Champasak hotels & accommodations

We were on our way on our motorcycle to the 4000 islands. Drove past a advertising board of The River Resort in Champasak and we thought we check it out. We booked the two day package as a consequence we didn't get to the Islands. From the lovely check in staff to the lady picking up the leaves, everyone treated us like royalty. The rooms are first class so is the gard...

This hotel was great. Super calm and very nice area to relax for a whole day if you want. - Strong wifi - Cold AC in rooms - Shower was nice and warm Overlooking the Mekong River, so peaceful and relaxing. A bit far from the town center but owner has bikes for rent which helps. The road in Champasak is paved and flat so very easy to bike around. Would definitely reco...

We love eco-friendly hotels! This place has a 3-stage water filtration system that filters ALL water to the faucet, showers, and toilets (you can drink out of them!). We love that they refill water for free (another hotel in Laos actually charged). So you can bring your own water bottles and refill instead of using multiple plastic bottles. Also, the waste water ge...

This hotel was our favourite by far after a two-week trip in Laos. Ronald the manager was incredibly helpful and professional and helped us on numerous occasions with tricky transportation problems. He runs this hotel de charme with such efficiency and positive, calm energy. The staff is so attentive and friendly. The design of the modern duplex rooms is stunning, the...

I spent two nights in the guesthouse, that is very conveniently located (2 mins from tourist office and atms) and is a sort of meeting point for travelers. The owner is extremely helpful, he arranges boats to islands, buses, changes money, shares information and most of all he keeps a warm smile even when very busy. All the family is welcoming. There is a very small ...

Host helped us with onward travel and a lovely trip to wat pu ;) his wife cooked lovely food, a huge menu with many thing not available, maybe a smaller menu to help staff as they didn’t speak much English but we did not find it a problem. The food we did have was lovely x Champasak is a sleepy town and the local spa was very good value for money. Comfortable spacious ...

champasak guesthouse is a nice place in the sleepy champasak town. the guesthouse is quiet like the rest of the lethargic town, but that's what people come here for, so don't expect a pulsating party. people come here to chill; gather ones thoughts, observe and watch the mekong flow by. my room is spacious and very clean, although the bed's a little harder than what i'...

My stay there was pleasant, convenient, and punctuated by meeting some interesting local people who shared some dinner and conversation with me. I'd recommend this place to anyone going to Champasak. You can rent a motorcycle right around the corner, and pho noodle shop close by

Simply run down, very unclean/unhygienic rooms. Mosquitos and cockroaches in rooms a problem. Flip flops are a must for the bathroom and walls paper thin - to the point where the light from the adjoining bathroom will light up your bathroom in middle of night! Staff are super friendly and speak good English but I think this backpacker favourite has had its day - you c...

Real reviews for hotels
Champasak is not really a town but a collection of villages. It is quiet and peaceful. To visit Vat Phou is worth a stay in this very friendly and nice city.
Apart from the wat Phu, which is about 7 km away, main interest is the road along the Mekong river. There are a few French colonial houses there and nice view on the Mekong.
Came to see Wat Pho - so only stayed one night - but could easily of stayed two nights as the hotel was very good
highly recommend to come for the Wat Phu festival on Frebuary every year. Wonderful experince for the 3 days festival at Wat Phu temple.
The UNESCO heritage site of Vat Phu is well Worth the detour the bilingual (french and English) books printed and for sale at the museum - the guide to Vat Phu and the museum catalogue are well written and documented.
Rural area with nice nature resources. Water falls are major attraction but took couple hours to commute between places.
