected. My friends who went together said that beaches in Florida are better.

More about Cancun
Offering visitors a great mix of the relaxed Caribbean beach days and a lively nightlife, the resorts and hotels of Cancun are as suitable for families as they are for single vacationers looking for a whirlwind vacation. Most of the hotels and resorts of Cancun are concentrated within the Hotel Zone, which is home to the highest number of all-inclusive resorts and activities geared directly toward tourists.
Activities in Cancun usually involve a beach chair and a cocktail, though there are plenty of more elaborate options available. Traditional bull fights, similar to those seen in Mexico City, are staged in Cancun. Not for the squeamish, these exciting affairs offer fascinating insight into the culture of the Yucatan Peninsula. If the beautiful turquoise waters and white sands aren’t enough, travelers can engage in water activities such as snorkeling and diving, which are often arranged by the hotels and resorts.
Of course, there’s a lot more to see and do in Cancun and the best way to discover what else this city has to offer in terms of attractions, landmarks, and hotels is by exploring the interactive map on this page.
