First visit to Cape Town and I was not disappointed. The people are very friendly. Visited all the usual attractions.
Kirstenbosch gardens were very special. Beautiful place. Climbed Table Mountain which was well worth the effort when rewarded with wonderful views. Boulders beach, just outside was wonderful sunbathing with penguins. V and A waterfront was lovely. Good places to eat and lovely to see seals in the harbour
One of my favorite cities in the world, easy to navigate, people are friendly and the dollar being so strong to the Rand meant dining out, cabs and everything was quite cheap.
A wonderful surprise. It's a place that after you visit it once, and want to return to again and again.
Rent a car or go on a tour of the wine lands and all the beautiful mountain passes around cape town
I'm from Sydney, and love Cape town, its beautiful, the waterfront is utilised for it's residents and not left only to industry.
They have kept the amazing old buildings that form the character of the city and built new buildings that support the new world that is arriving. It's cheap, beautiful, fun and an amazing town you seriously must visit
Love the sity, its clean and visible policing which creats a safe feeling. It has alot to offer the visitor from beaches to shopping and sightseeing.
It is easy accessible via the MyCity busservice and Uber.
Amazing place! Ther is so much to do, so much beauty, and so much fun. What a great city. I would love to live here.
Cape Town presents an immense variety of sightseeing, cultural activities, dining and wine farms. It is impossible to fit in a worthwhile component of possible activities into les than 3 days.
Easy to walk around the central area where most museums are situated. Drive around the cape peninsula is spectacular.
One of the most beautiful cities in the world - it has everything: good food, excellent infrastructure, good telecommunications, superb hotels, nice people, great wine, excellent sightseeing.
Excellent place to spend a week. You can use Cape Town as your base and travel outside the city easily.
The Hop On, Hop Off bus is great for getting around to many of the attractions (Table Mountain cable car, the gardens, Hout Bay, Camps Bay, etc).
Cape Town is an exceptional city that offers a lot to most visitors. It is designed to have an unspoilt image yet offering a lot for you to do.
The Red Tour is a must and would recommend the two day tour which is very economical. It dose three tours, with a hop on / hop off option. One of the tours takes you up to Table Mountain cable car. The cable car trip to the top is at additional costs. The Robin Island trip is also a very must do trip. In all you will not be stuck for something to do in Cape Town
Cape Town is a nice modern city with great restaurants and friendly people that all speak English. There are areas to avoid, and like anywhere else; if you are looking for trouble, you can find it.
But overall, Cape Town is a safe city with frienly law enforcement personnel, and everything basically works! I lived in Cape Town several years ago, and I would say if anything, it is better now than before.
Most beautiful friendly clean city in the world keep up the great job i am so proud that we have such a beautiful city in South Africa world class
A very good place with a nice weather to stay, the place has massive natural tourist places to view.
Cape town wouldn't be cape town without the tourism sites(Table mountain aerial cable way, Boulders Beach,Robben island (were Nelson Mandela was imprisoned),Clifton beaches(1,2,3,4),District Six Museum, Groot Constantia,Table Mountain Park,Iziko South African Museum,Bus & Canal tours,Two Oceans Aquarium,Victoria & Alfred Waterfront & Malls and so on.
I had an awesome and fantastic experience. I am now obsessed with CAPE TOWN
Cape Town just never ceases to amaze me so much todo and so little time!!! If the weather is un pleasant on one side of the mountain you can go on the otherside and the weather just right it is so diverse and the beauty just breathtaking!!!
Hop onto a citysightseeing tourbus to bring you to or near these: 1) Prep a blanket & picnic for chilling in the Kirstenbosch Gardens 2) Vineyards 3) Table Mountain 4) Animal/game reserve.
Do your research online for booking of tickets to skip the lines at Table Mountain & reservations at Moyo (fabulous dining experience)
Cape Town is always a pleasure to visit. Lot of sightseeing. Especially Table Mountain, scenic drive along Chapmanspeak to Hout Bay and Cape Point.
Do not forget the city centre with Company's Gardens and Churches. Beaches also good to visit and lot of other places to see.
Great city for holiday, you will find good food everywhere. V&A and winery are a must-do. You should try to book the tickets for Table mountain & Robben island in advance, especially during school holiday.
But you really need a clear day for table mountain so buy it online the day before is the best way, no ticket and you will end up in 2 hours line to buy ticket and another hour to get on the cable car.
One of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Also so many contrasts between poverty and those who have,
We only stayed in the area for two nights and therefore didn't get to see as much of Cape Town as we would have liked.
We suggest anyone planning a visit here should try and stay at least 3 or 4 nights and book attractions like Robben Island well in advance.
One has to be very careful about your belongings..especially cell phone and money...Not a very safe place.
Be vigilant at all times...
One of the Top 3 cities in the world. A little Singapore or Monaco in Africa. If you have a company (a local friend) it is even better.
The location of this city is so amazing. With the mountains in the center and surrounded by bay and ocean, it is very perfect place for nature adventure.
Try to visit in the end of winter or spring, then you'll get the bonus of its various floral.
Beautiful city and friendly people. Loads to do and see. Great places to eat. Fascinating doing a tour of the shanty towns: very eye opening.
Easy to drive around too
For divers, you can't miss the shark diving in Cape Town, super super cool. For suffers, you will love the waves here.
For photographers, the scenery here is absolutely amazing. For families and couples, this is such a romantic place. African food here is also delicious. People here are very very nice. I even didn't want to go home after 10-day stay in Cape Town. There are so many activities that I haven't done yet. Surely, will come to visit Cape Town again.
Staying at the V&A Waterfront area is for tourists. If you really want to feel like life of Cape Town from a local's point of view, stay in the City Bowl area and hangout there.
Cape Town is a fantastically beautiful city and has much natural beauty to explore during the day. However night time options were limited and we were constantly advised not to walk around, even the 50m from a restaurant to a bar in De Waterkant.
Very surprising to hear this from a restaurant owner. Decent Bars were limited. Stay away from Long Street unless being around alot of drugs is your thing.
