Quite disappointed, assumed it would be larger than it is, not a lot to see or do, nowhere to go at night, thought it would at least have a small array of shops, disappointed with the beaches as well, thought they would be pristine, but were covered in seaweed.
Good place to visit if you are interested in geology and the environment. Cervantes is a very tiny fishing village with one pub, a few shops, motels and a camping ground.
It is very close (15 km) to the Nambung Nat.Park where the remarkable Pinnacles landforms are a must to see. The Desert Info centre at the N.P. closes at 4:00 but you can still walk around the park. There is also a lake with ancient, but living stromatolites (of which there a only a few remaining colonies in Australia). Lovely beach. Very quiet but relaxing.
Good location for a one or two night stopover. Shops OK but limited. Good take away choices (3) but no where to go out for a beer other than the hotel bar.
This is a great place to stay for visit to Pinnacles. Very small town with few accommodation to choose from and definitely bring your own supper.
A quiet coastal fishing town, not much appears to be going on but it could be like a duck...calm on the top and paddling furiously beneath!
Great place to visit. It is a small fishing town that really does not have much there but the food at the motel is great.
The coffee shop at the caravan park is great. The location is pretty and close to the pinicales. I would go again with my family.
A nice small town. Friendly people. If you love the beach and surfing you could spend a while there.
However, its also a good base camp for just a few days to check out nearby national parks and reserves.
